Thank you. I looked into the F2A visa category and it appears to be correct answer. I also researched to see several people who had their case completed anywhere from 8 months to a little over a year.

I came to the US three months ago on EB-3 or to be more specific on E31 Visa. I have a Permanent Resident Card now. I want to bring my spouse and child to the United States. I was told E31 visa holder's spouse and children can come to the United States much faster than other Permanent Resident Card holders. Could someone please guidance on the process. I have been searching online, but couldn't find much information. Any help will be appreciated.

I am wondering if Jame's Shortcuts are still valid or if there is an updated version as some of the information is outdated. For example, my understanding is taht Choice of Agent can be emailed now vs mailing it.

Fairfax office has same day Oath. After the interview, they ask to stay another hour for the oath ceremony.

Edited to add my parents cases are now complete at NVC, just waiting for the interview date now. NVC told me it will be in July.Congratulations. You are almost done.

I don't have the details yet, but passed the interview. Oath was a few hours after the exam. Seems like it depends on local office. Some do it the same day and others do it at a later day.

hi and asslam o alaikum,
we recieved our visas today.right after 2 weeks of submitting the papers(affidavit of support by a joint sponsor,and birth certificate original etc) on the grounds of which we were refused visa on the day of interview.
the whole family(my parents and me and my brother) recieved the visas.
my prayers for all those who are still stuck in the process.i hate it
but there is still a little bit of confusion
they also gave us packages which we are not to open but to submitt at the airport we arrive at.just like we were not allowed to open medical papers.
can anybody tell us
is it normal???
Congratulations on getting visas. What kind of case did you apply for? I thought if you apply for parents, siblings can't come as dependants. If you apply for all, it takes siblings about 10 years while a year for parents.

NOTICE FOR ANYONE APPYING FOR A PARENT (IR-5).
I HAVE JUST GOT A RFE FROM THE NVC. NEW GUIDELINES ARE THAT THE PETITIONING CITIZEN MUST INCLUDE WITH THE DS-230 A ORIGINAL OF THE PETITIONERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND ANY DIVORCE PAPERS.
I will overnight them to NVC and hope it does not slow us down too much.
Thanks for sharing. I understand the birth certificate but don't know why they would need marriage certificate of the person applying for parents.

My husband passed his interview.. No comes the Oath Cermony on May 28th
Do they give you the oath cermony date on spot right after the interview?

My wife had her bio today. she has problem memorizing 100 questions. any idea, how she can do this.i have printed those 100 questions from USCIS web site. does any one bought DVD. Is this any help. Thanks for your feed back.

Not sure what you are asking.
They did not join the interview.
Do you know if one form needs to be filed for both spouse and child or two different forms?
