  1. Well I am a little different because I am a K1. My fiance is Yemeni so the process is different. Our NOA2 was in october 2013 and then we were sent a letter to my home in the US with the appointment date in March. The appointment date they gave us was March 19 and we got the notice letter March 23. So we couldn't make it because the date had already passed. Since then we wrote and let them know but we have not gotten another date. Just such a shame especially because we had written the embasssy and that week of March 19 they had told us we did not have an appointment via email..

Just a note they actually postmarked the letter after the proposed date it wasn't that the mail was slow.

    That's just ridiculous!

Keep calling the NVC for an update on a appointment & make sure that the have your best email on file so they can keep in contact with you, keep emailing the consul, and keep checking your case file online to see when was it last touched.

    Your all in prayers!

    -Remember patience it will come

  2. salaam everyone,

is it true that United States citizens that are traveling to yemen must obtain a visa? I am planning on visiting my husband soon, if anyone knows about this please help ASAP

Yes it is required if u are born in the US. The visa is sent to you free if you have proof of Yemeni backround from your parents or spouse.

Here's the visa website information :

    http://www.yemenembassy.org/consulate/index.htm

    Phone: (202) 965-4760

  3. MY wife visa status changed to AP YESTERDAY it was before issued , but my daughter still issued how long the PA takes

I think you should give it a week then email them at least 3 times at once, so they can SEE your message.

Make sure you put your BEST yemen phone number you can be reached by on the subject line of the email.

Also but your wife's case number on the subject line as well.

Keep checking online to see each time they have touched her file.

Don't worry, it will all be worth it in the end inshallah khair

  4. This embassy drives me crazy my wit went to pick up her visa .they interviewed her again and they asked her too many questions about may step father and step brothers she answered them ,then they told her it is going to take administrative processing :ranting:

she had the first interview last month the told her once her visa ready the will call her

i don't know why they had to interview her tow times.is there anyone happened to him like that ?

    any advice please

also we have done the DAN TEST when the uscis office wanted the DNA

Do they still have her passport? If they do that's good.

Some APs go by fast, give it another some weeks the most a month inshallah they will call her.

You and everyone are in my prayers!

  5. My fienci had an interview but when she got to the embassy l. The embassy sadly was shut down. And they did not allow no one to enter because they were doing maintainace. They canceled all the appointments. My question is i tried to make a nether appointnent on libe but it whont let me. So when the Embassy open would they give me a different appointment. Do i have to wait a long wait like i did on my canceled appointment or would they give me the earliest appointment. Im confused and im very sad please help

The best thing you can do is email them:

    IVSanaa@state.gov

Put your case # on the subject line of email.

Tell them that you are waiting for a rescheduled interview

  6. My husband got a biometrics interview letter a week ago. We went in today and they took his fingerprints. It says on the letter that it's needed to finish the processing of his application. We've been here for 2 months and still no green card =/

Has anyone gotten a request for biometrics in order to get a green card?

Salaam, how are u? hope all is well inshallah. I got my spouses green card 2 weeks ago.

What's the biometrics interview for? Did your spouse get his social yet?

Try calling the USCIS about the green card here's the number: 1-800-375-5283

  7. hk9302010 how long did u have to wait for your husbands appointment I've been waiting for 6 months

My case was complete in Dec. 2012 and I didn't get an interview till Sep. 3 2013 (took 9 months and a week)

Then they closed the consul causing everyone's interview dates to be cancelled. After a bunch of emails they rescheduled mine till 11/2013.

So your looking about the guessing estimated wait time is 9 to 11 month wait.

That's just a guess everyone's case is different some people get lucky maybe earlier.

  8. Ok that's great the took your families passports.

Due to their usual backlog it takes at least 1 to 2 and a half months the most from your interview to have visas ready.

And for the CEAC site keep checking each time they touch your families file the date changes.

So don't worry about anything all you have to do is wait and you will get a phone call inshallah

    Your all in my prayers!

first i thank you very much

yes took their passports and gave them paper says will contact you

    within a month

on CEAC website my daughter case the last update was on march 17th

my wife case was on march 21st

  9. Hi my husband and two children had their visa interveiw on 5/19/2013 everything went fine but they were put on Administrative Processing. My congressman and senator and I have been sending emails for 10 months and they always say they are still on AP but now I received an email saying that a consular officer has reveiwed their cases and they are waiting for a appointment date to be free so they can give us instructions on what to do next. I'm hoping that my husband will get a call soon to drop off his and the kids passports so we can be done with this journey already. Insha'allah he will get a call soon and everyone here will get good news soon.

How many times was your case file touched since your interview? keep track of that

Check the CEAC site on the status update date to see when is the last time your they touched your file.

You and everyone still waiting are in my prayers!

  10. Hi, 1st congrats on your families visa approval!!

My questions is what did it say paper they gave her?

Did they give her a white paper with a visa pickup date on it?

Did they keep your families passports?

On the CEAC website what is your status update date?

    assalamu alaikum

    i have question

my wife and my daughter had their interview on march the 16th, they approved their visas alhmudllah.

embassy, but no reply . my wife and daughter cases were expedited cuz my son's health who is us citizen.

he was born with congential septal defect in his heart .i do not know what to do?

    anyone have any idea

    jazakallah khair

  11. This can be problematic though. Yes, English is the predominant language in the US. But English proficiency is not required to get a visa, at all. This is likely a challenging, intricate consulate, and some information might be lost in translation to English for the beneficiaries. Rules are rules, and are in place for good reason, but at the same time the website is supposed to help people who need assistance with a difficult process. The thread is long, and has been viewed a lot. Obviously those participating are committed to it. It seems unfortunate at the same time to possibly leave someone out who needs help from this thread because their English isn't great.

    ^^^You said it right :)

    Bless you, Thanks!

  12. Hey guys i really need help so im waiting on a call from the Embassy to drop off my husbands passport but we recently changed apartments and now we have a new telephone number how do i change our number we gave to the embassy at his interview appointment over two months ago? Any and all help is appreciated!

While your waiting for an appointment, email them your phone number on the side and then when u get your drop off appointment give the interviewer your phone number.

Make sure you email them atleast 3 times at once that way they see your message. when u email them to put your case number and your new phone number on the subject line of the email.

    You can reach them at:

    IVSanaa@state.gov

    Keep us updated!!

    Good luck!
