Well...Niether yes or no, yet. They asked him for contact information from some neighbors in Ghana and one in Lagos. They asked him to schedule a date for our daughter's mom to come in and have the paper notarized to allow her to immigrate with my husband, and so they can ask her some questions.

One week left. Medicals complete, just waiting for the results and praying they won't need additional tests.
-
Happy Easter, everyone! Just two weeks and counting until interview day. I'm both excited and nervous! Can't wait to have my family together.
-
I made myself wait a few days and then called the NVC this morning. Chinedu and our daughter's interviews have been scheduled for April 15. I am feeling thankful and ecstatic right now!!!

CONGRATS!!!! I saw ur message on my wall, I think our problem came when I didn't tell the boys mom to bring any vaccination records to the boys' medical appointment. Please, tell hubby to get all of his and the baby's vaccination records ready so he can bring them to the medical. Might save you a few bucks! I hope. If you have any questions moving forward you can inbox me or get my number from DWHEELS, as im a step ahead of you.

I can usually manage to be pretty patient, but I found myself calling NVC not once today, but TWICE to ask if an interview had been scheduled
-
Just here waiting and trying very hard to be patient...I think I will be praying for the RIGHT date, rather than a quick date...I'll keep you all posted on how that works out for me.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!! (Yes, that WAS meant as a shout). Just got off the phone with the NVC. Case complete for both my husband and daughter, as of February 12, 2013. They are in line for an interview date. Yay! Yay! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Just here playing the waiting game again. I know everyone here's either been through it or is waiting now for whatever reason. So at least I'm in good company, right?
-
I mailed off the last of the NVC paperwork today. I'm so excited! Now I guess its back to waiting...

I got the documents yesterday and made all the copies tonight. I just need to get them all in order & send them off. I am thinking though that since I am one document away from having my 2012tax return completed and I am supposed to have that by Jan. 31, I may as well wait 3more days and include it, so that there's no chance of that holding up the case. Opinions?

Chinedu got all the documents sent off to me this morning. They should arrive by Monday, then the mad dash to get all the copies made, get everything arranged, and send it all off, along with the DS-230s. Yay!!!!!!!!
-
Good news! Chinedu now has the passport for Favour, his birth certificate, and police clearance from Lagos. He heads back to Ghana tomorrow. All that's left is obtaining police clearance in Ghana and sending me the documents. Yay!!!! Looks like we're moving forward at last! Maybe he'll get to interview in March.
-
Well People...Chinedu's in Nigeria now, trying to round up all the documents we need (FINALLY!) and get back to Ghana in time for my arrival there. Just 6 days until I leave, and Christmas cleaning and packing still to do. AAAhhhhh!!!
-
Going to see Chinedu in Ghana after Christmas. I only get to stay about a week, but I am SOOOO excited!
-
Praying like crazy for you tonight! May God be with Divine at the interview tomorrow and may you be able to bring him home right away.

I'm still around =0) We've just been hitting roadblock after roadblock, it seems. We've been dealing with all of those. Eventually, it will all get straightened out, right? How have you been?

Hard to believe summer break is almost over! Where did all that time go? Just gearing up for school/work to start again. Bring on the stress! It helps time pass much faster=0)

And NOW his case is officially transferred to Nigeria. It only took two months. No big deal, right? He even has a spiffy new NVC case number that starts with "LGS".
-
I have been married to my best friend for one year today. I love him more than ever and would not change it for anything (even with all the visa hassle:)
-
Well...Good news! The NVC FINALLY transferred my husband's case to Nigeria. Yay! Maybe now, we'll be able to get things rolling again.

Well I have had three marriages prior and I have three children. Two grown and getting out of the house. WE also want one more and my youngest is 5. I was a co-sponser for a Kenyan man last year from my church. This was after I'd already met my husband for the first time and came back home. I don't believe that will get in the way. 1) my husband knew about it before I co-signed and 2) the guy I co-sponsored...he and his wife are about to open a store. He already has most of his requir...

It seems we've hit a road block. My husband's case has been routed to go through Ghana (where he lives). We decided that rather than going through the headache of getting his residence permit there, we'd have his case transferred to Nigeria (his country of birth). He emailed the NVC (with a copy of his Nigerian passport biographical page attached) to ask that it be transferred. This was done on April 16th. Still nothing. I emailed over a week ago, also including the attachme...
