It cost my husband 30 thousand riyal. Including the two other hospital he had to go for other things the doctor ordered. After they finished the doctor told him to come and pick up the packet tomorrow. Inshallah will keep y'all updated and please pray for us. Inshallah will be prayingn for all of you . I don't want anyone going through this process. Which sucks but that's the price of getting in america.

hk9302010 reacted to canada_socks in Typo in DS-260, case with consulate already
I made a couple of typos that I was shocked to find at the interview. The girl who went over it all with me just changed it. I put our wedding date as Oct 2012 when it is 2011. I also didn't check off a box that stated I had a fiance in the US (something like that). Not sure HOW I made those as I KNOW I double and triple checked it.

hk9302010 reacted to Kimchimex in is there anyway to correct mistakes on already submitted ds260??
nope...you can not fix mistakes...but when we called for interview we told the girl we had wrong expiration dates on the passport info of one child...she said to tell them at the interview to please correct it since no one is able to get into the system & make changes

So he went to his appointment today at the scheduled time. He saw the same woman who interviewed him and she told him everything is looks good and took his passport and said that the visa would be issued in 2 - 3 days! So, hopefully 2 - 3 days doesn't mean 2 - 3 weeks in Embassy time! LOL Just relieved and happy to hear that we are almost at the end of dealing with this process!
Good luck to all in their upcoming appointments.. you will all be in my prayers!

My fiancé had his appointment with the embassy today. He arrived before his scheduled time and waited for 3 hours only to be told he was not on the appointment list! He wasn't the only person told this! They are so very disorganized.... He wrote them an email when he got back home and they called him and apologized for the inconvenience and told him to come back at 10am tomorrow. Hope they have everything straightened out now and he will be on the list.... Can't wait to be done with this process!

Thx ladies. Will keep you all posted insha'Allah. All I'm praying is that we don't get AP. I don't think I can handle that. I'm just about ready to get the hell outta this country and start my life with my husband in America. Insha'Allah soon, for all of us.

Hi all,
Good news, my fiancé finally got a call to come to the Embassy after being on AP since June. His appointment is on October 21st. Hoping that they will issue his visa on that day because we have been waiting so long! Finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel....
Congrats to all those that finally got their appointments!!

*I am telling you this based on experience, my wife had her visa interview back on May 2013, they put her on AP, then they called her on September to bring in all documents and gave her a pick up visa on November, it's about 6 weeks long between the drop off of the documents and visa pick up day. When I checked the DOS website it was shown that the case still under AP but the date of last update was changed to the same date she was in the embassy, it stayed couple days then it changed to 'issued' . But I just want to let everyone knows that I know one person(guy) that the embassy gave him a pick up visa appointment and when he went to the embassy to pick up his visa they told him we will call u again even though the DOS website shows that his visa was issued . Bottom line don't make any plans unless u have the visa on ur hands

They asked her what city I live in. They asked about where I went to school. Also they asked about when we met and where. They asked about our children they said who is their father and obviously she said I am. It was a very quick short interview. She brought all the papers she sent to the NVC and she brought a bunch of pictures of us throughout our relationship. And she brought hospital records of our twin boys with both of our names on it. She also brought two 5x5 passport photos. Affidavit of paternity/maternity and residence is also required she brought that too.

My wife was approved for a visa. She also tried to file a Cobsular Report of a Birth Abroad for my boys, but idk they didn't take the applications from her they just looked at then and copied them and gave them back. She spoke to someone on the American Citizens Sercices Section as well regarding the CRBA they said your twins are American Citizens based on their father's citizenship.
Her visa pickup date is November 25th, almost 2 months! Why do you guys think that is? Is that normal? How long does it take to get a visa stamp after an approved interview?

My husband got his medical done on Sunday morning. He went to Dr.Abbas Almutwakil. They took blood samples and gave him a few vaccinations. Then they sent him to another clinic to get an X-ray done and he was required to bring it back to Dr. Almutwakil. Then he gave my husband the sealed medical envelop and told him to take it with us to the interview. It costs 23k rial not including the X-ray cost but I think my husband said the X-ray cost a couple thousand.

They said that this doctor is the best. My husband is gonna go to that doctor. Every one that I know recommended the doctor that's in taiz street. He will give you the letter probably the next day. It doesn't take long. All she gotta do is to make sure to notify the doctor that this is urgent and she has an app in three days. And make sure she bring the letter app with her. Bc they won't let her do it unless she has a. Letter of the date of her app.
