  1. I wouldn't recommend doing that because:

    1. It will cost you $16 for them to answer the phone and talk to you for up to 7 minutes.
    2. London won't even acknowledge your case is there for maybe 3 weeks.
    3. The person on the phone won't be able to sort it out.

If you're the USC, it won't be as critical because your name isn't going on a visa, into immigration databases at POE, or on a greencard. I'd have my fiance discuss it in person at the interview. Send him a copy of your birth certificate for that purpose. The embassy isn't USCIS so I don't think they can change USCIS records or issue you a corrected NOA2 if that's what you want. Take that up again with USCIS or make your lawyer get a corrected NOA2. They should fix the mess to your satisfaction since it was their mistake.

Meanwhile contine to fill out forms with the correct name. Your fiance will do forms for London.

And fire the lawyer. They got your name wrong and you got an RFE. Not a good track record.

  2. How wrong is "wrong"? if it's a typo that's one thing, if its a completely different name i doubt that looks good that the USC doesn't know the fiance's middle name... It's likely the information will still be wrong on the visa stuff... What does the NOA1 say? Make sure he calls to "fix" it over the system, probably make an infopass and then make sure he checks the NOA2 when you get it

I had an attorney file my petition and they were the ones that did the mistake. My first and last name are correct except middle name. I first noticed when the USCIS sent me an RFE. I called them and they said to make sure when I sent the things they we're requesting to make a note along with the things. I made sure the attorney knew about it and said they would sent a note and a copy of my birth certificate again along with the evidence. Just got the approval few days ago and noticed again that they still had my middle name wrong but said on approval that they had sent file to NVC already. So today I called NVC to let them know about it, but they said file had been sent to London today. They said to call Consulate in London in few days give it time to arrive.

  3. I prepared our petition packet. My husband came and visit me last 2009 as well and we filed on April this year. Our pictures have no dates but I labeled them by putting dates, name of place and what we did ( Civil wedding, church ceremony, eating, honeymoon, with my family, etc.) I even put a short story of how we met and what we've been through ( its not necessary though but in case it will be helpful). I put the 1 page story as a the title page of our pictures.

Yes, please do send the copy of receipts (hotel and restaurant receipts), passport stamps and tickets. ( if you purchased ticket online, maybe you can print again the ticket that airlines sent to you - only a suggestion)

God bless and Good luck. ( Let's pray that everything will be ok.)

Thank you so much. Very kind words, God bless as well!

  4. Send pictures from different days, so they see you wear different clothes or have a different haircut/hairstyle. Send the flight invoice and maybe receipts from hotels were you stayed at. Send passports copys from both yours and your fiancée's. Send pics were they can see you with other family members and write in the back who they are, try to get some pics that don't look too "posed", f.i. you standing and talking to somebody or so. Maybe you can send sworn affidatives that your parents know your fiancée and vice versa.

    Good luck!!!

Thanks for your help. Congrats on the approval, not long before you both are together! happy for you both!!

  5. Please send them these...

    - Boarding pass and passport stamp to prove you have visted your fiance/fiancee within last 2 years

    - Pics with date place and name who are in it at the back side send atleast 5 pics

for above pics show that were taken at some famous places where you met your fiance/fiancee should be good

i have sent above stuff and got approved ,right now am at a stage of sending packet 3 back to US-embassy.

    All the best!!!

Thank you will do so. Congrats on making it that far! All the best to you as well
  6. I sent a copy of every page of my passport to show stamps into the UK; printed out pictures and wrote the dates, places, and who all was in the pictures; and I sent a copy of my most recent flight itinerary. That is all I sent for proof of having met and I didn't get an RFE.

Good you didn't get one. I had sent pictures, sent itinerary as well, and ticket stubs. Only thing I had not sent was copy of passport stamped with entry to UK. But will do now, and resend pictures with dates on them. Thanks for info! :)

  7. What I understand from what the USCIS asked you is the time that you were in UK to see your fiancée. Those lists you put can prove the time you were there. For the I-129f petition, the major thing is the time that you visit your fiancé. The USCIS want to see that clearly otherwise there is a possibility to be denied. Send the copy of your passport as quickly as possible.

    Good luck

I had sent pictures and ticket stubs before. Will send copy of passport stamped and receipts. Thanks you are always a help!

  8. If they want the stamped passport, send it in. Remember to make a copy of all pages. Send any receipts you have from the time you were in the UK. I didn't have pictures with dates on them directly, but I did write in the dates and where we were at the time the picture was taken.

Thanks I will send passport stamped, and will put dates on the pics. I wasn't sure about receipts, but do have many and will send.

  9. Finally got my RFE and says they want pics with dates, receipts, and ticket stubs or stamp passport. I had previously sent ticket stubs on which some you can't really see dates cause they are from 2009. I sent pics of us together as well, but they don't have dates. Do they need to have dates? The only thing I had not previously sent was copy of my passport stamped and receipts. When they say receipts, do they mean any sort from when I was in the UK visiting my fiance? If anyone can help me on this one I really appreciate. :) Thanks!

  10. The best answer is, "...It depends!" I received a RFE due to: 1) My legal name change (two diff last names on my records) 2) proof of divorce from my first marriage (only gave proof for the 2nd). I gathered the info and returned it to them via express mail, in less than 4 days after I received it. So it extended the NOA2 by about 3 weeks. - No Sweat. :bonk:

Thanks for info. I guess I have to wait on letter to arrive and know what is that they are requesting for... And then be able to say it was no sweat!
