    He also left behind a 2 year baby girl who he hasn't seen in person since then. She's been in California with her mom all this time.

    In our case:

    My husband is a British citizen who lived in the USA with his parents from the age of 6 to around 19-20. He was deported from the USA in 1996 after being arrested for possession of his friend's methamphetamine. He spent 30 days in county jail, then he spent time in an immigrant detention center while they were getting his travel docs.

    Feeling aboslutely terrible that I was unable to attend the I-130 Interview today. After this, I guess I better brace myself for the official denial letter in the post =(

      I have no place to stay in the USA and could not afford airfare to get back to California for the I-130 interview, so I explained in writing that it would be an extreme hardship. Several months later, our petition was approved. Not much more I can say really =)

      That would've been very hard to do, since he lives in England and I would've been in California!

    Just read a recent post you wrote to the lady being abused by her Algerian husband. You are my hero of the day! Well said! I was thinking on about page 2 or 3 that I should just print out her posts and mail them to the California Service Center.

    Small world! I think I only support the Rovers out of obligation since I live in their town, but my husband's team is Man-U so naturally, I'm Man-U as well.

    My hubby works at a working men's club close to where the Rovers play home games so if your bro ever needs a place to grab a pint after a game, he should pop in =)

      i opened a case for this with severe financial loss but got rejected letter a week after. I'm also August 2011 K3 applicant.

    I noticed in your signature that you met your love in school .. elementary school? I also first met my husband when we were 10 years old in the 5th grade. Did you have to obtain transcripts from school?
