Hey there I just want to asked if your fiancee brought with her a CENOMAR from NSO? Did they tell your fiancee what branch of government are they going to get verification documents?? Im sorry to hear your AR- I think you are under AR and hope you will have the visa in hand less than what they told you. I know one acquaintance of mine they had an AR but she got her visa within 2 weeks.

Yeah she did, they told her everything looked good when she was done with the interview......didn't ask if she was approved tho. I'm the one that talked to the Embassy a week later and they wouldn't give me any details. The one odd thing i remember when you ask me is the lady on the phone asked if my fiancee was planning on coming to the USA, i said yes and then she asked me if she planned to marry me when she got over there. Seems strange to ask me that a week after her interview.

When you guys call the embassy which one did you rather talk too? Ext. 5184 or 5185? Or does it even matter? I normally call 5184.

Oh Wind, so sorry to hear that. But don't worry too much about the reason for the AR. Your fiancee had some changes made in her birth certificate and the embassy just wants to make sure that everything was straight and legal. They will probably double check with both the LCR and the NSO (Philippine govt.) and once they’re satisfied that everything is above board, everything should be ok.

You know the problems we had with her BC, that's what worries me.....we couldn't get a new passport

wind at this point its being held up by the US government (there the ones that sent it out in the first place) you need to contact your local congressmans office ,and explain how long this has been ,and i strongly suggest you go there in person. i think you will find that 4 to 6 weeks will be very short when they get involved. everytime i call my government official it seems to fix the problem in under a week. the only time i couldnt get them to fix a problem was because it was a philippine issue that we paid off the required fee ( a big bribe) and it was fixed in a week. and you've seen my post since i started i may be loud an obnoxius , but i get it done. you an PW are the last of us old timers left if anyone one needs to make some noise its you and PW

I thought about that too but i've heard they won't do anything on a AR unless it went over the time limit. I'm still thinking about it tho. Anyone know who is best to contact in West Michigan?

PW, i'm not done so fast they didn't release my fiancee's visa So i called the embassy to find out why they didn't release it yet, she told me they sent the case to Philippine government to verify documents. She said it would take 4-6 weeks. She said it was something the officer noticed and wanted to verify. Kinda odd she asked me if she planned to come to USA and marry me. She said everyone goes thru the review, of course i said that doesn't make sense because i know people who have already received it around the same time she had her interview.

Not sure what it is, i know they asked her who the baby was in the family picture we took in the Philippines. Maybe the lady didn't believe her when she told her it was her sisters. I dunno what to do, seems like we get so close and then get it stripped away. Pretty rough times I dunno if that is considered AR or not, i worry why they would send the case to the Philippine government. I dunno.

I think we finally have good news. My fiancee said all the papers were correct and they didn't say anything about needing more documents. She never asked if she was approved like i told her she should, so i hope she did get approved. She told me she got a pink slip and payed Delbros, so i'm thinking she did. Going to get the full details tonight She went in at 6;30am and didn't get out until after 2pm i think She said she was interviewed by a big american female hehe.

I wonder how long it will take to send the visa to Bohol. Also hope the plane tickets aren't all sold out for mid-Sept.

I forgot to send my fiancee my original BC, she has a few copier copies i signed. I didn't even think about it until today. Hope it will be ok for the interview, it says copies should be fine....i dunno.

Passport is submitted to St. Lukes during your fiancées medical exam. They(St. Lukes) will be the one who will forward your fiancées passport together with her medical result to the Embassy.

Those aren't part of the K1. DS-156, DS-156k & DS-157 are. They must be for another (K3? or CR1?).

Those forms are for CR-1/IR-1. For K-1, the forms sent in her Packet 4 (DS-156, DS-157, DS-156K) are all she needs.

Yeah, i wouldn't think he wouldn't have to pay bandwidth. If he has a host it should have enough monthly usage i would think.(if he had a good one).

I am also waiting on Manila, but it looks like all the timelines are taking about 4 months from the time that Manila gets the package until the interview and visa is issued. The Manila Embassy is the slowest embassy in the world!, Oh lucky us!

The Medical is done at St Lukes there in Manila about 1 week before the interview, there is a hotle that is cheap accross the street.

I wouldn't complain to much, i don't think 4 months is the slowest but you should be thankful you didn't do it the end of last year. 6 months wait then, and more AR's.

My fiance got the packet, i guess they sent it like a month or so ago. Time is so slow these days

hi all! i hope you can help me out here...

I have read that a late registered BC has caused some problems to other girls. I have a late registered BC. I want to be prepared and bring supporting docs for the late registration on my interview. So far, these are the only ones that I thought of:

1. Negative certification of birth from NSO (Certificate of no record)

2. Baptismal Certificate

3. Certified true copy of my voter's registration record

Can you suggest any other documents that can be included in my supporting docs for the late registration?

Yeah I met my fiancee there to. I would never do that tour thing either LOL. There are some scammers on there for sure. Like some would hint "Oh I hope I can afford to go on the internet and talk to you more but we are so poor I may not be able to chat with you for awhile" Or another good one was "Oh I really wish you could call me, after her giving me her cell number, then the next day "oh i dropped my cell phone twice and now it doesn't work,I really want you to call me, I don't know what to do" LOL! Then I had a few come right out and ask me for money. But my Sheryl never asked me for a damn thing. Of course all that has changed now that we're getting married. I trust her and her family with my life.

My fiancee still won't ask me for money even if she needs it for the Visa process, very ashamed about it.

i personally think this is someone with an axe to grind , but its worth reading. the girl in question that was banned works for the condo place, and introduced me to Yove ,and Yove never used CB before.

Last time i used CB was like sept 2004. I agree she seems to have a axe to grind but some things she says are true, i wouldn't go on a tour to Manila where it's mostly bar girls...we all know what "bar girls" mean There were a lot of girls on there that would text you, they were pretty pushy on info and getting together.

I hate reading that stuff, because even tho i trust my fiancee i did meet her on there and it puts thoughts into your head. I was going to post that Orbitz doesn't do flights to the US but they changed it. I tried about 4 months ago and they didn't, but i tried today and it's a pretty good price.

It took my fiancee like 15 min in Cebu to get a NBI clearance. Police clearance is from the other countries your wife stayed at for 6 months or more.

You will, however, be required to submit a vaccination supplement with our adjustment of status application. The vaccination supplement must be completed by a designated civil surgeon.

I'm confused on this, maybe i should be asking the AOS forum but since it's brought up i'll ask a question Unless i'm reading this wrong doesn't this mean under the K-1 visa we don't need to goto a USCIS civil surgeon? Or at least not a exam.

questions on taking an early medical appointment...

-is the Manila Embassy local number + ext. 5184, the number to call to let them know that we're gonna have an early medical and that we'll pick up our packet 4 @ St. Luke's? if so, do we let them know the date? he already booked a flight for July 18-20.

-also, other than passport, ID and visa pictures (2)...what else must my fiance take with him to St. Luke's?

-so, my understanding is...if you take an early medical, you can't schedule the date and time...so all he can do is go to St. Luke really, really early and take a number? how long is the entire medical appointment?

- can he go back early the next day for results and vaccinations? how long does that take? he wants to catch the earliest flight out of Manila, (the airport is not that far from St. Luke's i think.)

-also i'm trying to look for that link re: contents of packet 4...i'll scan through the pages but if you have it on hand please post when you can.

You can ask them to just send your packet to the Medical Center and then just bring ID, some kind of proof that you have a K-1, the NOA2 or something like that. It's first come first serve is what they told us, it takes 2 days and they send the info to the Embassy. As far as i know you can't get the results, they send them to the Embassy in a week or two. Ask PW or someone.

Just curious, what's the hurry on the medical and where is he flying to when it says your interview is in Sept.

i did read it somewhere regarding drug use...that it will result in a ban.

i was just curious because we know someone who applied for a tourist visa and passed his medical even though he smoked pot a week before his medical. i guess they do not do drug testing or at least he said NO when asked that question. all i know is he's been in the states since April.

we're not seriously concerned about current drug use. i was actually asking about smoking pot like back in college and if that should be considered.

If it's been years i would say no, if it's been in the last 6 months they would prolly find it.(depending on the test) I would telll them if so, not sure why anyone would use any Illegal substance tho knowing a interview date is coming up Hehe, i read a lot of people didn't make it past the medical/interview because of that.

I called the embassy of manila today and they told me that they received the application last june 20 so I still need to wait 120-150 days... Arrrgh...

Be thankful, they have gotten better this year by a month or two it seems.

We ask to be taken off of postponement and given a new interview date, they gave us Sept 1st so we are happy. Hopefully everything will be set by then. That should give us plenty of time.
