  1. My local office is Milwaukee, WI. There's not a lot of people on here who have gone there. Knowing that I didn't get a RFE makes it even worst....

Yea not many people filed near that office at all. However the trend I saw was around the 80-100 day mark for interview notices from the NOA1 date. So assuming you don't get an RFE I would guess around then. I mean you could always call but I doubt that will get you anywhere sadly. I am unsure if you can complain around the 90 day mark. I thought you could but I can't find anything backing that up. However who knows you could get it sooner you never know.

On a side note I think I have given up on that silly EAD card. I don't think I'll get approved before my interview. :( .

  2. 52 days since they received my package. Still no EAD or Interview notice...This wait is soooo depressing...Hope June filers will hear good news this month..fingers crossed!!!

Hm what's your local office? If you know that you can look at previous months filers and get a rough idea. That being said it looks like most people get their notices around the 40 days-60 days mark. Though I've seen some get it later then that.

  3. But I dont WANT the interview notice! *stomps feet* I want my EAD!

I wanted my EAD first as well. However I'll probably get it right before the interview or right after with the green card knowing my luck. :/

Yup I think the same... Los Angeles office seems slow compared to others

I believe biometrics is similar as well except depends on the fingerprinting place near you. The dates on the spreadsheet are all over the place it's the only thing that makes sense. :P

  4. Just sent in my signed acceptance of a new job. Just can't start until I have my EAD. Thinking of trying to expedite, now that I have an actual offer letter in hand. Thoughts?

I say try to expedite it never hurts to try. Worse thing they can do is say no to expediting it.

AP is no longer a "Departure" so it would not give her a ban read Matter of Arrabally and Yerrabelly

Interesting. I wasn't sure if that had gone through or what. Thanks for pointing that out to me. :)

  5. hey everybody, has anyone got there EAD/AP already? I just got my biometrics done yesterday, now i cant wait for my EAD/AP to be in my hands... Ive been getting calls for a job interview but unfortunately i cant go cos of not having my work permit. And also husband and I were planning to go to UK to visit some of my family... I just dont know if i can use an AP to travel to London, i wonder if they can give me a tourist visa as i dont have a GC yet...

It seems to vary how soon you get your EAD/AP card. I've seen 2 weeks, 3 months, and everything in between. I know you can expedite your EAD card if you have a job offer in writing usually. You should be able to travel to London with AP. Assuming you are not out of status since leaving USA before the green card would get you a ban. I honestly don't know about applying for a tourist visa while waiting for the green card. I doubt they let you though if I had to guess. I know it sucks but your best option would probably be just to wait.

  6. I'm on the same boat as Freely, no EAD/AP, got an email this afternoon. My interview is on august 30th! Hooray! I am so happy and excited!

I'm in the same boat as well. From what I have read you'll either get it a couple days before the interview or after. Congrats on getting your interview notice!

Got an email yesterday that my I 130 was transfer to another office.

Is this good or bad news??

Do you know what office it got transfered to?

  7. Well received my interview notice today. It's on my birthday so I guess I get to celebrate with the IO! -_-

I still have heard nothing back about my EAD card at all. Be sad if I get the greencard before that.

Timeline wise I had my biometrics done July 11 and I did not do a walk in. My interview notice is dated July 19th as the date they sent it out and just got it today.

BTW, is there any benefit of doing a walk-in Biometrics? I have an Aug. 3rd appointment and a bunch of time on my hands...

It depends I think. Sometimes it speeds up getting your EAD card but not always. It doesn't hurt to do it early.

  8. I guess after doing biometrics, all we can do is just wait until we receive a notice for interview.. Which, from looking at the April forum, seems to be a month after biometrics. Here I come to play the waiting game!!!

I don't think I'm that good at it. I would like to work too! I feel like my days are wasting away not doing anything concrete.. I hope I receive my EAD card soon. Is anyone applying for EAD and AP too?

Ya from what I heard is after biometrics the real waiting starts. Your interview can depend on just how long it takes to process your case, how swamped your local office is as well. Usually a month but I've seen it take longer.

I applied for EAD as well. I know you generally get it soonish after biometrics. After 90 days you can complain about not having it.

  9. nice that you got your NOA's and thank you for replying to all my questions.

    Thank you for your reply.

No problem! Wish I could be more helpful. I am been living and breathing immigration stuff lately but I don't think the learning aspect stops ever.

Its funny that the past 11 days since submitted my aos have felt like yrs... Lol

I haven't been waiting 11 days but I know the feeling.

  10. Got my hard copies of my NOA's. :D

Update on Boston Biometrics walk-in: SUCCESS!!!

Grats on being able to do the walk in!

I had posted this as a new thread but it looks like no one reads that part of the forum.

Welcome! Yea there's a June 2012 thread but it's empty. So I came here. :P

will the process be slower since there was a missing middle name and had to be corrected?

I doubt it will. Adding/correctly a name seems so minor to me.

I already have a work permit trough TPS and it expires in September 2013 so I did not file for one on my application. Will this speed up the process of my application since I already have a current EAD til 2013?

by the way every time I renew my TPS I don't re-do my finger prints and biometrics. do you think that it might no need to re-do them for this application as well?

I don't think needing/not needing an EAD really changes the process too much from what I've seen. However who knows with immigration?

You might need to get biometrics done anyways but again not entirely sure.

  11. Apparently my packet has been delivered yesterday at 1.34pm! It wasn't updated on the track & confirm until today. It feels good to know it's there. Can't wait to hear more updates!!!!

Yay, That is great news. :)

That's good news....I typed the letters USPS like a mil times already since yesterday...lol

lol I'm sure we all did a little bit of that.

I had 4 applications in there.

I didn't do the ap. Could be a lot of reasons on size difference. Like how it was packaged and such.

  12. Yeah.. I wasn't sure if PO Boxes would confirm delivery.. so to be sure I opted for the address one, but still through USPS, it's cheaper. Though 30 bucks isn't that cheap. Yuck.. Imagine how much the couriers charge! Daylight robbery! Haha!

When I sent my package they gave me 3 options $6, $12, & $30. I chose the $12 option and they told me it would be there by tomorrow at the end of the day. The package got there 9:30 in the morning the next day. Maybe I got lucky who knows. ¯\(o_º)/¯

Yea my husband and I wanted to be able to track it so I didn't choose the po box option.

  13. I received my e-mail notification today. \o/

Let the wait begin...I am anxious yet excited its in the mail...

I completely understand that and welcome :)

I tracked my envelope, it's in Chicago, and it says that they attempted to deliver it but there were no authorized recipient, and that a notice was left there for them to pick it up. So I went to the post office to ask what that supposed to mean and she told me that it is in their PO box and that an immigration person will pick it up on Monday or somebody already picked it up but their scanner is down so I haven't been noticed. That's a little disappointing, I paid for the extra service to be sure that they have it today, and they won't before Monday. And I hope she was right when she said they put it in the USCIS box...

Which address did you use? There's the po box and the one for courier services.
