So my fiancée went for her CFO class the other day....and now is going thru her medical

We will get the sticker on her way thru Manila to the USA

So during the one on one interview.....she is answering questions...and the guy says she should come back for a further one on one interview

My fiancée says ..."look...my flights this week and for my other trip for my embassy interview are all set....I am not leaving this room without my certificate"

So he consults with someone else

And the bottom line was that he wanted money for lunch for 3 people.....when she asked how much, she did not get an answer...so she gave him 500 php...

She got her certificate....a very cheap bribe....but nonetheless a bribe

I hate corruption (hmmm...that must be why I hate politicians LOL)

I am sure the Philippines is rife with corruption

I would like to suggest to u or ur fiancee to report this to CFO. let their administration know about what that guy did to your fiancee...cfo does not tolerate this kind of bribery or corruption. if u let them know and tell them who that person is or about this incident, right there and then they will kick out that person.. I am just saying this because my counselor mentioned this to me last time she called me..this might help lessen those corrupt people inside their office. This is not the first time i read about this kind of incident at CFO. the one I knew happened in Cebu..

• Passport, at least 6 months valid

• Photocopy of Passport Biographic/Data Page, the page in the passport that contains the applicant's photo and information. The photocopy should be the same size as the original, not enlarged or reduced. (vertical position, short bond paper)

• 3 pcs recent 2x2 visa photos (2-USEM, 1-St. Lukes)

• Visa Interview Appointment letter from the Embassy OR Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available - 2 photocopies

• Fee: $223 (Paid in Peso at the prevailing exchange rate) P9812 as of Aug.1

• Applicants whose Civil Status is "annulled" or "divorced" are required to present the annulment or divorce papers before their medical report can be completed.

I had my medical exam Thu & Fri - only few were there

For USEM Appointment/Interview,

Put the following together:

DS forms, appointment letter and passport

=these will be initially presented to the greeters in their booth or tent before going through security screening;they will staple the ds forms and appointment letter together and put a barcode sticker on the back of the passport then they will return these to the applicant

=there are no tables outside the embassy, so if one will bring a lot of things, make sure that it will be easier to get these forms..

=at the waiting area, the greeters (ladies in blue shirt) will collect these.. hand it to them so ur number will flash on the monitors right away for the biometrics (after they submit these forms inside the Annex bldg)

= DO NOT forget to put NONE or N/A in empty boxes/lines on the DS forms

==wait for ur number to flash on the monitors for the biometrics=

- Passport will either be collected during the biometrics or during the interview with the Fil. officer

==after the biometrics, wait for ur number to flash on the monitors for the interview with the Fil officer==

For the Filipino Officer/consul:

Put all of these together in one folder/envelop (whichever u prefer.. mine, i just took it from my case file and hold it while waiting for my number to flash on the screen for the interview with the Fil officer. When I was in front of the officer's window, i hand these to him):

-NSO Birth certificate

-CENOMAR

-NBI

-I134 with original signature

-Latest ITR (2012)

-Latest W2 (2012)

and the rest, put in separate folder/envelop/sections(whichever u prefer and makes u easier to get them).. the consul will just ask if they want to see something else.. as for me, i was only asked to present pictures of me and Robb for the proof of relationship with the Petitioner..

the Filipino officer will also look for the BPI Receipt.. I asked if i can give the photocopy (the officer agreed but still wants to see the original copy of the receipt so i showed it to him

As for the American consul, no documents were asked from me.. but it is also a case to case basis at the embassy so just ready the other docs you have..

I hope this will help.. hehe.. this paper was given to me at the ticketing booth along with our lucky number during our interview..

Along with the I-134, you would need to provide the ITR(1040) 2012 and W2 - 2012.. that's it.. the rest, you set it aside unless the Filipino officer will ask for it.. it's also good to be prepared but these are the docs USEM wants to look at first..

Prepare all these docs and hand it to the Filipino officer..

She called them and they said no she couldn't do that. If you want to do it on a day other than your flight you have to go to the office.

But, she is going to get it just before her flight. The flight is at 7:40am, so it will be close.

cfo naia desk is at terminal one.. beside TIEZA travel tax desk.. between the entrance doors with the xray / conveyor machines..

if ur fiance arrives in manila early/before cfo manila close at 5pm,maybe she can just get the sticker at the main to be sure..

she can also get the sticker at naia.., but it's too risky..cfo naia desk opens at 5am and her flight is at 7:40am.. the officer there also advise to be there at the airport 3hrs before the flight..if Janen will register at NAIA, it is too risky but, possible if CFO naia desk cooperates too..

I guess the word patience is applicable here.... hahahha.... Oh I love the feeling of anticipation. But I am more than thankful because I have the reason to wait..... waiting for an approved visa rather the other way around.

i think for pick up at MOA, it would take 2 business days since "issued" before 2GO MOA gets our packet.. and their website also don't give much info bec the transportation isn't that longer compared to those packets that will be delivered in the provinces.. those packets that will be delivered in the provinces or in other places other than moa, i would says gets more updates from 2GO compared to those that will be delivered to MOA..

Your CEAC status is almost the same as mine. Though I had approved visa last week 08th of August, then Friday was a holiday. Comes Monday-Tuesay status was READY, Wednesday - AP for final processing and yesterday Thursday was ISSUED.

So I am wondering maybe I will be receiving a text message today? Tried calling but no avail. Also you mention their site is not reliable and it true. While UStravel docs says "Your passport is still with post".

mine was issued thursday too.. got my visa packet "monday" so maybe u will get urs on monday too. ours that time was picked up at usem (monday) the same day wen we picked up at moa.. once they picked up ur visa packet at usem, they will text u right away..wait for their text at around 3-4 pm on monday.. or if u r near moa, visit 2go as well in the afternoon. i have a feeling that ur visa will be available on monday..

Does this usually happen? - yes

What does this mean? -in my case, it means 2GO got our packet already

I also checked 2GO's website to track my passport, entered the UID number and it was invalid. - as what i had experienced with them, 2GO never gave us an update even using the UID or case number or passport number

where will be ur pick up/delivery location? when we got this message "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted." in US travel docs,

2GO already picked up our packet at USEM. They usually picks up the packet at around 3pm as what we have told and 1-2 days after the visa was issued.but again there's still a "depends" too.. when we picked up our packet at 2GO MOA, their site never gave us an update.. when we tried to call 2GO MOA, their line was also busy or no one answers.. sometimes, nobody is in their office.. maybe they were just busy with the package they are receiving.. so try to call again or go to the pick up location if it is for pick up or wait for the text message.. once the packet is in the pick up location, they will scan the bar code on our packet, then their system will automatically sends us a message to our cellphone..

St. Lukes updated their site again.. it's looks like it's back to "before" their aug 8 update

Do you know if she could go to the CFO desk the day before her flight?

I'm thinking she could go over there after she arrives in Manila the day before her flight here. I'm booking her a hotel at resort world, so it will be easy to get to airport (and they have free shuttle).

She is going to call the number and ask. I was just curious what you think.

I was thinking:

- She would arrive at Terminal 3, take shuttle to hotel and check-in or just drop off bags if the room is not ready.

- Take shuttle or cab from hotel to Terminal 1 or wherever the CFO desk is (she said that at the seminar they told her the person doing stickers could be in terminal 1 or 2 and to call before and ask).

she may call CFO NAIA desk first Dustin if she can do that.. also the other question is, will she be allowed by the security to get inside the terminal if her ticket shows that her flight is "tomorrow" not on that day she goes inside

here's our experience with that "instruction letter" or that "packet" and what's inside it..

• K1 visa applicants must present their instruction letter from the National Visa Center if they have not yet scheduled their Interview appointment.

I guess the reason why St. Lukes is now requiring the NVC letter if there was no scheduled appointment yet, is because there were applicants who were going to St. Lukes without the appointment yet nor the NVC letter but just the manila case number....

Anyway, just follow all the instructions and make sure you know all the answers on the form, then you will be fine! So easy.. sometimes too much reading at the forums specially with negative experiences will only stress us out! LOL

Hi RobbandAnn. I just want to clear things, I am 23 so I'll be having my parental consent right? So is it okay to have it handwritten so it doesnt need to be notarized? coz if handwritten parental consent was allowed. i will just choose that so i wont have to pay about the notarization.

23. parental advise.. if u want to have the parental consent too, it's fine... some just hand write their parental consent/advise and just had their parents sign on it... but really depends too IF CFO wants it to be computerized or notarized.. but it's better if u have it notarized so that it is really "official". and again, not all were asked for these at CFO but it's better to be prepared..

I dont know how or where to notarized forms, should i get a lawyer for that

Just got my K1 visa approved today. The lady did not give me any paper after veryfing to me if i have delivery option.

Is that normal? I read that tracking thru 2Go... you just need to put your passport no. Normaly how many day before you can track your visa/passport? Please advice.

the paper that the personnel (will provide) who is verifying the visa delivery is optional esp if u made an appointment online.u may request to fill out that paper if u want to make changes of ur preferred visa delivery/pick up location. but if u scheduled online and ur selection is final then it is fine.. usually some of the visa applicants at usem who are immigrants are the ones who usually fill out that paper if they didn't made any visa delivery option yet.. some of these applicants chose their visa delivery option during their medical (at St.Lukes) and if they haven't finalized their visa delivery option yet, that's when they need to fill out that paper.. (i just heard these while we were waiting near the windows of those personnel who were verifying the visa delivery).

u may start tracking ur visa packet through 2GO if ur CEAC status already shows "issued" bec once it is issued, that's when 2GO will pick up the visa packet the USEM.. then 2GO will scan the barcode on the visa packet and send u a text message and update their site.. but in our experience, 2GO's website never gave us any updates! just the CEAC and US travel docs..

congrats! sounds like we had the same American Consul who interviewed us too and told us that it makes their job easier if the petitioner is there.

Glad my Fiance and I found VJ too! I just feel sad for those who doesn't have an option or they are unaware that there's such excellent Forum to visit.

Yesterday (08 August) when i was in the Embassy, while being told to double check our documents, I've seen some ladies that are just very innocent in filling up the form even when told not to leave black spaces instead put N/A or None.

true.. during our interview too.. there were girls who were freaking out because of their ds forms.. and some has to go out of usem to print another ds forms..
