  1. *hopefully will get reply, so I don't have to make new thread :) *

thanks so much everyone. We sent the petition and they received it (according to track #) what's next? do we have to wait until they contact us? or maybe we can call them?

the thing is, we didn't know that we should not send the original documents (I have just found out now) :( we submitted the originals of our affidavits :( will there be a problem (maybe when Biometric??) I'm so nervous. We only have copies with us now. should we tell them that our affidavits are the original?

is there always be Biometric? I've heard somewhere that maybe they won't invite us for Biometric if they think our evidence is good enough. is that true? I'm curious

  2. hi guys, I need some help :)

I stumbled on this link http://www.experiglot.com/2006/06/08/our-experience-with-filing-form-i-751-petition-to-remove-the-conditions-of-residence-or-another-fun-jaunt-through-bureaucracy/

and I found that this couple submitted passport style photo

    1. Do I have to submit it too? I didn't find it in the instruction

    and more questions:

    2. Do we submit photos too (like from our trips together or family gathering for example?) someone told me that I don't need to submit photos? If it is better for me to submit them, how many?

    3. Is it safe to just submit 2 sworn affidavits? we can make 3 (all done by my in-laws), but I'm just wondering :)

    4. Just wanna make sure again. Do we leave all that don't apply to us blank? such as part 5: Accomodation For Individuals with Disabilities, this does not apply to us, so we just leave it blank or we put NA on the first box?

    5. Part 4: Information About Children. We don't have children yet, someone said, all i need to do is just to type "NA" only in the first box on each part?

    6. We can use either black /blue ink to sign, right? (part 6)

    7. My husband is a USC (born and grew up here) so he doesn't have an Alien number, since we cannot type NA, we then leave it blank?

Please help with these questions, any info is much appreciated, thanks :)

  3. Hi all,

my 2 year GC will expire October 18 2014, so i am readying myself now to apply for my 10 year. however, there are some questions which make me confused.

    on i-751 Form-PART 1 :

    PHSYCAL ADDRESS

-- what does "in Care of Name" mean? is it my name/my spouse/other?

    MAILING ADDRESS

-- it's the same with the PHSYICAL ADDRESS, so I would leave it blank/write NA??

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

-- "are you in removal, deportation, or rescission proceedeings?" there are two answers YES or NO. I am in removal i believe, but there are the words "deportation and recission" there? :/ if I answer YES, does it apply to these two words also? (hope you know what I mean :( )

please help, thanks in advance :)

*i hope I post in the right section of the forum*

  4. almost one year here, and I'm still feeling awkward talking to my husband's family. they talk fast and have these different accents, they are really nice and sweet though...

so, i had plenty of times understanding them haha. I'm not confident talking with them, sometimes it's like that i get stuck (dunno what to talk about) ...and u know the awkward moment when 2 people stop talking, right? smile.png...it's not like when it happens tween u and your husband, when it's awkward, u can just kiss him hehe jk.

so i talk with my husband, and he says that I am fine biggrin.png if they don't understand me or me don't understand them, we could ask each other. I think he's right...so whenever i talk with my sis in law (esp on the phone) I would ask her to repeat and talk slowly smile.png)) and she's ok with it. so may be you can do it too? wink.png my problem is more with other people, the non-family ones, like when i go grocery and when some strangers ask me about something, and they talk so fast and of course, with different accents. what I do is, ask them to repeat heheee...I don't care if they think I'm stupid or deaf tongue.png

about american people talking negatives, well ..it's not only american people....if u know what i mean...it happens everywhere, my neighbours in my homeland do it, my relatives do it, all i have to do? simply stay away from them...or don't reply when they start it wink.png...

  5. hello there, i am not sure if it's the right place to ask but i really need help here.

so i have a Bachelor's degree from a University in my homeland, now I'm living in the US and planning to apply for school to get a better future carreer (i hope), in my head now, i feel i wanna go for Health Care. i have just checked a website of a university, and i read the candidates must have all these requirements, one of them is:

Bachelor's Degree: A baccalaureate degree in any major from an accredited institution of higher learning is required. It is desirable that the degree include a breadth of liberal arts courses.

from that, i assume that i need to do something called --credential evaluation? since i got my degree from outside the US.

am i right? can somebody tell me more about it, please? i did read about it, but what i mean here is, if one of u experienced it, please share, please (the system is just a lil bit different compare to the one we have there in my country.

    thanks for your time/help smile.png

  6. hi all,

actually i had asked this kinda question b4 (sorry if i sound stupid) but i FEEL i wanna make sure again ( i thought, JUST IN CASE, there are some changes/new regulation about it) so.....i hope it's ok hehe.

so, me (Indonesian Citizen, Green Card holder) and my hubby are gonna visit Canada next month. as a GC holder, i need to present my valid passport and Green card only, right? and no need Visa?

    thanks biggrin.png

  7. Hi everyone :) i've lived in the US for 2 months 27 days now. i just read TODAY from this link http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-751instr.pdf, that we have to file this form within 90 days. i was surprised because what i understand that we will have to file i-751 form later? cuz we are CR 1 Visa, cuz we got 2 years? :( i read about it in another forum. OMG, i'm so nervous now. can please somebody tell me all about it? because we only have 4 days left.

so it is "yes" or "no" that we (CR1) have to file form i-751 within 90 days?

    thanks.

  8. hi all, i received my Green Card about two weeks ago :) but no SSN yet, now i wonder if we should re-apply for my SSN again? i remember we didnt check the box for SSN on my DS 230. should i wait? or go to SSN office center and ask? some ppl said i should wait for it, cuz they will mail it to me. some others said i should ask the SSn center :-/ ????

im sorry if i shouldnt post this kinda question here, i just dunno where to post it. thanks.

  9. Hi, i will have my interview on August 2 :D i think u have so many strong proofs there, esp that you've been living together. i feel that u 2 will be fine, still bring the pics though, just in case ;) the more, the better, the safer, Good luck to us all :)

  10. Hello, for me I used a continuation Sheet, when u don't have enough room/space in the box provided...and yes, give them the COMPLETE ADDRESS.

i used to have Street Number on my home address, but i dont have it no more since there were "Changes" done by the local government(i still live in the same place though)but we ended up to have my address WITHOUT the street number (NVC did it) so i really quite don't know abt your case, but may be it's safe enough to write "unknown" if NVC told u this.

    good luck :)

  11. hello all :D

i have replied to a thread about arranging/compiling documents, but i think i have to start my own thread :D

so, i haven't got my Interview Appointment Letter yet, meanwhile..i am arranging everything now. i heard that when the Embassy send us the Interview Appoint. Letter, they will tell us how to put them in order such as: ORIGINAL-Photocopy-TRANSLATIONS, is it right? do they really ask us to arrange things the way they like it? or we can do it our way?

I'm using this kinda folder with dividers : http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00weHtCidqwDkJ/Conference-File-with-Dividers-Expanding-File-YH-47-.jpg

i labeled each divider in order too, starts with: I 130, G 325A, DS 3032, etc. then I put my Original Birth Certificate , the Photocopy and the translation (the Original Birth Certificate is on the top of all) i put it in its own place, - so is it all okay if i do it that way? OR that i shoulda separate the originals, copies and translations?

im using a paper clip for each document too, so it looks neat, u think there wont be a problem? (i hear that NVC/USCIS/embassy dont like it when they find paper clip on documents when they check. what do u think? (i hope you got me, sorry for my bad english :bonk: )

hope some1 can guide me,please share your experience, please. i have arranged half of them though, and sometimes i have to take them back cuz i wanna make sure ...so it's messy every time  my husband is guiding me too :D but i just wanna hear some inputs out there B-) Thanks :D

  12. i was just gonna look for some ideas to find the best way to compile my documents, man i'm so nervous :crying::wacko:

i'm using a folder with dividers, looks exactly like this: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00weHtCidqwDkJ/Conference-File-with-Dividers-Expanding-File-YH-47-.jpg

so i put each document to it's own place. is there a "rule" that we have to put Original Document (FIRST) , then Photocopy (SECOND) then Translations (THIRD)? or can we just put them the way we like it? as long as we arrange/prepare them neatly?

    can some1 share? thanks
