  1. For interview: wedding album, how do you both communicate, etc etc.

for VFS - right, just submit the fee, and bring the photocopy for passport, marriage license, birthcertificate, etc ( Just in case if they ask ). I doubt if they would need it since all doc are already submitted to NVC.

Ok Thank you..will be submitting everything to VFS tommorow..Rigt now fr the interview as proof of relation I only have my wedding album..We speak on the phone everyday 5-6 times. But I don't know how to take the call logs..What is the communication proof u are gonna show?

  2. I am really confused too as to what we have to submit at VFS. My husband was saying he read on a website that we have to submit all our proofs again at VFS. Is that true? We submitted all our original documents plus pictures and proofs with our I-130 and was just going to take our albums and additional proof to the Interview. So we need to take photocopies of all the documents we submitted earlier and submit it again at VFS with relationship proofs? Is this correct? And also the medical we can submit at VFS, right?

Hope someone can help us figure this out!

you need to submit the photocopies of everything u submitted at NVC..photos not required..you can carry that to the interview..and submitting the medical report at VFS is optional...either submit there or carry it with you to the intervieww.

  4. It's good to be worried enough to talk to talk to the staff at Lilavathi and ensure that doing medical on Feb 6 will be early enough for a Feb 10 interview.

I decided to do a VJ search on Lilavathi to see if there were any recent reviews of Lilavathi and I found the following:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/334409-medical-examination/page__view__findpost__p__4989525

And from the same thread there is a link to a page on ***removed*** reviewing the Lilavati saying that "All reports will be available to the applicants the same evening."

    http://www.***removed***/immigrant-visa/immigrant-visa-medical-examination-lilavati-hospital-mumbai.html

So a Feb 6 medical might not be as worrisome as I might have implied in my last post.

hi there...thank you so much for searching out that piece of info...lil relieved now..called lilavati hospital also and asked them how long does it take for the report to be ready..They said if everything is normal then the same day itself...

  5. It varies based on how much staff they have on hand and the case load is around that time. I don't have any experience with Lilavathi in Mumbai, but here's my experience with Apollo Hospital in New Delhi:

    - Very difficult to even get a hold of the staff for getting general info or setting up appointment over the phone. After incessant calling and talking to the manager I was finally able to get an appointment. They were running very busy and it was difficult to get a timely appointment.

    - Since I had an appointment, the time taken for checkup was fairly short, about 2 hours in which they completed xrays, gave shots and doctor consultation. But it all depends on the amount of patients they have for that day. It could take up to half a day.

    - Report was prepared in 1 week, the reason was that they were very busy.

Assuming Lilvathi is as busy as Apollo in New Delhi (safe assumption as Mumbai has a population of 13 million, and Delhi has a population of 11 million), I think Feb 6 is cutting it very close. If they can't provide you an appointment before Feb 6th, ask them about your chances of getting the medical done on a walk-in basis, in case some appointments don't show up.

On the other hand, Lilavathi might be very fast in generating reports, like Jallandhar - they get you the report on the same day. I am sure there are some peeps here with direct experience with Lilavathi, let's hear their advice/experience.

Thank you....now am getting worried..!! 1 week for the report to be done??!!
