You are truly right ....Thank you for an honest answer.
It's best that you sit down with a qualified immigration attorney and review the complete circumstances.
If you want answers in a forum like this, it's best that you put all the pertinent info out there and then other posters can respond. Playing the "what if" game is not going to get the clear information that you need.

what time of crime (s) ?...
Depending on the crime(s), yes.

Quick question !!!!!!!!! If you're under political asylum and applied for citizenship can you still get put on removal procedure cause of past criminal record?
-
I got 4 conviction and I'm coming on 120 days no oath!
-
Same here try going thru 110 days and No OATH!
We are STILL waiting!
-
It's ok Good things come to those who wait.I always thought tha... yeah i remember can't wait to get it
.... thanks for your concern!
Joker69 - Sorry to hear you're still waiting. Try and remember my wait was 145 days before I got my email telling me I was scheduled for my Oath. You will get your email with Oath soon.
-
ok sound good thanks 4 the head up!
U can do it by ur self but I think it's better if u can get a lawyer
-
Oh, ok, that makes some sense. i'll keep you posted... if i sue them do i need a lawyer or should i do it on my own?
No man they can't do that. The only thing they can do is sent ur application . However the cant deny u bcux u decide to sue them. When u sue them it's the district judge who is gonna decide to make a decision on behalf of ur application
-
man you definitely right i'm gonna take that into consideration....so you dont think they can put me in removal proceeding cause of my past criminal record? i always expect the worst i don't know why but i shouldn't.. i've been had a clean record for the last 7 years i hope that helps my case...
Regardless they can't revenge on u like that. U are in title for a decision weather it's a yes or no decision. That's why u can sue them and the cant just deny u cuz u decided to sue them.
-
yeah man forsure no problem ....I'm cool on suing them my criminal history is kind of long it might back fire on me you know what i mean.
. ...good luck tomorrow hope they give you some good news!
Keep me posted an ill do the same. I got an onfopass tomorrow. I'll let u know what happen.

Hey there amigo I would go with your instinct.. Now it's time to just unwind, chill at ease, relax your mind !
Thank you, you have a nice weekend, too
Joker69 - You are reaching the 120 days limit and my hunch is that you will hear from USCIS soon. Until then, chill, relax, and enjoy the coming weekend!
-
you right I definitely agree with you I'm gonna relax from now on....I'm not in a hurry to become a USC if it happen it happen and if it doesnt happen them i'm ok with that too! thanks for giving me some positive fee back I'm definitely gonna take your advice
My suggestion, I would say relax and hold your horses and let things happen as they happen. Unless you are looking for a job that requires USC or some thing else that you need right away to become USC, I would say just give more time and let things happen. The more you push that might aggrevate the agents at uscis.

I'm done with infopass done 2 already ...still under testing and interview
What's ur online status says right now

Today I received a response letter from my district member of congress and the letter they got from USCIS saying date it 6/6/2012 we have received your constituent's inquiry. Although we are trying to resolve the case as quickly as possible. we need more time to thoroughly research this matter. The Congressional Liaison unit will update your office as eact significant action is taken on your constituent's case. I kind of knew that was coming the saga continues......

Has anyone here been successful getting their USC even with a criminal record?
-
yeah you right but i just keep reading about different cases online and it makes me wonder plus i have a few old cases that i think are not approval 'Not A Good Look' or whatever they may decide to do you know!.... but on the positve note it has been 7 years since my last arrest so i just hope that helps! Thanks for keeping in good spirit amigo appreciated all your wise positive words of encouragement. GOD BLESSED YOU!
Joker69 - You have a clean record for the past five years, right? So, don't give up, and stay positive. Wait for the 120 days to pass and then take action.
-
I really think i don't have any chance for approval cause of my long arrest records.... for now i might just prepare for the worst
-
I am you know i always take your advice thanks for staying with me in this journey...i will forever be grateful to you
Joker69 - IMHO, whatever you do, wait for the completion of 120 days which is just a few days away.

Thank you for the information and all your help. I really appreciate it!
Your case problem is that you don't have a decision yet. So, I would send copies of any notifications the USCIS sent you, to show your interview date, and anything they gave you at the infopass hearing, to show what you have already done since the interview. If you have a copy of the N-400 you submitted, you could include that as well, to give the Ombudsman some clue what may be causing the delay.

2 more question sorry sorry I really appreciated you helping me out !1. Supporting Documentation ? 2. Description of your case problem ?
Nicaragua, I assume. Until you take the oath, you are not a US citizen.

Thank you so much!

dumb question what do i write under country of citizenship ?
Check the link and follow the instructions. The Ombudsman cannot change a USCIS decision, but they can make suggestions to the USCIS on how to resolve your case. If you think your case is taking too long to process, they can intervene on your behalf. You have already completed the previous suggested steps. The next step is to contact the Ombudsman, unless you want to go outside the USCIS for legal assistance, or try and get your congressperson involved.
