No, I didn’t.

I had my interview yesterday and was approved! It was really quick and easy, I was in and out of the room in about 10-15 minutes. I will write a review below for those who are interested. I checked online yesterday evening and my status changed to “we approved your application” but my estimated completion time has gone from October to December, so I guess it might be a while before I get to do my oath ceremony!

My interviewer started by asking me to swear an oath to tell the truth, then to confirm my name, DOB, social, etc. Then we did the reading test (I just had to read a short sentence from an iPad), then the writing test (I had to write “citizens can vote” on the iPad with a stylus). Then we did the civics test. I got the first 6 questions right so he didn’t ask me any more. Then he asked me all the questions I had already answered on my application (had you ever been a member of the communist party, etc, etc). Then he had me sign the iPad a couple of times to verify that what I said was correct, and we were done! My interviewer was very friendly and not at all intimidating. He told me he was recommending me for approval and I will get a letter in the mail with the date of my oath ceremony!

Did my biometrics on 7/25, got notification my interview date was set this morning, the letter was on the website this afternoon. So, less than a week!

My interview is scheduled for September 13th! I can't believe how quickly that happened!

I did my biometrics this morning as scheduled and my estimated case completion time has gone down to September 2019!

My estimated completion time went from March 2020 to October 2019! 😀

Mine status says that my biometrics was scheduled on 07/05/2019 but there is no letter online and I don't know the date.

On Saturday it said my appointment had been set, but it took until this afternoon for the letter to appear online.

N-400 filed yesterday online. NOA received today, with estimated case completion time of March 2020 (8 months).

Randomly checked my case status online tonight and apparently I was approved today! I didn't get a text or email, but the website says I was approved, so yay! Good luck to everyone still waiting, it seems like the VSC is moving now! ?

No, your K1 visa gets you into the US, so there is no need for an ESTA.

I would suggest your husband should go ahead and get his US license ASAP. He will need to download the PA drivers manual (it should be on their DMV's website) and study that so he can take the written test, then he can take the road test. Here in KY you can drive on a foreign license for up to a year, but insuring a car on a UK license was going to be very expensive (although there are companies that will do it). I am not sure about buying a car though. I took my test in a rental car, they allow it as long as your name is on the rental agreement - at least they do here in KY, I should think they would in PA too.

Technically you can apply for an EAD as soon as you arrive in the country, but as you posted, it will expire at the same time as your K1, meaning you will only be able to work for up to 3 months. Why do you say you will be out of work for 6 months? Are you not getting married for 3 months? The EAD/AP card should only take between 2 and 3 months. Mine only took 70 days from the date I applied.

I only had 3 or 4 photos of my husband and I. But I gathered together as much other evidence as I could and it wasn't a problem.

I had the same thing happen to me, I just set up a new account. You will need a different email address though.

I did my POE through ATL and it took around an hour to do the immigration stuff. Nothing was wrong, they just didn't seem to be in a rush! Add that onto re-checking your bag, changing terminals etc, I would definitely take the longer layover. One less thing to worry about!

The embassy will mail the packet 3 to you. For me it was 4 days after they received my stuff that I received the packet 3, but obviously this varies a little.
