    ----------------------------

    Decision

On July 31, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status.

Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

    -----------------------------

    Hope this is true.

Good luck to those who is waiting, you will get it soon.

    Thanks,

    Dr. KunaL

    Well... Congratulations!!!

Hi everyone! I've been watching this forum for some time - as I submitted my AOS in mid September last year. On August 1st I got a text message and e-mail stating my case has now moved to card production! So that is me approved. However, a small scare - a couple of hours later I got some more notifications that put the case back to the "decision" status.... but then yesterday I got some fresh notifications putting it back to the card production stage. So there we have it. All good now. Just over 10 months of waiting..... quite terrible at times - feeling insecure and worrying when it will finally go through. Now it is done. No interview by the way. Was tempted to schedule an info pass to see if I could get things moving, but now I dont need to!

For all of you September filers who are still waiting - it really does look like they are getting stuck into them now - so I really hope you get yours approved very, very soon! Fingers crossed for you all as I know how bad the wait is.

I just joined visa journey right now to share with you all. Thank you for your posts. Good luck to you all.

Don't worry. Lots of bouncing around. I received that I was approved on Friday and GC went into production, but then on Monday, I received another that GC went into production. So in a few days you should bet your GC.

  2. Hey,

    Ryan76

2 year Green Card is because of "ALL" the fraud that goes on in getting a "Green Card". You will have to prove your marriage is "Legit". I talked the other day with a DHS USCIS employee and after talking a bit, he gave me an insight behind this... He says that they get a whole bunch of crazy cases... women, unfortunately, marrying "ax" murderers... get the point... or marrying, sorry to say, not trying to point fingers, but this is his own words, “lots of women get into marriages just for the Green Card!” I also said that there are stories out there that people are paying $10,000 for marriage and a Green Card. He said to me, in reality, people are paying $40,000 or more. Imagine that! So to weed out the no-good people, USCIS has instituted the 2 year Green Card. You can read here, in VisaJourney, lots of cases about divorce after the Green Card. But some are true, because there are lots of bad US citizen spouses out there... Abusive! But some good folks are taken advantage in a divorce, especially if the person wants just the Green Card! So if you are still in good standing after 2 years, you can remove conditions. I would like USCIS to change it to 3 years or 4 years to apply for removal of conditions.

  3. I just came back from my local Hialeah, Florida immigration office (infopass) , they are so Slow and they are unable to find my file ( i hope they didn't LOST it ), after waiting 1 hours lady called me and goes that your file is in our officae we got it on june-15-2013 and hopefully you will get any information or interview lwtter in two weeks after waiting 10 months and 2 weeks ( thats stupid). So i have to wait twoo week to make sure that they find my file and after that i will have interview. There officers are not working on friday. i dont understand why immigration officaer do not work on friday.? so my field office work only 4 days a week and friday till sundau they have holidays.? WORST immigration office.

Thanks for our inebt and illustrious government!!!

    It's called "Furlough"!!!

Unpaid leave or days off of government employees.

It will be Fridays for some and Mondays for others.

These government employees are working only 4 days a week and it's going to happened through September this year.

Let's see what happens after September?

  4. Spouse entered the USA on June 15th, 2012

We got married at the City Court House on June 26th, 2012

I filed the AOS package on August 31st, 2012

    EAD approved November 11th, 2012

AOS approved July 5th, 2013 with no RFE or Interview

Best to send as soon as possible because there could be a longgggggggggggggg wait.

If you are scheduled for an interview at a USCIS office, you may get your approval sooner than the folks without an interview.

Don't forget to send a "certified" copy of your marriage certificate when filing for AOS. When you get marry, get your copies then. I got 2 originals and went back to get 3 certified copies. Of the 3, I sent 1 with the AOS package. I did not want to send any of the originals. You can plan a big wedding later. If you get marry outside the court house, you will have to wait for the paperwork to arrive via mail.

  5. On July 5th, a card was ordered.

On July 10th, a card was ordered again.

    What is going on?

So they didn't do anything on the 5th?! sad.png

    Cin

Same thing happened to us. Guess the 5th was just informing of approval. Our GC finally went out on the 11th. After checking USPS with the tracking number provided by uscis.gov, the GC is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow on the 13th. Plan to go next week to the SSN office to order a new and updated SSN card.

When I finally was approved my status went back and forth like 3 times!! I was confused but I received my gc 7 days later after the 1st notification, so don't worry! Good luck with your new job!

    Andrea&Henry

    Congrats.... "New Bebe"

  6. Gotta move FAST!!!

Looks like you need to send:

Form l-693 - Did you provide a copy of the 3025? If so, guess it was lost at USCIS and it's not the 1st time this happens... You have to quickly get a list of approved Civil Surgeon doctors in your area. Start calling and find the cheapest price. Do you have the Form 3025? Take this with you. Most likely, your overseas doctor paperwork has expired.

Form G-325A - Did you send this? If not, you messed up big time!

Did you follow the link in VisaJourney of what to send? http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

Good Luck... and move fast... You are almost there!!!

    K1 Visa

    I-693 vaccination transcription service

Transfer vaccinations information from DS-3025 to the I-693

Need page 1 and the vaccinations page of the I-693 filled out by the Civil Surgeon. Take the shot records with you to the Civil Surgeon. The required vaccinations for AOS are, MMR, Tdap/TD, varicella(or history of chickenpox), and flu shot (only during flu season- Oct. - Mar.)

  7. Wow, nice of them to let you know they transferred it! If it was me, I would have tried to immediately call the KC field office directly and ask them A) if it has arrived yet and B) if so, what is the time estimate and C) does this mean we're having an Interview?

I thought that if it got transferred that meant you were going to get the interview letter, but I could be wrong.

My wife and I filed on Sept 21, 2012, so we're at about 9.5 months. Good to see some Sept. filers getting some action. I had always said if it went past 9 months I would start calling people, etc. but now I'm wondering if we should give it another couple weeks and just wait. And if I do decide to start "calling people" where should I start? USCIS? The NBC? Call my local office and ask them to look into it? All of the above?

Hey Ryan76, read my post at: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/432305-aos-from-k1-visa-processed-at-nbc-how-long-does-it-take/

Also, hang in there, looks like it is all happening at the 10 month time frame. Calling ain't going to do any good. Wait and lots of patience. There is no way you can speed this slow process. I can guarantee you that.

  8. Found this info while waiting in "Limbo"

    NBC Processing Times: USCIS

    http://immigration-lawyer.com/info/nbc-processing-times-uscis/

The USCIS National Benefits Center serves a unique role within USCIS as part of the Field Operations Directorate. This USCIS Service Center was founded in 2001 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and was originally called the Missouri Service Center. This is why NBC receipt notices begin with the letters “MSC.” The primary mission of the NBC is to prepare immigration applications for adjudications that require an interview at a USCIS Field Office. Preparing such an application requires considerable time and effort, including conducting background and security checks and reviewing the evidence an applicant submits to support eligibility for a particular immigration benefit.

    NBC Processing Times
NBC Processing Times is a bit of a misnomer in some cases, as NBC does not determine processing times for I-485 and N-400 applications, which constitute the majority of the NBC’s workload. NBC does not determine processing times for those case types because NBC does not conduct final adjudication of those cases–a USCIS Local Field Office does. So each Local USCIS Field Office determines processing times for Form I-485 and Form N-400 applications. For processing times on N-400 and I-485 applications, please check local USCIS Field Office processing times

    NBC Workload and Procedure
The NBC’s largest workload is Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (the final step in the Green Card process for those who are not filing for Immigrant Visa Processing at a US Consulate overseas), and the Form N-400 Application for Naturalization. These two applications are estimated to reach well over a million cases in FY-2012. In the Form I-485 process, an applicant must provide all initial evidence before s/he can be scheduled for interview at a local USCIS Field Office. If evidence is missing, the NBC will issue a Request for Evidence (RFE). An RFE places a hold on the I-485 application, as well as the associated applications filed with it (for example, Form I-130, Form I-765, Form I-131) until NBC receives the missing initial evidence. Missing evidence will not delay N-400 processing at the NBC. But if the missing evidence is not provided at the time of the N-400 naturalization interview in the local USCIS Field Office, the adjudication of the N-400 may be delayed, or the N-400 may be denied.

So you want to know the processing time? Find out the processing date for your local office. This is the same office you will be sent for "Biometrics". I called USCIS... I wrote the to DHS Ombudsman... and this is what I was told. Check the local office. Local Office are the ones that approve I-485...."NOT" NBC...

K1 AOS without an interview can take up to a year. In my case, 10 Months...

AOS with an interview are quick...

  9. My spouse was going through her emails and deleting a whole bunch of stuff. She turned to me and said, baby, there is an email from USCIS and I don't know what it means.

It was sent 11:45 PM, 5 July 2013 and it was in Spanish. Well, it says...

On July 5, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

    Approved!!!

    Hurray!!!

I've done all the paperwork myself with the help of VisaJourney and all its members.

We Thank You "ALL" for the great help!!!

    and "Support"!!!

  10. I personally know 2 August filers that have been approved and have received their GC. K1, Colombia. One is from Tampa, the other from Panama City (she went to Jacksonville USCIS office). Hoping for approval this month or next month.

My spouse completed 1 year 4 days ago. On the 26th is our 1yr anniversary.

On the 11th I sent a request to the DHS Ombudsman, the reply was:

    ---

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for the recent request for assistance that you submitted to the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman. Your submission is being reviewed to determine how our office may assist. If we are able to help, you will receive correspondence regarding the inquiry from our office within 45 business days. If our office is unable to assist, we will notify you promptly. Sincerely,

    ---

Feel a bit good, because I have not received an immediate response that they cannot help me.... But have to wait up to 45 days...

    Wait... Wait... Wait...

  11. I read this at an Immigration website. It was written by an Immigration Lawyer:

    Contacting NBC

If you need to contact NBC regarding your case, please call the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The representative taking your call will send an electronic message to NBC that will be answered within 15 days. Expedite requests, for certain applications, are answered within 5 days.

    ---
    My Take

For what I have read, the no-interview applications sit at NBC until the field office gets around to it to complete the job or do the final adjudication. If you have not received an RFE, which happens shortly, such as within a month after submitting the package or have been designated for an interview, your best bet is that your stuff is at a nice dusty cabinet at NBC. Calling ain't going to make a difference, because everyone is being told the same thing, "Wait". There are folks here at VisaJourney who are at the 11 month waiting.

"NBC does not determine processing times for I-485 and N-400 applications, which constitute the majority of the NBC’s workload. 12. EAD is approx 90 days from NOA.

Interview... not everyone gets an interview...

My case is a no-interview and we are still waiting...

Lots of folks who filed last year since August who are not required an interview are still waiting...

Nothing is wrong if you do not hear from them. If there is, they will send you an "RFE". Other than that, relax and enjoy the wait...

    Good luck!
