PleaseDeleteAcct got a reaction from Jazel Stickel in Case Status
Well I don't know if it makes you feel better or worse but our NOA1 is 1/12/12 also at VSC and our case was last updated on 3/29/12 as well.
We are now past the 5 month mark and we were told they can't do anything for us (not even service request with senator/congressman help) for another 3 weeks...
I'd say since your NOA1 is in March you have at least another 2 months to go, possibly more.
Of course there is always a chance that things get sped up between now and then but I'd advise you to think on the long end of things instead of the short end so that you won't be disappointed... when we filed the average for VSC was 3 to 3.5 months so we were assuming ours would be too and VJ timeline originally predicted based on other timelines that we would have approval between April 1 and April 15th... here we are June 15th and still no NOA2 approval.
Better to be prepared for a good 5-6 months for NOA2 and then be pleasantly surprised if you get it sooner because it's not fun to have to try to re-adjust your thinking to wait longer that you originally planned or expected :/ Trust Me

Not to be rude or anything but you've posted a new thread with the same question like 4 times in the last week, why not go to the old threads where people have been talking and giving updates instead of re-asking the question?:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/346120-january-2012-i-130-filers/ << thats the one I started in Jan when we first filed, still people are ion there telling if anything is going on
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/368502-january-filers/ << here is one u started just a few days ago...
Trust me, the Jan filers are all getting antsy and everyone wants to know what's up but starting a new thread each day is just gonna get the same people answering you (like i have every day) with the same answers.
Just check out the ones that have been around and follow them to see Jan filers updates, also check timelines and Igors list

PleaseDeleteAcct got a reaction from Inky in Joint Credit Card Statement
I called my credit card company and had them send me a letter "confirming" that my husband was a registered used on my card.
They sent a letter showing both names as users on the account on their letterhead and signed by a service rep. I sent a copy of that letter with my i130 petition. I haven't gotten my NOA2 yet, but I would think that letter should do!!
    Good luck!

PleaseDeleteAcct got a reaction from unlockingsky in USCIS updated the processing volumes and trend
I called and spoke with USCIS cust serv rep yesterday (5/1/2012).
My husband and I filed an I-130 for CR-1 visa on Jan 12, 2012. According to VSC, they claim to be processing apps from Jan 16, 2012.... But I haven't heard anything about ours yet.... and 2 weeks ago when I called, they claimed to be working on Dec 25,2011... but 6 weeks ago they said they were on Jan 1, 2012.
Honestly, I don't think anyone is giving accurate information.. I think they might be TRYING, but they are not helping with giving us dates further ahead than they are

So sorry to hear of the rejection letter, that stinks that such a little mistake can send everything back
I'm not an expert so don't take my advice as your only advice lol
But if you want to continue just the CR/IR1 route you only need to send the i-130 packet. I believe you only need to sent both i130 and 485 together if your spouse is already living here and wants to stay? or if you are doing a k-3 visa which used to be faster that cr1/ir1 but isnt necessarily the case anymore...
Again, I am just going off some other things i;ve read here and I don't know this information to be fact. But it was my understanding that the 485 isn't needed at all for the USCIS for CR/IR1 visas, only the i-130 with supporting evidence as outlined in all the guides.
I hhope that helps a little? Sorry I was not of more use... good luck with everything!!
