  1. 5 months is actually a good timeline. good luck with your Interview
  2. I am a september filer. Though saw the October peeps popping up. Good luck with your application
  3. timeline moved down to 7 months. 3 changes made since i applied on september 13. it was initially 9 months. Looking good and wish the same for everyone else here.
  4. it is very highly unlikely that they approve someone without Interview. In Interview, USCIS figures out your civic knowledge, how is your english and few more checks. After the interview, if approved you go to OATH. Interview isn't a bad thing so don't worry about it and start preparing for your civic test. go online and search for N-400 civic questions or citizenship civic questions. yeah so far one. I think he / she is scheduled for Nov 2
  5. Make sure you put the description of it so USCIS know. Not every arrest lead to the jail time, but as it did in your case, you should mention it as you did in the past. There isn't anything to worry about and i hope your case gets through smoothly. Keep us posted.
  6. Another thing i need to ask you. You said you were arrested back in Oman. Did you serve any jail time because of that arrest? If so, how long were you been in jail for?
  7. Even if they ask 10 times in 10 different ways in application, please mention that you were jailed. As you see they asked the same thing but didn't say anywhere in the world, but the question is still the same "if you have ever been jailed" or "if you have ever been jailed anywhere in the world" Answer should remain the same and must be disclosed on any immigration or federal related applications. When you disclose on N400 that you were jailed, also make a little description that you were jailed in Oman on such and such date and why were you jailed for. I am not a lawyer so don't take my words for sure, but i am certian others on this forum would suggest you the same thing.
  8. sounds convenient lol. But not sure which BIO letter to follow. Looks like they will be using BIO reuse. But even if they don't and want to see my face that's fine too lol. Just one person from September filers have scheduled with an Interview. I believe he mentioned his Interview date Nov 2nd. Welcome to Sep Mafia
  9. good luck to all new comers in September filers. One weird thing happened. I was issued with Bio reuse letter when i filed online. But yesterday i got a letter stating that my biometric will be scheduled and in the next letter I will be given a date that i need to visit nearest ASC. wow! I wasn't expecting it lol. I would ask everyone to keep an eye on any possible surprises like the one i just got. edited: my online account doesn't say anything about this new letter coming. it still shows bio reuse letter though.
  10. so yours still not showing "actively being reviewed by USCIS"?
  11. welcome to the club!. All you can do now is wait but yeah hope yours get approval soon. awesome, now the Interview date... your wait starts now lol
  12. nice! you are the first one getting scheduled for an Interview in Sep filers. I am so happy for you and hope you get to the other side of this journey and hit the finish line soon. Keep us all posted.
  13. To me it looks like the office that will handle your application is tremendously backlog. It is accepting application but can only post timeline when the older applications in a queue gets pushed. It shouldn't take long as most of the FO i checked processing applications within 10 to 11 months. what's the current status of your application at the moment?
  14. i thought all bio appointments are set and scheduled with a specific date. Doesn't it show you a date on your bio appointment letter?
  15. I wished if i could answer on this but the mechanism behind processing application varies. I am sure you have mentioned that earlier but did you apply under 3 or 5 year rule?
  16. trust me USCIS mantra is not healthy, the less you think about it the better you live your days. Follow my lead and take it easy, just go with a flow and one day, you will be seeing yourself taking an OATH.
  17. but that ain't DACA for you lol Surprise us soon that you are scheduled for an Interview. lol
  18. I don't see a reason why timeline gets disappeared just like that, besides it may be a glitch in a Database USCIS uses. I am sure you aren't the only one not having timeline appearing. But overall, you got the BIO REUSE letter and that's all matters. Hopefully you will see timeline in your profile reflecting the current processing time. My wild guess it should be anywhere in between 8 to 12 months. But again
  19. Filed on September 12 and today my case timeline dropped from 9months to 8months. I pray the same for everyone else. Thought to share with my fellow September peeps. Estimated time* until case decision: approx. 8 months
  20. Let's just not create unnecessary fear which doesn't even need its implementation, where an OP just asked a simple question "why my application taking this long". First off, all IOs are trained pretty much to deal with any case type, sometime they do need a supervisor input if they find themselves stuck in deciding what to do. Marriage based, this based or that based, IOs know what they are doing and how to tackle cases with brain. Else about marriage fraud or sham marriages, application getting delayed isn't necessarily because of USCIS is considering a particular application a fraud. It could be million other reasons. People here doesn't need to be scared from the answers on the question they ask. Let's be easy in our responses.
  21. Inn sha Allah you will be ok, and i pray the same for everyone else
  22. Technically speaking, you don't have any options at the moment besides waiting to hear back from them. Looks like they are working on arranging an interview seat for your wife and probably backlogged with hundreds of applicants before you. The good thing is there is nothing else that's holding your application besides an Interview date, most of the people here don't hear back from USCIS for months and they have no idea what's holding their applications. Did you file under 3 year rule?
  23. glad to see septemeber filers community is growing. Who will be on the hot seat first, (Interview date lol) can't wait to see that.
  24. good news!!!, and who knows you get out of all this faster than anyone here. Can't wait to hear that you have been scheduled for an Interview. keep up!!!!
