  1. We applied for 8-2017- Filed for Green Card - USCIS I-751 Petition (Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status ), it is almost a year and no update for us. I travel and now I cannot due to it expiring, what should I do? I checked the website and for some reason I cannot click on another date to find appointments. Please help me out on what the steps necessary.

  2. It's been 6 months and there is no update on if we are approved. How long does it usually take? The message is the same since 8/2017. What should I do?

n August **, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC*******, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by September 10, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

we filed the 751 form to get the card.

  3. I have to file for my husband the I-751, he is a driver as a profession and he got arrested in a different state for license suspension. He got pulled over and since there was a warrant out and he did not pay the fine, he was taken in. He paid the bail and then was released. I have to fill out the form and on the form it states have you ever been arrested and then in parenthesis it states excluding traffic violations, does this qualify as a traffic violation and should i check mark no? Do I need to check mark Yes? Please someone give me guidance on this. This form is extremely crucial and I don't want to mess it up. Thank You!

  4. We finally had our interview in Santa Ana, CA. We were approved for the Green Card. We put together the paperwork that was requested, photos, lease and all but they cared to take some photos and look at the lease. They didn't really ask for much else. The interview was about 25-30 minutes, The lady just asking us the same questions that we submitted for our package. Questions about how we met and where we got married and why we got married. She was a nice lady but a bit firm and serious at the same time. It was easy but very nerve wrecking. Lots of people there so takes time to get your name called. Good lucky to anyone else. We are waiting for the card in the mail.

  5. Now that the visa is issued, he has booked his flight for December. He is Canadian, I want him to work what form do I fill out? Do we have to marry in order for him to work? We plan to get married with family in Feb. What exactly should I file when he lands? also is there anything I can do ahead of time before he comes that will make it easier? We do not want to marry until Feb. Can someone please link me to a complete list of forms to fill and exactly what does what? Also for advance parole do we need to be married? or can this be done before marriage?

  6. WOW, this makes me want to cry. I can't even plan this wedding without knowing a date to set the venue =/ What a horrible thing to go through. please people think hard and long before engaging in a relation outside of US, it's taking a toll on my mental and physical health.

Typically the AP only lasts a day or two.

With Pakistan as a home country, it's not Vancouver holding up the process. I know this sucks given that you are approaching the 3 year mark for this process. From what I understand, they have 12 months to either issue the visa or revoke it. Given the history of your case, I would be prepared to see them continue to drag their feet. Your last bout with AP was 3.5 months, that would be a good estimate.

  7. for the medical:

How long should a person go before the interview?

how long do the results take to come in?

do we need to take any form with us?

we just got dates for this week and feel its close and my fiancé is not able to get time off work to do this since he is working far. Does the embassy allow us to extend the dates if we need more time to schedule the interview, to get from work off?

  8. Embassies generally wait to receive the hard copy of the I-601 approval before sending out an Instruction Letter. The average I've seen from Approval to Visa in hands is of about a month.

    Congrats on your approval!

Thanks, our embassy reached out to us today, we are concerned because we know that the police records take over 3 months to be sent, it also looks like we have to interview again and bring in a whole new K-1 binder like the first time around.

  9. Our consulate reached out to us today. They have asked for some forms and new police certificates and new medical exam results. They say they are expired.

When we filed the waiver our up to date certificates were in that waiver, this was back in December. Can we use those records? or do we have to apply for new ones that take more then 3 months to attain? how long for police certificates to expire?

How long does the medical records take to expire?

We have to complete a new I-134 with supporting documents, we have those from the waiver, can we use those documents?

Thanks your prompt response is appreciated.

Are the DS 160, DS-230 all online applications? do we pay again?

  10. I sent the Vancouver embassy an email right away as I read about the approval. They told me they will send information once they receive the approval from them. So it seems as though the Nebraska Service center approved it but have not got around to sending that approval to the consulate. I would think that would be something that is done instantly but seems like its taking its time to inform the consulate. =/ The longer they take the longer we wait.....
