Hi,
I was wondering if I can submit DS 230 (IV package) without the police clearance from Malaysia and state it (the certificate) will be provided at embassy?
will the NVC just issue a RFE or they allow it? any experiences anyone?
the reason I am exploring this way is as Malasian certificate takes 6weeks or so, and my spouse will just apply for one - i wanted to save the time of waiting for pcc then submit IV packet by submitting the IV packet and state Malaysian clearance will be provided at embassy.

I make above poverty line, only one at the household at this point and will be sponsoring only one person (spouse on CR1). I was a student on my 2010 return (thus no income), have sufficient income on 2011 and 2012 IRS tax returns. can I file 864EZ or I need 864 for AOS ?

They decide IR1 or CR1 based on the date when you filed your petition I-130 at USCIS.
I thought the CBP officer at POE makes the decision on IR1 or CR1. For NVC-USCIS-consulate purposes - it is the same.

do not worry about OMB number and dates, that is a completely different office and that date/number is for comment purposes only. As long as you / your lawyer got the latest N400 available at USCIS website, you will be just fine.

I thought they are open till midnight? because on the 'you may have to wait for more than 2/5 minutes' message, they suggest you to call between '8to10am or 930pm and midnight' EST. Probably DST?

You can't give the operators any information until a case number has been assigned.
And you don't need to tell them the beneficiary's new address. That'll be on the DS-230.

Ok, my case (NOA2 on 5/22 from CSC) is in NVC. They said NVC recieved it last monday 6/11 and not put in their system yet.
two questions:
1. do I try to give them email address for electronic correspondence now or wait for they put it in their system ?
2. I need to update beneficiary's address as she moved from the address in G325A and I130. Do I need to wait for case # or ask to update now ?

My dad is preparing F3 for my brother and has two questions while filling out I 130
on 15 - is this the petitioner's employment or beneficiary's employment information needed?
on 22, the first two fields (city and state) is filled with N/A since my brother is not in US and not applying for adjustment. But, should he fill the next two fields with City and State of my brother (and dad's) native country ? Or the entire 22 should be filled with N/A (all four fields) ?
Also, since my brother is married, should my dad need to fill out a 325A for my brother's wife too? Or just two 325A (one for dad one for son/my brother) is all that is needed.

Finally .... got my oath scheduled. Donot know the date yet - need to wait for the letter. Just got the email, no text though
other updates:
My dad's oath is tomorrow 6/15, he was offered 4/27 oath but he requested one after 6/13 and 6/15 it is. Orlando office has oath ceremonies every friday from what I heard. Mom is scheduled for re-interview on July 09 at 730am after she failed her speaking part (passed the civic and writing part). They both were initially interviewed on 4/24.

I am on the same boat. my interview was on 3rd of May, and still waiting in the oath queue from that time after a recommendation for approval.
did you try to have an infopass, as seem your 45 days of waiting are up. different ppl have reported to have gotten the oath date on that infopass day.
since california florida and NY are some of the busiest offices in the country it comes to no surprise that we are on that 45 days limit.
let me know if the infopass works, as seem like USCIS, is like banking: always need some spanking
Infopass for me will be quite an inconvenience as the office is 3hr one way from my location. I just put in a e-request from USCIS webpage but dont know the effectiveness of that. It is now over 45 days since the interview and approval. I may call the USCIS line tomorrow and try to 'spank' some

I was wondering if NVC will accept DS230 IV packet without my spouse's Malaysian PCC and state the certificate will be provided at embassy.
Due to unavoidable circumstances we couldnot apply for one before, now it will take at least 6 weeks to get the certificate before sending to NVC. Can I submit the DS230 without the PCC and state it will be provided at the interview?
