    Just waiting, waiting, and waiting on the medical so we can finally be issued the visa. Nervousness will not subside until we are in the US.

      Congrats on your husband's approval. I completely empathize with your nerves. I am sick to my stomach everyday, wondering what could go wrong. I only hope that in a few months, my husband will be sitting beside me in the US and we can laugh together about how neurotic I was.

    It took 8 months for Mumbai to send our petition back to USCIS (ridic!) and now it's been @ USCIS for 4 months! How long must this torture be endured? Praying for reaffirmation

    It is officially 8 weeks. My grandfather is scheduled for emergency open heart surgery today. If something terrible happens, the embassy is going to get an earful because having my grandparents at our wedding is one of the reasons we chose to marry in the US. Dipu should have been here a month ago and we should be married by now.

      My heart truly goes out to you. Since it's been 60 days maybe it's time for you start getting aggressive. Call or email until you get a response. An update, a notice that they touched your case, anything. Maybe another call to your senators wouldn't be such a bad idea. You guys need some good news! Stay tough!

    Apparently the way Mumbai does things just goes way over my head... My fiancee was not able to submit Packet 3 to the embassy either at the consulate or the VFS... apparently, email is the *ONLY* way to get packet 3 to them.... ::sigh::

    Week 6 and Dipu is in the hospital recovering form surgery. It kills me that I can't be there and that we are still in AP. Come on government, figure it out already. What could possibly take you so long when the Indian government already did all the work issuing police and passport clearance certificates which include a certificate affirming he belongs to no terrorist groups that they know of. What more could you want?

      I really hope you guys get an answer around the week 7 or week 8 mark. Are you able to contact your state senator so they can possibly speed things up?
