  1. Thank you I really need it... Going by LA Local Office I hope I get something around this week and next week... Either way I made an infopass for this Monday the 10TH to see if they have any other updates...

Well I'm hoping you hear something soon. :)

    EAD Card mailed...I'm so excited!

    Congrats!

hello everyone, on aug. 27 i got my ead, and today i just got home from getting my ssn, everything went fine... i hope my aos interview will go smoothly as my ead, ap, and ssn.. im so nervous everyday knowing my interview is 1 week away... may god help me and everyone going thru this interview, im still having problem with the proof of relationship that i have to show on interview :crying::crying::crying:, i think im gonna get crazy anytime!!! just to update u guys, im always on this forum reading your posts but im just too lazy to type some words...:P

Your going to do fine. Just relax. The interview is so close your probably going crazy but try not to let the stress and nerves get to you. :)

I didn't show a lot at my interview just some bank statements, life insurance policy, and some photos. What do you have for the interview?

Mine is Monday sis...I have faith that everything will be fine for both of us this coming week :)

Yours is coming so soon. Do you have everything altogether or still making sure you have everything? :)

  2. Congrats Selah for your GC..yaaayyy you can relax now and free from USCIS for 1yr and 9 mos

    Enjoy being Greened

Thanks! I'm looking forward to a little bit of a break.

Hmmmm I'm still not getting any USCIS e-mails or text message alerts. I just can't figure out why. I have the account created with a legitimate e-mail address and cell phone number. I got the account verification e-mail just fine. Sigh...I guess I'll have to call the USCIS to check why this is happening.

I notice that as well. I think I stop getting emails about it on the 28th of August. I've seen a few others with this issue as well. I'm not sure if their system is wonky or what.

I think is somehow normal.. I haven't seen any changes either.... I have called many times for that... and all they do is read the script.... I guess we just gotta be patient til they decide to update it....

I am so tired of the wait.... :crying:

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Isa! Hoping you hear something this month. :)

  3. Haha..too funny... :) :) :)

    Ya he's such a comedian. :P

    Hello Guys!

Congrats to all who have been approved for GC lately. My husband and I wish to experience the same in the near future. Just like what I've been reading here, I, who's the USC, am the one more nervous and my husband is very calm about all this. His patience is just astounding and mine is blah.

Anyway, I just have one quick question. Last August 29th, we received a notification via text that my husband's case status for his I-765 application has been updated and when we checked it online (via uscis.gov site), the status did change to card production but we haven't received any follow-up email or so about it. Is this something common? When does the EAD card usually arrive after card production notice?

I am just wondering because my husband has a friend who can refer him to his company and they want to know when my husband will have his SSN so he can start working.

Any comments is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Usually takes 7-10 days to get to you. You will also get a few card production notices as well. So don't panic if you get more then one card production notice.

  4. yeah I have to be positive if this is for me then this is for me :)

    Thanks Selah (F)

Try not to stress yourself out about it. Which I know is really difficult but it will all be worth it in the end. I know afterwards I was like why did I put myself through all this stress when everything went fine again?

I just hate it that my husband is not even worried about the interview while I'm so stress out

always tell me that I'm freaking him out for worrying too much lol :bonk:

My husband was exactly the same. Constantly told me to not stress myself out and that everything would be fine. At times I did think he was not taking this seriously at all. However in the end everything went ok and he was right.

Received my green card today. Went a lot faster then the EAD in the card production stage. My husband was all 'what are you going to do now? You'll have to find a new hobby.' What a joker.

  5. Thank you and Congrats on your approval...

    Thanks! :)

    We were interviewed individually.

Congrats on getting approved! I always thought everyone was interviewed together. Kind of interesting you were interviewed individually.

Hi all! I just wanted to update here, too. My husband and I had our interview yesterday and we were APPROVED!

    Congrats!

MrsGore, Newbie, Marishka608 & Selah - congrats on EADs to all and congrats on interview to Selah!!!

    Thanks! :)

Hurray!!!!!! Received combo EAD and AP card in the mail!!!! Did not have any prior notices/notifications so was a surprise. Best of contininuing luck to all here!!

Congrats! No notices at all? Just randomly was sitting there in the mailbox? O_o

I read your interview description, hope mine goes as smooth as yours did!! the people at USCIS Boston sure seem a lot more professional than in Detroit

Detroit is not that bad.

  6. Up to 74 now

You can call but they will probably give you the 90 days #######. :(

No interview and no notification at all since the past 2 months....

I just called USCIS and was transferred with the rudest Hispanic male whom accent was so strong that was hard to understand... I asked the question twice and he said "I already told you" "you are contradicting yourself", just because I just called for an update. I told him there was no need to be rude and he said "Give us a call in 3 months" and he just hung up....

Now I'm afraid he will hurt my application in some way... (Is this possible?)

He told me they are checking my background since 6/10 when they ran my biometrics....

How rude of him. Nothing you can really do though. I mean you could call again and hope you get someone different but either way you have to keep waiting. Hang in there Isa30 hopefully you hear something soon. :)

For some reason I haven't got any texts or e-mails about my card production or updates to my case status on the I765 or I131.

I've signed up for the USCIS account and created a portfolio. Turned on e-mail alert and text alert for all cases. Still no texts or e-mails.

I think the email system is acting wonky the last couple days personally. :P

  7. Congrats Angeltots! Can't wait to hear the full report. :D

WOAH EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!

Sorry for being so grumpy. BTW, I'm living proof that guys are just as neurotic about this as women.

Congrats! I think the process makes everyone a little cranky honestly.

I can't believe you guys are getting your EADs so quickly. Now I've gone from anxious to angry. I have my new employer asking me constantly when I can start...

How close are you to the 90 day mark? You must be coming close to it by now. :/

  8. Anyone have an Idea? or opinion?

You could apply for it but I'm not sure if you would get it in time for your trip. :/

WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I CANNOT FIND THE HARD COPY OF THE INTERVIEW LETTER!!!!!!! Can we go to the interview without it????? AUGHHHHHH

No you can't go to the interview without it. It's got to be somewhere in your house, just keep looking I'm sure you will find it! Sending you good vibes as well. :)

  9. Hello all, been a while since I've been here as things are going smoothly so far with our immigration. We went and did our biometrics in Detroit and it went good. Next up is our interview which is September 18th. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time.

I did have a couple questions. On the interview notice it says we need: "All documents establishing your eligibility for LPR status"

I'm not really sure what that means. Can anyone shed some light on that one for me?

I also noticed that it said we need an original or certified copy of our marriage certificate. We provided them with this when we submitted our paperwork with our application. Do we need to get another certified copy of this or will they still have the one we submitted on file?

I guess for now that's it. Everything appears to be in order.

I recently had my interview in Detroit. Generally I think that has to do with did you enter legally in the USA and such. I-90 and such. I did not have an I-90 (don't usually give them to Canada citizens) and I was fine. I brought a certified copy of my marriage certificate however they never asked to see it. I suppose they just used the copy we sent them in the package.

I brought everything I had immigration wise in a binder. Just in case they asked for it but in reality we did not have to show too much.

  10. i guess our definition of approval is different. For me, its either a stamp in the passport or the card production ordered. Until I have either of those, I don't consider the application approved. But whatever, if you feel better thinking its approved then by all means do so... this process sucks, so the more positive the better, I guess.

Just trying to stay positive here. It's in decision now so just waiting for it to flip over to card production. I'm just happy to be able to take a little break from the process for a bit. :)

Yay!!!! Congrats!!!! I'm so happy for you... Go relax now...

Thanks! Yea some relaxing is going to be happening. :D

    Wow CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Great news! lets keep the positive vibes for all the interviews in the next couple of weeks!!!

Thanks! I'm sure everyone will be getting some good news soon. :)

    Hi everyone,

I married my wife who is US citizen, and we filed our AOS on May29th. I still haven't got any scheduled interview letter yet. Many people, who filed their AOS around same time as I did, seemed to have interview notice or get it done already. Is it normal to take this long? We live in LA and our case is being processed at National Benefit Center (MSC). By the way, I got my EAD and AP card on May 13.

LA seems like one of the local offices that takes the longest for getting interviews. Have you been looking at timelines of other filers that share your local office or just filers in general? The local office does play a part. Perhaps try calling them up seeing where they are? Your about at the 90 day mark now I would think. You should be hearing something soon I imagine.

  11. Omg I didn't even remember about your interview today Selah....Congrats on finally being done with that:) That sounds like an approval to me though...

Ha ha yup it was my day today. It certainly felt like it was approval for sure.

Unless they stamped your passport with the I-551 stamp, then no - that is not approval.

My thoughts exactly. I don't see them give out the stamp much anymore these days.

there you go been waiting for you all day coz i know its your interview today:-)

congrats to you..can you post what are the questions???

Thanks! We were asked the following questions:

    • How we met
    • When we met in person
    • Beneficiary's parents first names
    • Confirm all the information on I-130 & I-485 forms

The interview was really short my father-in-law was surprised to see us so soon in the waiting room. :)

I thought they don't stamp passport no more???

I thought the same thing too. Though I've seen a handful of people receive them. I think it's just fairly rare.

I received an email update around 7ish saying

"On August 27, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

That sounds like approval to me!

  12. This had better be my week. Or I'm going to snap.

I have two weeks left on the gig I'm on right now, and then I have a week off (for my GC interview). Getting my EAD this week would be PERFECT TIMING, because this client would then be my last.

    GET ON IT, USCIS! :bonk:

Crossing my fingers for you as well!

Had my interview today and went extremely well. Probably was not worth the stress I put myself through. The interview was less then 15 minutes.

Was told at the end they need to do final background check but however to expect the GC within 2 weeks and the IO explained the removing conditions process. I'm kind of confused if that is approval on the spot or what. My husband thinks so though.

I also got my SSN today in the mail. I applied on the 21st so a little less then a week to get to me. :)
