    I am now a believer of collecting air travel miles. We got a United awarded flight CPH-Honolulu, one leg on business class, the other on first class for 57500 miles + $150 fee! And I can bring two luggages for up to 70 lbs each for free too! :) A economy round trip ticket would have costed over $1800. So start collecting miles guys! :)

      Hehe, sometimes, you can find business/first class at the same miles price of economy one.

      We weren't gonna book a ticket until my passport arrived but this ticket is too good to pass. So we jumped the gun. In the worst case, I would have to reschedule but it doesn't cost anything to change the ticket the first time :)

    Thanks God I didn't wait till Friday to go to the bank and pay visa interview fee today. The bank said it will take 1-2 days to send original transfer receipt to me. It could have ended up ugly not having receipt for the interview...

    OH MY GOD!!! Packet 4 arrived, Stockholm Embassy honored my request for early interview date. Interview on 30th July, six days from now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I see, I'll probably be busy in the first couple of months too. A lot of things to take care of like wedding, driving license, AOS and all that. Also, I'll be fostering two kitties and a puppy to keep myself busy :)

      No it was not asked for. Packet 3 is country-specific. You should ask people from your country.

    Packet 3 likely lost in the mail. The embassy confirmed that they sent out on Friday 13th.... They couldn't have picked a better date, huh..

    Hi, when you sent your packet 3 to the embassy. Did it include the form DS-2001 Notification of applicant readiness? and you got packet 4 with interview date by email right?. Thanks

      I just can't believe that as soon as our case gets to the next step. Something always goes wrong out of the normal. At this rate, I don't know if I dare to set foot on an airplane...

    Just called DOS and a nice lady told me packet 3 went out on the 10th. Hopefully, I'll have a reason to hug the mailman tomorrow!

      Nope :-( If it doesn't' come tomorrow, I'd be a little worried... It shouldn't take more than 2-3 days even with regular mail unless it is sitting in the mailroom at the Embassy.

      Nothing today. Oh well, I hope it comes on Monday. When DOS said, it went out I think they meant the package was prepared and scanned out in the system. It probably got picked up a day or two later.

    So after nearly 3 weeks we got an email back from nvcresearch@state.gov What really funny is our case status inquiry was answered by "Jesus" from Written Inquiry Unit.

      I know but it's pretty funny because when we were waiting 4 weeks for our case to get to the NVC and sent that inquiry email we were praying to God xD

      and the email I got today was "Your case has finished processing at the NVC and is now at the Stockholm Embassy" - Jesus xD

      Yep, it's been a rollercoaster ride. Got so happy last week until I was told that our case is put under additional processing with no timeframe, though they said all cases undergo additional processing. Got depressed again in the last 2-3 days until today. Finally, our case is out of the US, it's gonna go much faster from now on. Medical exam on Monday :D

      Nothing more than the usual, seeing cases from VSC arriving at the NVC in 5-10 days after their approval date just made me frustrated lol. But well I know that I am not alone waiting for CSC's snail service.

    So the last 2-3 weeks before the interview is the real test for patience. Slowly I am failing this test. Should have kept the job a month longer...

Another week for them to send out package 3 and back and then you will be scheduled for interview within 2-4 weeks. It's a fast embassy. You will have your visa within 5-7 weeks if you make sure to do your part ;)

    Cleaning out my rooms, donating my clothes, books and stuff. Waited 5 months for NOA2, a couple more weeks more is nothing!

      It's getting close! I just officially quit my job, last day is August 3rd. Then I was totally dismayed by the fact that NVC didn't find my WAC number.
