my hubby just called IMVU and talked to phone rep, and he was told that the first part of the review looks good and done ,now just waiting for the decision , he was advised to call again on Friday:) We're hoping to hear goodnews this coming Friday:)) Thanks be to GOD!

We just called USEM po this morning, thank God, nareceive na nila yung CENOMAR ng dad ko, though yung saken hindi pa po,hopefully this friday, makuwa na yung saken. We were told to call them next tuesday afternoon kasi holiday on monday. Di pa daw po nila ma resume ang reviewing ng case ng dad ko kasi wala pa yung CENOMAR ko. alam ko hindi po tayo papabayaan ni God. Hoping na you'll receive your visa na po

We called USEM yesterday, sabi po, they haven't received our CENOMAR, they told us to call again po. Pero Nasa NSO pasay na po yung cenomar namin wait wait nalang po kami...

hi vj's same here as mine, we had been interviewed w/ my son last oct 20, the CO told me that our visa was approved and wait for the visa to deliver.,as i waited for almost 3 weeks and much to my surprise or rather call it dismay the 221g letter and passport has been sent and asking us to repeat the medical and send it back to 2go after getting the results fr slec..

heres the frustrating part the story behind, when we had our medical last may 25,2011 the slec asks me to to undergo sputum test after the smear they told me that its negative from any bacteria and have to culture it for 8 weeks so i waited for the reults until aug, so were clear they informed me that my medical will expire after 3 months that is oct 29 to be exact.,,so had my interview oct 20 and sadly that's they're reason for our delay... the hardest part here is we need to start all over again back to zero.., my fiance's plan this january we'll going to repeat the medical and it will take us another 3 months of waiting to get the results...its really frustrating

hi there may i ask why it took for you to get your interview schedule? If you get your results last August and you learned that your medical will expire in 3months why didnt you get the earliest interview appointment as possible? Just asking , look at the intervals, ur interview was Oct 20...the medical will expire on Oct 29, not much time to process the visa.. I feel you tho..im sorry for this...God Bless n be strong.

Understanding your post your 221g issued right after interview is a Birth Certificate NSO re verification. Is that correct? What was the problem of your BC? Is it late registered or something? Since you sent it already to USEM, what did they say is the document OK?

A marriage index is a USEM jargon word (terms they use inside), I am a victim myself of this. I went through so much hardship with USEM people. I was told I should go to window 38 and I did, but then when I went a man told me, I'm not suppose to go there because I am suppose to receive a snail mail from USEM that's aside he told me the CO didn't sign yet the paper request. I waited for the snail mail nothing arrived. After about 2 weeks I called, the phone rep told me, I can now go back to window 38. What's wrong with them right?? They lie or come up with excuses to cover up their lousy working performance.

Can you go to window 38 without an appointment? YEEEEES you can, and you don't have to line up outside. Just tell the security check person, you were told by your CO to pick up something at window 38 then be guided inside. My advice is, before you go there make sure

the request is already signed by your reviewing officer.

What is a marriage Index? I did a big boo boo on this too and dragged time on me just the more. On the phone rep said, it is a certification that shows previous marriages. Another rep on different day I called when I asked what's the difference between MARRIAGE INDEX vs MARRIAGE RE VERIFICATION, he cannot give an answer.WHAT A SHAME RIGHT! So thinking I am already married I thought EASY! I went to NSO website I clicked CEMAR then did the re verification procedure. Why would I do CENOMAR for non-marriage??? I am married now!!They didn't just tell me it is another CENOMAR request and they kinda do balance check on records. Your CENOMAR re verification should certify your previous marriages.

You can do the marriage index or simply CENOMAR re verification 3 ways. Online, over the phone or you can go to NSO Pasay branch.

12/12/2011- right after my interview I applied via E-census to apply online for CENOMAR reverification

12/15/2011- received notification from E-census that they already dispatched it on Dec 15,2011.

12-20-2011-Called Usem today but they told me they didn’t receive any document yet from E-census. 

12-16-2011- E=census failed to deliver my CENOMAR reverification

12-21-2011- dispatched date

12-23-2011- Documents received by NSO Pasay

12-29-2011- USEM received the CENOMAR reverification

01-04-2012- reviewing by the CO

The consul said he just needs some additional documents, I think it's because my mom and dad has 10-year age gap. I remember the lady in the pre-screening window kept asking me if I'm already married, I said no, I just turned 20 last january 2, she also repeatedly asked my dad if he was married before he met my mom.

OMG! I just called IMVU USEMbassy Manila and I learned that they didn’t receive yet the CENOMAR reverification from NSO Pasay! The call agent told me that the USEM Liason officer didn’t pick up the documents last Friday(Dec 29) due to holidays!!! It was last Dec 19 when I complied . I called last Dec 28 and told me they already picked up the documents..Why I get different answers from a single simple question?!I don’t think they really care!

Hello po! Me and my dad were petitioned by my mom separately, IR1 and IR2 po ang category namin. We just had our interview last Dec. 28. We weren't told kung denied po o approved ang visa. But ang sabi po, Our documents are all good naman daw po, kailangan lang talaga nila ng CENOMAR namin to prove na hindi pa po ako ikinakasal, btw, 20 yrs old na po ako, and ang dad ko at mom ko, may age gap sila ng 10 yrs, pero married na sila for 28 years.

Binigyan lang po kami ng re verification form for CENOMAR. Hindi din po binalik ang passport namin, which is good daw po sabi ng mga nakausap ko. Ang sabi, punta lang kami sa NSO pasay para mag request ng CENOMAR, and then sila na po ang magforward ng CENOMAR sa USEM. Right after po ng interview namin, pumunta na kami sa NSO. We're still waiting po kung ano ng lagay ng visa namin. Anyone na parehas po namin ng situation? Gaano po kaya katagal kami maghihintay para maissue ang visa?

Thanks for sharing, since you just complied last Dec 28 for the CENOMAR reverification so Im sure that the requested document is still on process and every Friday , a USEM Liason officer will pick up the reuquested document from NSO Pasay...so just need to wait and after the USEM received the requested document your visa applications will resume.. So just keep calling and emailing once a week to follow up after they received the document..I'm still waiting for our visas actually...goodluck to all of us..

Finally USEM received the requested document now have to wait for the goodnews on January2012:)

My husband had his interview on the 28th at the US Embassy in Manila. Mostly no questions asked until the CO found a loophole regarding his child (not mine and from a previous relationship) and wants a notarized and signed acknowledgement letter regarding his child from me and a re-verification of his CENOMAR. The passport was left in the embassy. I wonder if we're heading towards something unfortunate (which of course i hope not). Our visa category is IR-1. On the same date, he requested a copy of his CENOMAR (which is 3-4 days) and I sent my letter via UPS yesterday and will be received on the 2nd day of January.

Does it usually take long to get a visa or are we getting a visa at all? It's somehow frustrating but I do wish we'll be together soon. Thank you all VJers for always providing the support needed.

**On a positive note my husband said the CO was nice and not incriminating at all. I do hope to be with him soon.

CO asked for my NSO BC coz i submitted my BC to the NVC but it was from the civil registrars office, and they want my NSO. if the liason just picked up the docs from NSO, then i guess they pick up docs by batch, i applied 15th and u applied 19th:P maybe we have our docs in the batch they picked up yesterday. what sucks the most is the USEM is not open on 30th-3rd of next year. so the proccessing of it will start when they resume, that would be on 4th:( btw sis, how did u know the liason picked up the docs yesterday? ty for the reply

I called IMMIGRANT VISA UNIT yesterday and I asked if they already recvd my CENOMAR reverification and I was told that the Liason officer just picked up the same day and will forward to CO and advised me to call on Tuesday afternoon to follow up.

hello there lagrande! i am on the AP too. i was interviewed the 15th and got the form 221g from the CO for my NSO BC reverification, i went to the NSO Pasay and gave them the reverification form and paid the NSO proccessing fee, and was told that they will be the one to forward the BC to USEM, we called the USEM yesterday and my case is still under review:(

I had 221g for CENOMAR REVERIFICATION for incorrect CENOMAR issued to me by NSO. I was married but it wasn't stated on the CENOMAR...and CO asked for my marriage certifiacte and death certificate of my late hubby.Then he told me to reverify my CENOMAR....my question is, after they reverified my CENOMAR and learned that i had previous marriage, do you think they will still do a background name checks? Delayed Registration of Birth Certificate from NSO

1. The requirements are:

a) if the person is less than eighteen (18) years old, the following shall be required:

>>>i) four (4) copies of the Certificate of Live Birth duly accomplished and signed by the proper parties;

>>>ii) accomplished Affidavit for Delayed Registration at the back of Certificate of Live Birth by the father, mother, or guardian, declaring therein, among other things, the following:

• name of child;

• date and place of birth;

• name of the father if the child is illegitimate and has been acknowledged by him;

• if legitimate, the date and place of marriage of parents; and

• reason for not registering the birth within thirty (30) days after the date of birth

In case the party seeking late registration of the birth of an illegitimate child is not the mother, the party shall, in addition to the foregoing facts, declare in a sworn statement the recent whereabouts of the mother.

>>>iii) any two of the following documentary evidences which may show the name of the child, date and place of birth, and name of mother (and name of father, if the child has been acknowledged):

• baptismal certificate;

• school records (nursery, kindergarten, or preparatory);

• income tax return of parent/s;

• insurance policy;

• medical records; and

• others, such as barangay captain’s certification.

>>>iv) affidavit of two disinterested persons who might have witnessed or known the birth of the child.

b) If the person is eighteen (18) years old or above.

>>>i) all the requirements for the person who is less than eighteen (18) years old; and

>>>ii) Certificate of Marriage, if married.

2. Delayed registration of birth, like ordinary registration made at the time of birth, shall be filed at the Office of the Civil Registrar of the place where the birth occurred.

3. Upon receipt of the application for delayed registration of birth, the civil registrar shall examine the Certificate of Live Birth presented, whether it has been completely and correctly filled in and all requirements have been complied with.

4. In the delayed registration of the birth of an alien, travel documents showing the origin and nationality of the parents shall be presented in addition to the requirements mentioned in Rule 25.

was interviewed this month and the CO told me my visa is approved. all requirements are complete. but at the end they gave me a 221-g white form stating that my case is for further administrative review and they would just call me back. they did not release my passport. its more than a week now and have not heard from them. has anyone experienced this too? im worried. thanks

Yep due to namesake in NBI, was approved in my interview no additional documents requested but took 17 days to received the visa...my husband called USEM and I emailed USEM.

Have your fiance called them and articulate about the soon expiration of your medical and email them as well, it will help for sure...

If medical reports are expired before issuing your visa, you would have to get medical test again.
