  1. I got n-652 a decision cannot yet at my Interview back in Feb 29 still nothing i did drop my last name it has been 5 months since! I'm like whatever now..

Wow, it's so long. Has she changed her name? Why is that taking so long? Some of my friends passed their interviews in March and were scheduled to take their oath in 6 weeks. They already got their US passports. We all submited our paperwork in the same State and the same USCIS office in Arlington.

  2. Wowwwwwwwwwww! yes yes yes yesssssssssssss! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 months for me since the interview but i still keep my hopes up!tongue.gif

Just want to let you all know that I finally received my oat letter today. Thank you for all your support. i will be going for my oat ceremony next week. It took 9 months after my interview. Guess it's all worth waiting.

I will keep you all informed after the ceremony. Thank you all and God bless.

  3. It's ok Lucy Thanks for your concern And really appreciated your positive feed back...yeah who knows by now i doesn't matter it's what its Life is waiting for me so there for i'm gonna go and live it to the fullest! just a quick question can i still travel? would they let me back in?...thanks

I'm sorry, but glad you can move on in life. Just renew every ten years, and you're good to go. At least this way, if you surprisingly get a letter one day saying you're scheduled for oath, it will be a pleasant surprise. If not, you're already at peace with it. :)

  4. OMG my Amigo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're like an Angel i feel exactly the same way Nothing can be done. Its time to let go and move on. Its over, its done LIFE GOES ON ... yeah I'm definitely happy I still have my green card ...I can careless about the citizenship I'm a 100 % Nicaraguan and I always will be! Thanks for being a good friend and for al your great advice! GOD BLESS YOU!

I would say at this point, do not do any thing. Be happy you have a green card and move on with life. If they have approved, they would have approved by now. Do you want them to officially decline your app? What would make you happy. My advice, forget about that you ever applied and be happy being a GC and let what ever happens let it happen. I know how you feel. You would want to know what happens. May be some times it is good nothing happened and may be it is the best. Don't torture your self. I now it is easy for me to say what I am saying, but think it over and put your mind at ease instead of torturing your self.

  5. I don't know what else to do by now I'm like whatever got my last infopass Aug 3rd will see them but i really don't wanna go for them to tell me the same issssssh excuse my french ..I'm so tired of waiting it been 10 months by now since everything start it...innocent.gif

  6. I wish that patience wasn't such an important life skill, but I have to face the reality ... All I can do is try my best and hope. That's all we can do.

Thanks 4 being part of it! God Blessed you Amigo!

Joker69 - Patience my friend. Things are moving, though albeit slow. Keep hope. Remember, hope is the foundation of life.

Amigo, stay strong, stay tough. Not only for this citizenship process, but also for other challenges that we all face in our lives.

    ¡buena suerte!

  7. And when i log on into my case status online there is this a message at the verry bottom * Note on "Last Updated" date:

Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email and/or text message notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

  8. Exacly !yes they are...the time is now or never ...whats a waivers? don't know nothing about it...

Actually, one thing I found.. day by day UCIS is getting more strict. If you think you should wait 10 more years then forget about it. After 10 years you may have no chance and now you may have a little. Remember about waivers how easy they were 10 years back? Now getting waivers are next to impossible.

  9. i have 4 or 5 conviction and going on 4 1/2 months after my interview with no answer I'll let you know what happens them!

I came to USA during 1991 as a F1 visa holder and was arrested for a felony (grand theft) for writing a bad check (though I paid back the money to banks even before I was arrested) on 1994(This incident was CMT I confirmed it with UCIS as it was Bank check kiting). The charge was reduced to misdemeanor 1, I had plead guilty and had 28 days jail time with 14 days suspension and paid 250 dollar fine. On 2000 I was arrested for a shop lifting for 50 dollar items. Had finger printed and released. Never went to court, did not have any plea guilty (communicated only with my lawyer). Did 16 hours community service. Case was dismissed and all records were expunged and the arrest was never reported to FBI. On 2002 got my green card based on citizen wife. I disclosed all the incidents and submitted all court papers. On 2004 I was stopped at immigration (airport), was questioned regarding my arrests. They recall my green card application; made sure I disclosed everything with my application and then let me go. On 2005 I traveled overseas again without any incident. On 2012 I renewed my green card.

Now, Is there anyway that I can be naturalized in anytime in my life? The reason is Immigration laws are more political than socio-economic. Today I may be o.k. with green card. But tomorrow there might be a new law which may lead me to notice to appear. I have clean record since I got green card if it matters at all.

  10. i called my senator 2 days ago and they told me there waiting on a date whatever that means ....

I think reverification is just the final step. It only took two weeks for us. We wouldn't have known that reverification was required unless we had involved our senator's office. That's what we heard from them. Hopefully you will hear soon!

  11. send a letter to your senator ....I'm on the same boat it been 4 months me

Had my N400 interview on Oct 4, 2011. Was given N-652 said "USCIS will send you a written decision about your application". After months of inquiry and INFOPASS, finally received a letter on April 25, 2012 that states "According to the system your N-400 has been approved and has now been placed in the re-verification section to be re-verified. You will be notified after a date has been set for the Oat Ceremony". No oat letter yet. Did INFOPASS in June to inquire on the status of the case, officer at the desk said will send an information to the supervisor re-verifying the application. Called the USCIS 800# June ending, was told application is still under review and will receive a decision in 60 days.

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process. It has been 8 mths since interview
