Today is THE DAY!!!..........Interview at 1pm Irish time, we are all set and as ready as we can be, now if my heart and nerves would just calm down, this is only the biggest interview of my life, so no pressure right....NOT!!! My future lies in the hands of a complete stranger, i am not scared, I am not scared, i am not scared.....YES I AM!!! Thank the Lord Tommy is here with me, the calming force.

Texas this really sucks big time, it is so unfair, you really do deserve a break if it does not get approved today then it JUST HAS TO BE your week next week. Just so you know it took them from May7th to July 2nd for them to turn our RFE into a NOA2. Stay strong, we are all feeling your pain and rooting for you, soon this part will be a distant memory, i promise!!

Thanks guys for the Congrats, my head is spinning trying to make sure i have everything i need for Monday, not much notice in the end huh! but we will be good to go. Tommy will arrive at the week end with all his docs, i can't wait to see him, think he is still in shock that it is in 5 days, he was expecting more notice,lol we went from 0 to 60 in a few seconds.

Monday is going to be a great day interview 1st at 1pm Irish time and then Tommy, me and Chana(my daughter) are meeting up with Sabi for a drink and chat, really looking forward to meeting our VJ VIP in person.

OMG!!....Go Dublin, since my last post and lil' rant Packet 4 arrived......And to my huge suprize my interview is next week, Monday 27th at 1pm to be exact! Wow thought it would not be til Sept so this is so much better, Tommy will have to board a flight this friday night not much notice and will cost the earth but so worth it...have not seen him since March.

For Irish.....packet 4 is just a letter with interview date on it, your case no and names of who is travelling, it states you have to bring it to the Embassy, that it IT!!

SO happy and relieved....thank you Lord!!

Meanwhile still waiting to hear back from Dublin Embassy with an interview date, they received my notice of readiness 2 wks ago now and still have not got back to me.....driving me crazy, wedding date in 7 wks, need an interview Dublin come on pls!!!!

I don't think my petition will leave earlier than on Friday and the embassy gets it next week but who knows, how cool would that be if we had the interview on the same day!!!

Once it leaves NVC, usually within 24 to 48hrs, it only takes a 24hrs to get to Dublin by DHL. Ours arrived on a Saturday 28th July and i guess landed on a desk on Monday 30th and we had pack 3 on Friday 3rd Aug, this part goes fast Sabi, now i can not comment on pack 4 yet as it has not arrived but looking at others usually about 7 to 8 workings days after they receive pack 3 back, so i am hoping for mail on Friday from embassy.

I think we will both have interviews in Sept and they seem to be on either Thurs or Fri, so we could be there at the same time andit would be so cool!!! We could go celebrate in good old Irish Style!!! However if yours is after mine we will meet up, and go through the details in person, over an Irish Coffee after your work day is done.........

Just checked with NVC, we got a case number! woohoo!

Yeah Sabi, like everything in this country the postage has gone up!!!......it is not €12.50 per envelope so that is €25 for me as one envelope required for each person. I was thinking of writing and asking them for an early interview date but Tommy wants to be here and he needs some notice for work so i didn't request it. However when the date arrives if it say not til end of Sept i will either call or email them and see if there is an earlier date due to a cancellation.

Also just to let you know the quality(print) of my pack 3 as in, the checklist and the DS 230 and i 134 is very poor all faded so downloaded the DS 230 from Dublin Embassy site and typed it then printed it, looked so much better, same with i 134 support docs for Tommy. The checklist i had to use as it not available on the site. Goes without saying keep a copy of all for your own records...and glad i can help!

Maybe a stupid question but how the cover letter should look like? I always have problems with those and I couldn't find any sample on VJ...

Sabi, not sure if this answers your question but i am assuming you are asking regarding embassy stage....

Dublin does not require a cover letter when you get pack 3, they tell you what to send back ie the checklist and letter of readiness (both on same sheet) and DS 230 part 1. You have to tick the checklist and on the readiness part fill out your name both print and signature, case number, date you are sending it back and your address. Also it asks who will be attending interview with you or alone.

Also included in the pack is info on the medical, the photos required 2 (2x2), the support docs and visa fee ($240 international bank draft) and envelope size and postage(12x14, €12.50 postage).

Cover letter for interview in form of continuing intent to marry is the only letter i know of.........unless pack 4 states otherwise, will let you know once it arrives.

what do you mean by that? My letter says it has been forwarded to listed consulate but don't all those letters say that? Shouldn't it go to the NVC first?

I just wanted to let you know that mine said that too, but it still goes to NVC, as that is DOS and they have to issue the case number. When we received our NOA2 Tommy called NVC and they told us it has to go through them! It took 23 days before they scanned it into their system.

Oh my god!!!! I was driving home and my phone chimed that I had a text. I was just going to ignore it, but I took a peek to see who it was from and it was those infamous digits that come at the top of a USCIC text.

I almost wrecked my car!!!! I got to the stop light, clicked on my mail, and there it was APPROVED!!!! I started bawling, the car behind me was honking at me to go, I forgot how to drive for a minute!!!! I have never felt happier in my life. I called Ray from my cell, and he knew as soon as he saw me calling because we never call, we text or skype....

195 days!!!!!! Thank you all for being so supportive. I need a drink, or a hug, or something... not sure.....

Now all I can think about is you Texas22... Please say you got one too....

We filed on Jan 30th, and approved July 2nd, with an RFE in May. Just got pack 3 from Dublin on Friday last and returned it today!

VSC were way behind with Jan filers and it could have a knock on affect on other months, some of our jan family are still waiting!!

Hey Mel, yeah things moving and shaking here, lol.....we are hoping for a quick interview date. I am not sure if Dublin usually cal to check on the pack 3 as i have not seen it in any Irish posts, but i am glad they did....good customer service!! I sent it back today so maybe i will hear something about a date by Fri, though that might be hoping for a little much....but we here on VJ are good with hope!!!!

i called NVC today.. to get CASE NUMBER>.

the person told me.. that it would be 15 business days till they get number assigned..

and the CONSULATE would be contacting ROSSANA>. is this true?

Hi skiptex, It seems to be true....................... We got approved on July 2nd and when we started calling NVC they told us the same, and they do not count the day you get approved. We had July 4th in there too which was not counted and they said if there is a backlog files take longer to get scanned. Go Figure!!!! Ours took 23 days!!!! \

If they have not received it in 15 business days then they will manually assign you a case number. Once it gets scanned it leaves there quick within 24hrs usually by DHL to the embassies. And then in our case embassy got it monday and we got pack 3 on friday Aug 3..
