I recently got my I-129f petition approve and now I'm waiting for MANILA EMBASSY to mail the letter to my FIANCE in PI. I have the MNL case number. Anyway I have a bunch of questions I needed to be clarified.

1. Does MANILA embassy send out a PACKET 3?

2. Do my fiance need to make copies of his passport biographic data page and submit a checklist signed and a signed DS 230 part I?

3. Do K1 visa need a DS 230 for Manila?

4. What is a DS 160 and does MANILA need it?

Yeah i could relate on your frustrations my fiance just applied for his passport too in DFA lucena today and was advised that the passport will be deliverd to him by oct 3. Thank God i we dont need to rush off since we dont have the approval yet we just try to gather all the necessary documents before the NOA2 gods willing by 3rd week of october. he also applied for NBI but unbelievably was advised that he can get it by 3rd week of october. it was really frustrating if you are running on a timetable. goodluck and godbless on the rest of your journey.. keep the faith... you are getting there.

I'm so thankful for having my visa approve and my Case number available. I also got my vacation request for late October and my flight booked. I just pray that I get to bring home my FIANCE home with me .... I just wished that this passport will not stop us from continuing our visa or delay our visa process.

NO. he needs his passport number before he can make an appointment at the embassy and also needs his passport for the medical exam so you must wait.

My fiance just applied for his Philippines passport and he expidite it. They said the earliest for him to recieve the passport is OCTOBER 5, 2011 and that latest is OCTOBER 29, 2011. Would it be possible for the US EMBASSY/MANILA CONSULATE allow my fiance to turn in his PACKET 3 without his photocopy of his passport and also schedule his appointment later in October after he recieve his passport?.

Yes, generally your salary would be what you state as your current income. It is NOT your current year income. If you get a raise next month to $72,574, that will be your NEW current income effective the day the raise is effective. If you get fired next month your new current income at least for that day will be $0.

This is incorrect as well. It's line 22 in most cases from a 1040 form which IS "total income". AGI is only used if using a 1040EZ to file taxes. HOWEVER, the figure from the last tax return never goes on an I-134 unless the sponsor is self-employed. You've got a lot of things confused. May I suggest you read more on this subject and learn about it before posting more misinformation? Please?

No. The I-134 asks for current annual income. That's your gross.

Oh ok... So my Emplyment letter stated "salary: $68,736"

I guess that would be my annual income not my gross since gross would mean me having to work my salary plus any other overtime I put in... Right??

I did mines on my own and got it approve in 67 days with no RFE

Forgot to mention, the amount they are setting is Adjusted Gross Income or AGI. Not annual income. Think it's line 22 on a US1040 tax return. Jim.

How come the I-134 form ask for annual income... Isn't it the same as adjusted gross?

I picked up my employer letter and I will make a letter stating that I been in school during those tax return years. I also have several recent pay stubs and recent checking and saving account bank statements. I just need my bank letters which I'll try to obtain.

They do need your three years of tax transcripts but from what I've seen ..they look at the past years but consider the last one the most important of previous earnings... 2010 so your way above in 2010 and in this current year they also look at closely so your way above in 2011 so you are fine....

so in other words considering yoru above poverty in 2010 and the current year.....no need for joint sponsor...

Thank you for your quick reply... I was worried about my 2008 & 2009 tax returns and I had no idea what it meant for 125% above poverty line. Anyway I'm still waiting on my case number from NVC.

I was wondering if I need a joint sponsor.

My 2008 & 2009 tax reruns were below $12,000 due to me being in college full time and working a part time job. I graduated from a university in 2009 and got a successful fulltime job afterwards. My 2010 tax return is about $40,000 but this year annual income is now $68,000 ... Can I sponsor my FIANCE?

The poverty line in HAWAII is $21,162. I'm not sure how this 125% works.

K1 petition approved on AUG 8, 2011 at CSC... STILL WAITING for my NVC Case # .... praying for it soon.

My FIANCE travel 6 hours to Manila to start waiting in line since 3am at NBI and he was told to go back to NBI on aug 22 to release his papers and to show proof since his name was very common and there was 6 other people with the same name.. #######... Don't they just use his middle name and birthday... I think they just want money...Aggghhh so frustrated. He needs to get his passport soon.

I called... They told me to call tomorrow since it has not been 30 days since the last service request which they had to correct my first name on the NOA1. Now they have to correct my FIANCE middle initial on my NOA2.

So fricken irritated at USCIS... I Received my NOA2 in the mail and this time my name is Spelt correct, but my FIANCE name is Spelt wrong.. Where the #### did they get XXXXX C. XXXXX... correction is XXXXX O. XXXXX & my application was correct. 2nd time they had a typo error on my NOA's...

Did any of u experience this? I can't correct until after 30 days since my last service request of the first typo which they Spelt my first name wrong in the NOA1.

Police clearance is the pre-requisite docs for you to get the NBI clearance, therefore it is not the same.

I receive good news through my email and it stated my I-129F - Petition for FIANCE visa is approve. So now what? What should I do now or what should my FIANCE in the philippines do?

Hehe.. I just travel to PHILIPPINES and have my FIANCE sign the papers...hehe atleast I got to go on vacation and spend 2 weeks with him again )
