  1. I'm at NVC stage, AOS sent, IV bill paid. I guess most of August filers must be happily with their second halves by now. A couple of months and we'll reach there as well.

    Cheers^^

Yeah but we're almost there too. :-) Now waiting for my interview letter. Hope I don't get additional checklist for both of my packages as I have a little problem with my police clearance. Have you sent your IV package already?

  2. Hi everyone! Believe or not I skimmed through this thread from page 1 up to the last page and realized we've been through a lot! I am not sure if you guys got confused when I said I got approved on Feb 17 and then I was posting "hopeful" messages again after. And on April 2 I said I got approved. The first approval was actually my son's and Ive mistaken it to be mine... Anyway, how's NVC process going along? :-)

  3. If everything goes smoothly it usually arrives within a week. But there's really no definite timeframe. I'd call them after a week just to follow up though. :-)

  4. Only 2 passport pictures are nice. You can tell your husband to frame the other one and put it on his desk :P

And yeah, I believe the CEMAR is needed for the interview, not the IV package. I'm sure someone's asked about this in the Philippines sub-forum.

For police certificates, NVC is asking for ones since you were 16, so to me, it sounds like you'd need that one too.

Hahaha! I don't think so! I don't look good on that photo to deserve a space on his desk. kidding. :-D I actually sent 3 just in case NVC loses one. :innocent:

Do you think I will be fine if I show the other police clearance at the interview? And I'm still lost in this site I don't know where the sub-forums are. Been trying to stare at the homepage but couldn't find a clue where it is.

  5. Saylin, I can't get a hold of my husband as of the moment so here are the things I sent for my IV package as far as I can remember.

    1. 3 pcs of 2x2 pics

    2. biographical page of my passport and the relative accompanying me

    3. marriage certificate original and photocopy

    4. birth certificate original and photocopy and the birth cert of the relative accompanying me

    5. Police clearance orig and photocopy (since the last 2 years of residency at this certain province here in the Phils)

    6. NBI clearance (for the Philippines) orig and photocopy

    7. DS-230 1st part signed, 2nd part unsigned

    8. IV barcoded sheet

    9. cover sheet (c/o husband)

When I sent my IV package to my husband I didn't know I have to have CEMAR (advisory on marriage...a proof that I've been married only once)...I got one already...was supposed to send it to my husband but I think I can just show that at the interview since I dont want to spend for fedex. I read that that's one of the basic reasons for 221g here in the Philippines.

The other additional document (which I will need to acquire before the interview) not included in my IV package is the police clearance from where I lived for 26 years. Not really sure if they are asking for the police clearance at my present residence or my previous one...

  6. The instruction package (if you're referring to the one on the timeline) is actually the DS-230 instructions. So your interview letter wouldn't be in that. It's sent in the interview letter package, also called Packet 4 on the timeline.

Got it. I think I must've interchanged instruction package with the packet 4. Now I'm off to research about packet 3 because I thought packet 3 is actually the ds3032 package.

  7. In the interview letter package? Yes. If you want to see what it looks like, you can check out screenshots of mine: http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p174/smurf47/Immigration/NVC%20interview%20email/ Yours will look a bit different when it comes to what's needed at the interview. But you'll get a gist of what to expect.

I meant instruction package haha! hope I didn't confuse anyone... checked the link you sent me and now I can't wait for get mine. Thanks Saylin! :-)
