Sure it is: He loves what she's got, and she loves what he's got, and therefore they end up loving each other.

A charitable view. As with the current case, they are an extortion racket that self-selects for petty tyrants who like to terrorize their citizens and make them pay for the privilige.

You should kick her dirty *ss to the curb for giving you a hard time.
Those people at the CFO seminar are all control freaks and power trippers. I think they behave this way because their jealousy is driving them crazy..
Give them what they are asking for. Get that BS certificate, Flip her the bird and move on!
    Best of Luck!

The CFO is a another nanny-state, money making scam for the Philippine government, under the guise of caring for the welfare of its citizens.
The thought of having to listen to the drivel of a bunch control freaks and being treated like a 5 year before you can leave the country, should be insulting to adults.

Isn't that interesting, a totalitarian government does not require that of its citizens?
In some respects the Philippine government does treat its citizens like children.

Just send what is needed to be sent. Some people feels more confident if they load themselves with papers.

I went to a family funeral today and found out that word spread quick between family and they now all know about my relationship. They were all asking about it. They teased me, some were very interested and asked questions, and most all seem to be fine with it. I had been quiet about it so far. I know there will be those of my friends and my neighbors that will think I have lost my mind. I will not get in a conversation with them because they are uninformed about our relationship or even who she is. It would be like discussing Christianity with a Muslim. It's just a loose/loose conversation. It's best not to discuss it with them, even if they attempt to drag you into it.
You are confident in your choice. Don't let them test you. Just smile and change the subject because as long as you are the subject, you are going to be on the defensive. It's best to be so happy with your fiancee and future wife that they evenutally get it and move onto annoy someone else.
If these people effect your relationship then they have won. Politely ignore them and forgive them for their ignorance.

Same here on shipping a 2 yr old used MP3 player and charger. Cost $43 to ship and Customs charges P1800/ $41 US. Crazy Crazy Crazy. DO NOT SEND ANY THING TO PHILIPPINES UNLESS ITS AND EMERGENCY OR ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AND WILLING TO PAY THE CUSTOMS COST.
Best way is to send the money through Westernunion or LBC or Money Transfer. Let your love one purchase the items there in Philippines. It will save you a whole lot of money.
Follow up note to shipping through Philspost office. My fiance witnessed first hand the corrupted people at customs and the people that worked at the post office in Pasay. Its a syndicate there people paying off people to get there packages without paying customs. Customs officers adding additional charges or overcharging people on customs fees. Especially foreigners or packages coming from abroad. I wonder what will happen if international shipping was to drop by 50 percent. Lot of jobs lost and questions will be asked.
    Best

lol. sounds funny but i'm sorry about that. i'm a filipina. i'll be paying my medical and visa. i borrowed the money though from my parents. but, it's a little bit embarrassing how we filipinos act when we saw foreigners. charge that to being colonized by several other countries. that's why, every time we see foreigners, we always thought they are superior and have lots of money.

Hi, I would strongly recommend hiring an immigration attorney. You are getting advice here, but you don't know how well the posters know the system. Some may be attorneys and be giving you great advice, but you cannot be sure of the quality of advice you are getting in a public forum, even a very well-intentioned one. Lawyer up.

That St. Lukes who pays for it is a classic.
American guys marrying a very young less than educated poor girl, is a lot to deal with specially if you haven't been exposed at least to the culture before.
If you can find someone with no kids, legally single, no leach relatives, can well feed and support herself on my own and serves your best interest- lucky you.
It all depends on who you picked.
