  1. So after calling USCIS today b4 going to my info pass appt 2mrw I decided to call them first and the tier 2 sup advised they sent us an RFE notice yesterday. Of course case status hasn't been updated online but that was a relief at least our case has been acknowledged. Even funnier I think I may know exactly what the RFE is about. When we sent the initial packet they returned more than half of our evidence with a letter stating "the attached document(s) are a format we cannot place in your file folder for review by an officer during the adjudication process" mind you this was returned within a week of receiving the NOA1. So..... At this point, I'm willing to bet that's what the RFE is all about requesting the same dang evidence we initially sent :/

Miss Drew: you may do the honors of updating the sheet <RFE 04/16>

  2. After all the cussing and acting a fool, talking ####### about Obama and Congress this is what I received tonight. God is so good. No RFE!! Thank you.

    Post Decision Activity

On April 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice

Wow! Congrats so happy for you! Hope you're bringing good vibes my way!!! :)

  3. Dear VJ friends,

It has been about 9 months since my husband arrived from Nigeria. I wanted to update you on our relationship status, and remind those who feel that majority of these long distance relationships fail once the beneficiary is here.

It took us almost five years to finally be together. It was a long process, one worth all the wait now that he is here. I speak for both of us when I say, our adjustment to each other has been a very successful one. He has been the most loving, caring and wonderful human being that he was then and continues to be to date. I could not have asked for more loving partner.

It is a myth when people generalize all relationships with red flags as failures. WE are proof of its success and that not every Nigerian is in this VJ just to get here and receive a GC or citizenship in the USA. Commitment and mutual respect has, and continues to be the key to our relationship and marriage. I just want to let others know although there are bad people in this world...good ones do exist. Choose your mate carefully using your head first, then let your heart give away your love. Respect yourself and know your worth and don't settle for anything less than what you deserve and makes you happy.

Best of luck to those who are still waiting for the VJ to end. Blessings!

God truly knew what He was doing when He joined the two of you together. May He continue to bless you both on the years to come. You never forget where it all began, the trials and tribulations... And I thank you for remembering us that may be just at the beginning, middle or end of this journey. Because of you I know there is a happy ending to it all... Btw happy anniversary!!! :)

  4. I know exactly how you feel.. I am in the same situation as you...It's so frustrating especially I've seen October filers getting approved from CSC recently.

I really think USCIS should work on files according to their priority dates...

My husband used to try to calm me down about this whole long wait, but now he is even so stressed out and frustrated...

I hope we both will get approved soon... Let's cross our fingers and pray for a miracle to happen to us next week...

We are the lone rangers, the last of the Mohicans, Los tres amigos! :( I did get a notice on the 7th my ARN # changed, but since then nothing...

  5. Are you the only K-3 active on this thread? I might add a column for K-3 (to see if this has any bearing on time frame)....

I'm also thinking of adding a column with ARN date? I think it might be helpful for others to gauge how soon a decision is made once the number is assigned?

I'm not sure, we're chasing after the cr1 though we just did the k3 when things seemed like they were at a standstill. From what I've read the cr1 is going to cancel out the k3 anyway so not sure if any k3 update info is actually helpful. :/

  6. Thank you! I'm cleaning up the September spreadsheet, as the names I pulled from Igor's list, those members aren't on here and updating their info. I want these numbers to be as accurate as possible :)

FYI "L and L" on Igors list is me. I just noticed that :/ I was always wondering why I couldn't find myself on Igors list. So just FYI as your updating... I'm not very VJ savvy, so uhhh ya. Lol. ;)

  7. wink.png Hey ya never know. I can just imagine them now, caressing and holding onto our files ever so gently, never wishing to part from our magnitude of awesome.

    Behold our beloved USCIS agents:

And the guy who is attempting to run away with our files and money forever, whisking them away to never be parted again:

LMBO you get the award for "funny of the day". Really puts me at ease when we can all find humor in this debacle! ;)

  8. Hey there September,

Just got off the phone with tier 2, and I was transferred to CSC! PD Sept 3, Feb 24 transfer. Bdrew, first off, thank you for doing such a great job with the spreadsheet. Would you please update the service center for me?

Wanted to say to those transferred to NSC that I wish you all the very best of luck. USCIS is known for being unpredictable, so I hope that means with NSC we'll see a huge turnaround with their slow processing.

Can't wait to see the rest of September transferred. Especially that missing week!

ESPECIALLY THE MISSING WEEK :'( USCIS strikes again! Lol. Really sucks but what are we gonna do? been waiting all this time what's a few more days hopefully, right?!? Trying to appease my own self :) why o why did they just omit my entire week!!! Uggghhhhh! Ok I'm done, feel better now :) I truly am laughing though bcuz they never cease to amaze me thus far...
  9. No worries! What I did was call and say "I'm really cofused, I got a notice my petition was transferred. Then I t 2 more e-mails saying my case was transferred to a local office. Where did my case go?" Then the agent will read what's on the screen, then I said "Does this ean my case went to my LOCAL office in St. Paul (I'm calling from Minneapolis, that's the closest local office)? I've never heard of I-130s going there?" Then the agent will ask if you've received anything in writing, I said "No, I'm worried something's wrong. Can I speak with a Tier 2 or someone that can tell me where my petition actually went?" Boom, transfer call! :)

That's hilarious! Only in the circumstance of dealing with the wonderful USCIS can playing "duh" be in our favor. I'll keep that in mind when our time comes. LMBO :)
