  1. I'm starting to fill up my form I-134 form, I was wondering in question # 2... where it ask the date that I reside in the US. Do I put the date that I became a permanent resident in the US (which is on my certificate of naturalization) or do I put the date when I first arrive to the US as a immigrant?

  2. I'm going to be sending my FIANCE in the Philippines all the supporting documents he need for the interview in a few months... So I was wondering how did you all send those documents and if you or your other half encountered any problems?

I'm a bit insecure because there's important papers in there like tax returns and important information such as SSN, etc.

  3. Hello :)

I'm a female Filipino petitioner and my FIANCE is in the Philippines. I too also wonder how the experience is for other female petitioners. Me my FIANCE are also the same age 24...hehe btw my FIANCE still is trying to obtain his passport, he turned in his application on his first trip to lucena but they made him wait and nothing. Then he went back for a 2nd trip to lucena city and nothing again, just waiting the whole entire day. It makes me worry because he needs his passport soon. What should he do. Does lucena city have that appointment system like Manila? They told him to return in 2 weeks.

  4. My FIANCE just went to LUCENA CITY yesterday to apply for a passport and still had to wait? It's already been his 2nd trip to the DFA in LUCENA and still nothing. All he did was wait and wait. What should he do? He needs to apply for a passport and soon. He has all required documents but what is causing the delay there?

  5. You are required to fill out DS-230 part 1 and part 2? I was only required to fill out part 1 (South Korea). However, I do not see any negative aspect of him needing assistance with the form. I fill out all the forms for my then-fiance and stated so on any forms asking if assistance was needed.

Thank you so much for replying. Yeah, Im helping him fill out his papers before I send it to him because I know for sure he will be completely lost..... This can also confuse me too and he has no computer access unless he goes to a friends house or a computer cafe. I want to make it simple for him.

  6. hey guys,

So, I decided to assist my fiance on filling up the DS 230 form for him just to prepare ourselves. Anyway, I was wondering if I should put my name and information in that question (44. Were you assisted in completing this application?), is it a bad thing for me to assist my fiance in the Philippines on his application? or should I just let him fill it out himself, I know he needs help with the paper work. Do the immigration people care if they recieved assistance in filling it out?

  7. Hey guys,

I was just curious... I submitted my fiancé petition, planning that I will have a simple civil marriage here in Hawaii when all this goes through since I have family & friends here in Hawaii and I grew up here most of my life.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to fly back to the philippines after the green card and stuff and have a catholic church wedding if front of our family and friends?

Also is there gonna be any special requirement needed like going to the US embassy and such? I would think not because me and my fiancé will already be married legally by then in the states. But, I just wanted to know.

Also it would be my dream come true wedding because it would be in the church that me and my fiancé were baptized in :)

  8. Sent mines out on MAY 31, 2011... Still waiting for my ammended NOA1.

What happen was that USCIS misspelled my first name on the hard copy and I called for it to be fixed and it's been over a month that I'm still waiting for them to send me a fixed and corrected NOA1.

Instead of following my application spelling of my first name "Lara" they instead Spelt it "Laura".

  9. I submitted 3 pics on my medical last week.. im not sure if he can have his medical without his passport.. they always ask for your passport there at saint lukes :) on interview, i think we will need 2 pics.. im not sure.. im bringing more than 2 on my interview this coming thursday :)

Ok... Thank you.. I'll just let him know to obtain a new passport photo when he applies for his passport and get 3 more copies. Anyway good luck :) *exciting*

  10. I was wondering what else do I need to send to my fiancé regarding the I-134 - affidavit of support?

    3. Employment letter
