  1. I joined 3 FB gruops for 601 waiver applicants and have seen about 5 Dec. Waivers approved already. One was 12-30-13!!! Mine is 11-22-13 and we are still waiting. I have lots of hope that it will be any day now.

What is your case like? Do you think cases that are Mexican like illegal presence get approved faster? I feel that they do. Mostly Mexican approvals not any other ethnicities.

  2. What is the LIN for? What country? I can't figure it out.

How to read your case number assigned by NVC?

The National Visa Center (NVC) gives each immigrant petition a case number. This number has three letters followed by ten digits (numbers). The three letters are an abbreviation for the overseas embassy or consulate that will process the immigrant visa case (for example, GUZ for Guangzhou, CDJ for Ciudad Juarez).

The digits tell us exactly when NVC created the case. For example a case with the number MNL2001747003 would be a case assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Manila. 2001 is the year in which NVC received the case from the USCIS (formerly INS). The Julian date is 747 plus 500, so this case was created on September 4, 2001, the 247th day of the year. The 003 shows that it was the third case created for Manila on that day. This case number is not the same as the USCIS receipt number, which is written on the Notice of Action, Form I-797, from the USCIS. A consular section abroad cannot find a case if all you have is the USCIS receipt number.

    for example:

    ISL2012746005

    ISL-2012-746-005

    ISL: Islamabad

2012: The year you filed the case

746: (746+500)-1000 = 246 which is 246th day of that year in this case it will be "September 2nd for the year 2012"

005: your case was the fifth case created that day.

  3. Have there been any i601 s filed in November or December of 2013 approved yet??? Just trying to get an idea of where nebraska is at in there work load! There processing times still say Oct 2 and it's a bit frustrating to see that they haven't advanced or updated the page!!!!

Can you link me to where you find that information of processing times? does the USCIS website show that?

Ive seen 5 waivers from Nov. Approved already. Ours is 11-22-13. Still waiting.

Will you link me please to where you see this type of information?

  4. what is the exact process for an Expedite, I have read about what circumstances are in order to expedite for a I-601. We received a letter he is inadmissible on CMIT and we can do a waiver, to the Phoenix lockbox.

Do I send a letter with my waiver package to the lockbox and the letter should state Expedite request?

Do I put on the mailing address expedite request?

Do I email them after I send my waiver to the lockbox?

What is the email address that we can email the request?

  5. how do I obtain details of the charge on the rcmp report?

I got the RCMP reports but it only lists the charge date, charge and the sentence served.

for example it states theft under $5,000: how do we find out the exact details of that charge what the theft was where it was any place to find that?

what if the charge was obstruct peace office because of having no drivers license so basically lied to them, how do we get that detail?

  6. the problem is he was charged and did the community service for it, it didn't show up in the report we are so confused and we also took with us the court proceedings during the interview and for some reason that did not show up =/ maybe they are inaccurate at the RCMP?

we had the fingerprints and all the good stuff done, we waited about 4 months for RCMP to send the reports back. they take their time there.

  7. I have been trying to register for that site for 1 month now and I still don't receive a registration email link. does anyone have any way of getting me registered there so I can get more info and talk to people about the I-601 waiver. I don't know why the website is not allowing me to register I have reached out to them but they just deactivate my account. no clue what is going on. anyone here have any one they know that can get me signed up? very important for me thanks!

  8. 1, Research - www.immigrate2us.net.

    2. Not just a letter it is a package. Think of it as a legal brief or an end of year exam.

    3. Except in exceptional cases it is just a question of putting the package together so it hits all the right buttons.

    4. At least have a consultation with a specialist lawyer, see 1 for info on 'approved' lawyers.

thank you for ur feedback really appreciate it.

I have tried to register for immigrate2us.net but unfortunately they are not responsive. I cannot get a link for registration from them. =/

I understand it hardship letter plus a proof of hardships and also include photos and anything that can show that If I were to move to Canada how it would affect myself.

  9. That seems waiverable, do you intend to use a Lawyer?

no we do not plan to use a lawyer, we have decided to write the hardship letter ourselves since we cannot afford one. we may consider if we feel we are not doing a good job. ($6,000 and up for a lawyer is unaffordable for us unfortunately.)

do you have any suggestions on which route we should go? to prove extreme hardship is so difficult? do you have any experience of knowledge of how the consular decides, do they even consider future hardships? how tough are they? I am so afraid since this is our last chance.
