The PD cut off dates are either 1,8,15 or 22. We have one person with PD 19th Nov got the interview so the next cut off date would be 22NOV2010.

Most of the people here get easily confused between PD and NVC case number. They are totally different. What you see here is the NVC case numbers and not anyone's PD. It could be possible that some people with VSC got the approval recently so their NVC case number has 2012...Again, this is not PD.

Who says that you would loose your money if the retrogression happens? Once your case is complete it does not matter. Also, it's clearly written on the NVC site that if a year has been passed without any communication with NVC then you may have to pay the fees again and that I believe only if your case is not complete. As long as you are in touch with NVC within a year you don't need to worry about this. Anyways, good luck with your visa.

Yes, I'm in the agreement with you. We all should be happy that it's moving forward..some people will complain no matter how far the PD is moved forward..The last bulletin mentioned clearly that the next bulletins will move ONLY UP TO 4-6 weeks and it has moved to 4 weeks so far...Max 6 weeks and min 4 weeks.

The VB will be published whenever they want to. There is nothing like that our refreshing will affect their performance. Also, Columbus day is not a major holiday in USA so should not affect its release. Just calm down.

Folks, it's okay to take out your frustrations but with due respect to everyone. Everyone is feeling the same pain but some will express it more and others can't express. Instead of cribbing and blaming nvc 100%, you can leave America for time being and spend some good time with your family.. You can do, right? Otherwise, apply for spouse's visitor's visa..
Honestly, we tried and we are successful. My spouse is in USA on a tourist visa and this is her 2nd entry and each time she got 6 months stay. You never know what is stored for you unless and until you try. As you know, there is no rule that your spouse can't get visitor's visa while his/her green-card is pending. It's kind of difficult but not impossible. I myself got student visa a few years back with my I-130 approved. If there is a will then there is always a way. Keep trying different options. Only thing don't loose hope.
When you apply for a tourist visa, be honest and tell the real picture. Don't lie because they know everything. Try for student visa or H1B instead.

You are totally wrong. If the VB cut off date is 08May2010 then only people with PD earlier than this can only get interview letter not even the person with PD of 08May..It's not that your consulate has some interview slots available then then can take someone with PD after the cut off date. Otherwise what's the point of publishing visa bulletin with the cut off dates. It's common sense.
Simple rule is that DO NOT TRUST Spanish/Vietnamese forums..

You can't blame NVC or DOS. We all know before getting married to non-US citizen or someone who is not in the US about the wait period and PD movement. We can't blame NVC for our decisions when they were very clear from the beginning that it would take few years. I know their processing time sucks but why should they need to care about our feelings. Rules are rules and you can't bring emotions and feeling into them. Instead of blaming them we should blame ourselves for not marrying to US citizen or someone who is already in the US on H1B or F1 visa? Can we do that? No, right. Then, we can't blame them. Just accept the reality..

I think interviews are system generated once the individual is placed on the documentary qualified list and awaiting for the visa numbers. I do not buy in that the NVC was closed today due the storm so we did not get any interviews. Once the consulate has open slots for interviews, people in the list will automatically get notification.
Anyways, next week the bulletin is coming so we all will come to know if it is really moving ahead or not..I feel pity for those who PD is in 2009 and 2010 as they were all current in 2010. If you have speed up your paper work at that time then you guys would have got it in 2010 itself..
Always ready with the paper work as you never know when it's gonna jump forward so do not delay in sending your fees and paper work. The money is not that important compared to staying away from your family. It's just $88+ $400..Not a big deal..
My wife's PD in Feb 2011 but I'm all ready with my I-864 and DS-230 forms. As soon as I get the NVC email, I will send them..I'm lucky that my wife got 10 yrs multiple entry tourist visa and she is in the US with me but nothing is better than having her on gc...

The US is the only country in the world where green-card holders' spouse has to wait for such a long time. It's our spouse, damn it..If you can bring yr spouse on H4 and F2 then why not on green-card? Some of the laws here do not make any sense to me..Shouldn't we need to have more privileges than H1B and F1 people?

The visa cut off dates are only 1,8,15 and 22 of any month. If someone with PD with July 15 09 got the interview letter (yes, in our forum) then the next possible visa cut off would be 22 Jul 09 not 15jul09..The cut off date means any person prior to that date are eligible for the visa interview..
