Honey&Bunny,
I did the same as you. I applied for my wife and my step-daughter at the same time. I received two separate checklists as well.
Don't worry, they will keep your step-daughters case attached to the primary beneficiary which is your husband. So no matter what happens to either case, they will always be kept together even if they are reviewed at different times.
For me I foolishly made mistakes twice and received two checklists for my wife. When I finally corrected my mistakes then and only then did they move both cases forward together. Not one in front or behind the other.
We had an interview date setup for both cases together when all was said and done. During the interview both cases were sitting on the interviewers desk together.
We received the visas for both cases together.
Review my timeline, and also checkout the visa process app:

Hey everyone.
I wanted to give back to the community that helped my wife and I be together in June 2014, so I created an app called 'VisaProcess'.
It is a task based app that takes you through the steps of the visa process, along with the option to read or leave tips for every step. Finally it generates a timeline of how long it would take your case to complete based on historical data of similar dates.
It is available on both Android and iPhone.
- https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/visaprocess-ir1-cr1/id960466011?ls=1&mt=8
The app is 100% free to use with no ads, and I'm not selling anything. I'm a developer by trade and actually built it for myself. A friend mentioned how valuable it might be to the masses, and so here I am offering it to everyone with hopes that it will become another valuable tool in your process.
Right now it is in English, but is being translated to Spanish, and then eventually French.
Good luck on your visa petitions!

Just wanted to let everyone else waiting at the Nebraska service center know that I was approved today at 9:31 AM.
Prior to that I received a similar notice that others received that my Alien registration number had changed. This was yesterday night at 7:30 PM
Thanks and good luck to all those still waiting.

I'm getting nervous nothing yet (NSC 10/31 transfer, PD 3/14)
I'm right with you. We're in this together. I'm in NY and my petition is for my wife in DR too, so trust me you're not alone.

Congrats Beekeeper!! What's your pd?
Congrats! Nebraska is finally on Oct. 31st transfers.

First my priority date is March 1, then on the 24th it was finally touched and got a notification that my case was transferred. From NBC it was moved to TSC. When I received the hard copy, they made a mistake with my priority date. They instead put March 5. I called that to Tier 2 and he said they have March 1st on their system so they will correct it.
Now just received a notification that my alien registration number was changed. After almost 10 mos if waiting, they just decided to change my Alien number.
This is very frustrating. Nothing against to those who got early approvals.... But they should take care of cases of Feb n March filers or earlier first! So frustrating!
I agree with Blueberry Pancake - hold tight. Past VJ members have reported receiving the same message right before getting approved.

Thank God!!!! My petition finally finally got approved today! YAY!!
USCIS
03/1/13 - I-130 Sent
03/12/13 - NOA1
10/30/13 - Transfer notice to NSC
11/21/13 - NOA2
Congrats! My NOA1 was 3/15 and my transfer to NSC was on 10/31. Dare I say I hear something tomorrow, next week the latest.

I am a march filer PD is march 21 my question is in June 2013 I HD to change my mailing address with USCIS does that also change my PD because I'm seeing a lot of March filers getting transfered pretty much in order except for mine just curious if any one know about PD thank u
I was transferred on Friday, Nov 1st. My PD is 14th of March, and I changed my address on July 26th. So I would say based on my experience, changing my address didn't stop me from getting transferred. That's all I can say in that regard.
Hope that helps.

BTW, the one in May was expedited so that explains why it came before March.

Hi All.
There were three approvals reported today by VJ users.
May 3rd, Feb 20th, and Mar 3rd. Congrats to all of them
Promising for the rest of us.

Thanks so much for replying. Based upon the information you provided, I see that I would have to do the CBRA for my child first/alongside the K1 visa.
Thanks again.

Forgive me if this question has been answered before as this is the first time on this site...
I'm in the process of filling out the paperwork for my fiance in the Dominican Republic via a K1 visa. She has two daughters and the youngest is a newborn baby that is also my legit daughter.
My question is do I fill out the K1 visa and apply for my fiance and the two daughters together in one package? - OR - Do I declare my daughter first and do her paperwork individually (passport and all), and then file for my fiance and her other daughter under the K1 visa?
This whole process is very confusing and I just want to make sure I get it right the first time obviously.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
How does reviewing a case works when there are two cases together?

I had to wait two weeks each time. Exactly two weeks. They may tell you more so you don't call, and there might be delays, but for me it was exactly two weeks each time.
Furthermore, it wasn't less time because my daughter was setup for further processing, rather it was less time because we were already in the NVC system. In other words the petitions were already processed from USCIS and had case numbers assigned by NVC. NVC doesn't do a full USCIS merge each time they review your checklist.
I'm under the impression that makes things quicker.
