I applied March 2020, bio reused in Feb 2021, no other news.

Also wanted to share a few data points for friends:

A friend, who applied Dec 2019 just got their interview passed (got a notification a month ago).

Three friends in SFO still waiting for an interview, they filed Apr-Jul 2020

    thanks for sharing

Hi @Oksana2@@ Thank you for posting the shared Google spreadsheet. I cannot write in the sheet. How can I contribute to the timeline document? We filed our N-400 in December 2020 as well.

Further, does any one know if we can file an "Outside Normal Processing Time" inquiry about our case? I see that many of you Dec 2020 filers have received interviews and even got case approved (congrats). We haven't heard anything other than a waiver for biometrics (in February 2021).

    Thank you!

More than half of us still don't have interview dates, don't worry it's normal. Especially for my area (SF in CA).

I don't know your travel history, but your timeline suggests that you may have been eligible for citizenship under either the 5 year or 3 year (married to a US citizen) option. Evidence required depends on which basis of eligibility you are filing under. I think you have more evidence than you need for 5 year filing, and not enough evidence for 3 year filing on the basis of marriage to a US citizen.

USCIS has a helpful checklist for evidence supporting N-400 applications:

    https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/M-477.pdf

Since you uploaded your marriage certificate, I'm going to guess that you filed under 3-year (married to a US citizen). For that you would need:

    -------------

The one thing that I don't see in your list of evidence is 'Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last 3 years'.

Thank you fellow Australian! I will upload my husband's US passport today and the tax transcripts. And thanks for the file but are there files/checklist for other type of naturalization eligibility? it seems like me and my friend (diff eligibility) when completing the form online, the only evidence they asked are the very minimum I uploaded.

What's the difference between 3 and 5 year rule? I thought 5 year rule just means the couple has been married for longer. I came on K1, married in 2012 then got 10 year green card in 2014, that's more than 5 years. Does it make things move faster? My husband has been an USC for 30 years, no previous marriage, neither do I. I only travelled outside us twice since 2014 and each time just 2-5 weeks. We've been filing tax and always got tax refund. no crime no drama, have a daughter. This is a straight forward case right? I just wonder do these 'plus points' matter when it comes to N400? Besides each office's processing speed, what determines who gets approved or progress sooner? Isn't it first come first served? Or is it all just a mystery?

  4. Hi all, what evidence did you upload to the application? It suddenly hit me as maybe I'm not uploading enough?

    I uploaded:

    - marriage certificate

    - kid's birth certificate

    - my passport n green card

I have joint bank accounts, car insurance, tax return, house deed etc that I haven't uploaded. Those are good right? What about social media family photos?

  5. HI i've been keeping track of our Google doc weekly. But today i saw something wrong, some parts are missing?! and my entry is pushed way down the list with a big gap. Does anyone know what happened???? There should be 30 something people on there now there's half.

Few days ago I saw half of the people using the Google doc got bio reuse letter and 2 got interview date already.

Unfortunately for me, filed Dec 28/29, got no bio letter yet. I've been on green card for more than 5 years. and my estimated finish time is always Jan 2022 (12-13 months from filing). I know CA is slow ....😪

I purposely asked my husband to come with me to my interview last December,  even though the letter did not mention it, for various reasons. First, just in case the interviewer wanted to ask something from him. Second, for comfort, just the thought of being alone going there freaks me out. Thirdly, he’s the US Citizen so it's a good idea to be there and prove that you're not doing this on your own.

Me and my husband were so glad he came with me because he got interviewed too! We had no idea! Before they proceed to the N-400 interview, they must approve the pending I-751.

So yes, take your spouse with you on your interview! I wonder what happens when your spouse (US Citizen) is not present?

HI thanks for sharing. May I ask what questions did they ask your husband at the interview? Did they interview him separately or with you?

  7. Thanks for the input. This is more about older people getting married. No issue with child custody. It's more about how each person's own financial situation would change with marriage.

I know in US, different state of have different rules when it comes to divorce, who can get half or some percentage of the combined wealth n whatnot.

But before that I wanna find out about if there's a difference in where to get married vs citizenship.
