Just kidding...The lady I spoke to was wrong. They haven't actually transferred it. It's under review, and they are waiting for the embassy in Lagos to decide whether or not they'll accept the transfer...This should be decided within the next two weeks.

#######...two more weeks? Wow! Well God is able! I have noticed that there are quite a few mixed race couples that seem to get denied right away in Nigeria. Have you heard of this and do you know why this is? I think I'm going to start a forum about it.

I've heard about it and i have no idea why. Maybe they assume there's no way a white American woman could possibly fall for a Nigerian man; hence, it must be a scam. I have been very worried about this lately, especially since we seem to have quite a few "red flags": We're different races, i have been married before (to a Kenyan man, no less-here on a student visa), different religions, married on first visit, no subsequent visits, and I have 2 kids. I am really hoping...
