  1. Hello everyone.

Just wanted to start a new topic on recent filers for I-130 (IR-1/CR-1) to track each other's status. Maybe we can help each other out as we are going through the longgggggggggggg visa journey. My husband is from Lebanon...Always missing my omre. (L)

  2. no, i didnt provide documents like chat, phone... with I130.. Here u can c instruction how to file I130 and what to provide with it.

    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-130instr.pdf

ofcourse, i sent with I130 marriage certificate and birth cert. passport photocopy,....

Thank you for responding. I've seen so much information that people included with their I-130 packet. I have everything that's requested, but thought it may be good to send some chat records and emails to show that we are still in an on-going marriage/relationship.

  3. Hi All,

I'm about to file the I-130 and was wondering if any of you provided documentation of your communication logs (chat, phone, text msgs, etc) with your petition? I have so much documentation of this sort - over 1,000 pages.

Is it okay to send the documentation printed on both sides?

I'm filing tomorrow, so your speedy response will be greatly appreciated.

    Josie

  4. Here is a link to an template for the affidavit:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/143129-affidavits-template/

I recommend that the USC family or friends do the affidavits who are also USC.

My husband and I were recently married when we filed so we didnt have joint property/bank accounts etc either. I did have a permit to drive his car and joint car insurance from a trip to the US. I also included 2 sworn affidavits from both my parents, who had met my husband a few times and were at the wedding. Wedding pictures are good, pictures at different stages of the relationship, copies of postmarked envelopes from letters to each other, copies of passport showing entry into spouses country. This is exactly what I included, had zero problems and an NOA2 in 11 weeks:)

Hope that helps and the best of luck on your journey!!

I take it that you had affidavits from your family as well as his family, is that correct? Are you the USC residing with your spouse in Argentina? Thank you for responding and providing additional information. Good luck on your journey as well.

  5. Need some help please. I'm filing the I-130 for my spouse who lives in Lebanon. As part of the I-130, USCIS wants documentation to show that we are in a bona fide marriage such as a lease showing joint tenancy, co-mingling of finances, joint ownership of property, sworn affidavits affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of our marriage or other relevant documentation to establish an ongoing marital union.

My husband lives in Lebanon and has never been to the United States, therefore, we do not have shared property, bank accounts, etc. I am preparing the third party affidavits, however, I don't know if these affidavits should come from my friends and family or do I also need affidavits from my husband's friends?

As far as "other documentation" to establish an ongoing marital union, what might anyone suggest?

  6. Hello All,

My wife's interview is scheduled for May 26th. Any one with experience and/or advice for the Beirut, Lebanon embassy that can offer info is greatly appreciated. Experience with the interviewer, questions, atomosphere, whether or not they notify you immediatly of result, etc. Any and all info please!

    Hi,

I have been reading all the posts in this forum and found it very helpful and hope that people will continue to post their status and updates.

Here is my dilemma, hopefully it's not. I'm from the US and I recently got married in Cyprus to a wonderful man from Lebanon. He's never been to the US, but I have gone to visit him in Lebanon 3 times and we went to Cyprus when we got married. I plan on going back to Lebanon to visit him in November...unsure on how long this process will take to get him to the US but we miss each other so much. The trips are costly, but well worth it. You can place a monetary value on true love.

I'm filling out the I-130 which also requires the both of us to fill out the G-325A which is the Biographic information. I'm hoping to mail out the I-130 petition this week. I also noted the other documents that needs to accompany the I-130. However, the only thing that we can provide to prove our marriage is a bona fide marriage are affidavits from my friends and family and my spouse can provide affidavits from his friends. Unfortunately, his religion does not allow for him to marry outside of his religion so that is why we got married in Cyprus. His family does not know that we are married as this would lead to his family disowning him. I don't know if this will be an issue. Has anyone experienced this before? Since we live in 2 different countries, we don't have any joint properties, financial accounts, ect.

Since we both live in different countries, there are more challenges that I'm sure we will have to face. Unfortunately, middle eastern countries tend to be more harsh than others. Has anyone experienced this. If so, can you tell me your process on how you were successful with getting your spouse to the US?

Where did the interview take place with the consular? At the American Embassy?

    Thank you!!!

  7. Hello everyone,

I haven't been too active here, but I used to visit this site when I was going through the visa process with my Iraqi husband. It was a great resource several years ago during the days of immigration timelines and long waits and uncertainties. We had a very difficult visa journey, but my husband is now here and he's filing to remove conditions and thankfully everything turned out well.

I'm posting to see if anyone here may be interested in a yahoo group for American women marrying Iraqi men. I created a group to share experiences and lend support after thinking recently how I've never met other American woman married to Iraqis (with the exception of a few ladies here a few years ago who were just starting their visa journeys). If you're interested in joining such a group, feel free to visit:

    Website: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/American_Iraqi_Wife/

Or send an e-mail to: American_Iraqi_Wife-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

    Best wishes!

Hello, it's good to hear that you were successful on getting your spouse to the US.

  8. I'm hoping for middle to late October for POE for Kinnari.... I hope it comes true.

I pray that the date for Kinnari to enter the US comes soon. My husband is in Lebanon and it's so hard for the both of us to be so far apart. We talk every day using all different kinds of methods..messenger, texts, phone calls, etc. He has never been to the US, but I have gone to Lebanon 3 times to see him and to Cyprus, where we got married. I'm thinking our journey may take a long time so I'm already planning to go see him in November. I'm filing the I-130 this week. Hope all goes well. Good luck to you and keep posting your journey.

  9. I'm an April Filer, too!!! So glad to have others starting the process around the same time. My I-130 for my husband was received on 4/15 and USCIS emailed me today (4/19) to let me know that the petition is headed to the CA service center. Yay!

Good luck everyone and keep us all updated along the way.

Wishing you the best of luck. I recently got married and will be sending out the I-130 this week. My husband lives in Lebanon.

  10. The date you petition was officially scanned into the USCIS system. It should be printed on your NOA1/I-797C.

Lets hope I can get thru there in 45 days or less. The key part (in my opinion) is to get the file scanend into the system. Depending on how long that can take it you can fly being that you have all your docs and payment ready to go at a momements notice...

Thank you for explaining the priority date. :)
