"Six months seems like forever in this process, but when you look back you will realise how quickly it goes, especially in the last couple of weeks. Don't set yourself up for regrets when you get here, it's so much harder than you realise. It's great to finally be with your soulmate, but the drawback is that in your excitement to get here, you overlook what you are giving up."

...you arrive, so don't squander the time you have by worrying about how long it will be before you can give it all up. Make sure everyone has some kind of video conferencing and knows how to use it, visit everyone, go through your personal items and decide if you want gift some as mementos to your loved ones. Make memories to bring with you. It's often the little things that mean the most when you're here without them."

Sorry your interview date couldn't be any sooner. But hey, you are almost there. Hang in there!
I read someone's post here a while back that made me think and thought I would share with you.
"Your time would be better spent enjoying the company of family and friends, and scenery of a country you're going to be leaving behind, rather than panicking about how unfair it is to make you wait. Trust me, there will be a lot of things you'll miss from home once...

Update: I recieved my K1 visa on Feb 29! What a special day indeed. I can't believe the wait is over now. I will be "home" in 2 weeks and 2 days. I am so grateful for all the support in here. My best advice for a speedy process is to be organized, well prepared and pray about it. Our journey took a little over 6 months

Changed my flight ticket to Hawaii a week early and didn't tell my fiancee! Going to surprise her, so she'd better be home when I'm knocking at the door!

Quick update: Interview went very well. I was in and out of the embassy in less than 45 min! I was approved but need to submit a document that I had a lastname change in 2003 before they can print the visa. I am on it!

What do you do when your fiancee is sad and down because she misses you so much? You get her a kitten. Yup, problem solved.
