I have a N400 app waiting for interview to be scheduled.

However, I work with a guy who is convicted felon on probation.

He is a good kid and is trying to keep his job and improve his life.

My question is. Will my professional association with this guy affect my N400 app/ citizenship ?

my biometrics was done today 5/20 - in and out in less than 30 mins.

My Bio metrics are tomorrow.

I will take my appointment letter , passport , green card & my state drivers license

anything else ?

What is your guess as to when your interview will be ?

Based on previous months filers progress reports , i am guess mine will be around July - Aug.

Just want an update, I ended up walking in yesterday.

got my notice just today . Priority date Apr 25

Heidi - the same thing happened to me. I have my biometrics appointment on Thursday. I got the letter over a week ago, but I've had no updates online. No text or email, and my case status still just says they've received my application. Maybe they don't update with bio-metrics info?

Its not consistent. Someone folks get an emails some dont.

So, dont relay on emails.

Just got text that they have mailed my biometric notice. I hope I get it on Monday. They don't mention the date of biometric in online tracker,Do they ?

I just saw that timeframes for Honolulu are about 2.5 months from filing to interview, I sure hope it's not THAT fast. LOL We can't go in June or July.

How long does it take to charge your credit card ? My application was received on 22nd April, but my card is not charged yet !

Sometimes its charged but wont show up on your credit card account until the end of billing cycle.

It does not show up on my card. Only when i log into my credit card account and then click on unbilled transactions - it shows up as USCIS $680 Pending.

So its being routed to another location from Tx ? maybe my field office of Philadelphia ?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I talked to a Tier 2 officer. Apparently, I accidentally got two application# assigned to my case.

As the first one was processing the payment, the second one got issued and rejected as there was no G-1450 attached to it. Go figure, it got used for the first application in the system. I did get an email with the correct (first) application# and status showing that my I-797 will be send out. No receipt of that one in paper form as of yet though.

I was told to ignore the rejection letter (with the second application#) as it was an error on their side. Hopefully, this information is correct. I would not want to waist time waiting around just to have to send the application off at a later point because in the end, I am still holding half of my application (the duplicate) in my hand right now. They still have the other half, but not sure, if that Situation won't cause further delays down the road, if the process even continues to start with.

As I was one of the first ones to file this month and already am being fairly late on being charged, receiving correct I-797s and instead getting incorrect I-797s, I am not sure, this will be such a smooth ride for me afterall. The officer told me the back log is enormous right now and to expect an approximate timeline of 12 months from now to taking the oath. *sigh*

Hope you are all doing better.

Got my 10 year green card today.

I have plans to fly around the US in Oct.

Do i need to carry my green card with me at all times?

What about my Indian Passport ?

i got an email from USCIS :

It said :

On August 4, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXX and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What does this mean ?

we got our bio letter few days ago, its for 1/7/15
