We had a very easy approval today. We had an 12:45pm appointment, and arrived at 12:15. We had to wait till about 12:45-1:00pm for our interview. She swore us in, confirmed my wife name / address. She asked when her last entry into the country, which was 2 days before. We got back from a cruise but they did not process her with her AP. She said that was normal with the cruises.
She asked her the questions in her I-485 form. She made copies of our drivers license and she asked that if we knew about the ROC in 2 years. We said yes, and got our txt that are green card was in production a couple hours after we left. She never looked at our paperwork that we brought.
We were in our interview in less than 10 minutes. -
We got a txt stating our interview is scheduled for March 24. We are happy to finally be over this process.

We got our Biometrics appt letter for 12/1/14 today, but we are going to be out of town on that date. We are going to go on Monday or Tuesday this week here in Atlanta to get it done. We still have not received our original NOA's in the mail but did get our biometrics...very strange.
-
have you received them now?
i filled on 10-30-2014 and i just got my email notification, so i am waiting on the hard copies now.. says i should give them 7-10 days.
i got my email notification last night. hopefully i get hard copies soon.
Nope I have not yet to receive them. I hope to get them any day now.

We filed our documents on 10/31/14 and got our txts on 11/7/14. We have yet to get our NOA1 documents or biometrics in the mail yet. I hope we get them in a couple of days.

Will there be any change from checking CEAC when it has left the NVC? We got our case number on Monday but it still says "at NVC". I know how to track it on DHL, but will it change on CEAC?
-
I received our case number from the NVC yesterday and when I check CEAC it states that it is "at NVC". However when I check DHL I saw a package to Kiev today, what are the odds that it was shipped out today or should I see a "in transit" when it leaves the NVC or should I call to ask if it was shipped?
-
That's ok,you don't need to be sorry!
unfortunately we are still at the NVC but it's only one week after our approval,think we will call them next Monday,i guess they didn't assign it yet.
But as about case statue,I guess it depends really because of the Center!
Any way, keep my fingers crossed hope to hear smth soon.
Wish you good luck with the embassy.
Thanks
Hey Inna and Chris our Visa was approved by TSC on the same day 6/30/14 and we are both in Ukraine. I am going to call Wednesday to the NVC to see if they have recieved our paperwork yet. I am not sure if you recieved anything but we got a notice from TSC that they sent our approval to NVC on Wednesday 7/2/14. It has been adventure so far, and we are both ready for her to move here.

Thanks. I did put in an e-request last week, but took someone's advice to just put December 2013 as the receive date. My e-request was accepted, and I got back a response saying I should get a status update by middle of July. Instead of getting that update, I received the NOA2. I wonder if I will still get some response back about the e-request.
This is what I did and I got my approval as well. I just put in 12/01/13 as the recieve date in on my e-request on 6/22, and got my NOA2 yesterday 6/30.
-
You are correct it is January 17 not June 17 for my NOA1. June 17 is actually my birthday so it was on my mind.
-
Well we got the lucky email and txt today as our visa was finally approved by TSC. Our NOA1 was on June 17. I put in a E-Request in back on the 22nd, and I emailed my senator on the 25th.I am not sure what did it but I wanted to give you some hope that this long nightmare is almost over. Good luck to everyone and just hang in there it will be over soon.
-
J...what did you tell them when you filed for your expedite? I sent a letter to my senator asking for you based on what Brian stated earlier. While we do not have kids I stated similar things to them. I have not heard anything yet. I thought maybe going through my senator route it may be better.
-
I just did the same thing today, however i submitted a letter to my local senator. I hope to hear something soon from them. I opened a request by calling USCIS and they denied it back in Feburary when things were very bad in Kiev. I am at TSC and things are very slow right now.

Receipts are new applications they reecieved during that month. If you highlight on the left it tells you what that means.
-
dashboard.uscis.gov Just have to select 129-F and the Service Center.
-
If you go to the Dashboard on USCIS, you can tell the amount of applications that have recieved has gone up at TSC while the number of approvals as gone down. It seems they are not working on them that much. Hopefully they will clearout the backlog soon. They only approved 1,600 applications in Janurary and still have 5,600 pending and going up. If you look at CSC they approved 2,100 applications with only 2,600 pending. This is why CSC is moving so quickly.

So what did specify this time to get your expediate approved?
-
Let us know what happens with your expediate. I requested one two weeks ago on the 19th when everything was crazy in Kiev, they denied it. The letter came back saying:
Although your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need, which must meet one of the following criteria:
*Severe financial loss to company or individual;
*Extreme emergent situation;
*Humanitarian situation;
*Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
*U.S. Department of Defense or national interest situation (Note: Request must come from an official U.S. Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government);
*USCIS error; or
*Compelling interest of USCIS.They did not tell me how to give them this information.
-
That is strange Felix I called for an expediate and mine got denied for Ukraine. I am not sure what you said to them, or the reasons.
-
There are talk of a state of emergeny in Ukraine now, so she is try to go to another city in the west but we shall see. I hope USCIS wil see what is going on in Ukraine and they can put it on th tope of the phile.
-
Yes my Fiancee lives a little outside of the city, and she says that the Subway isnt working. She works very close to Maidan and they have completly closed the metro. She is suppose to go to Ternopil to visit her family this weekend but they said they are stopping all trains coming from the west. She is concerned about trying to get back to Kiev. All I can do is ask for an expediate and all they can do is say no. I am more concerned about her safety then probably her.
-
I put in my case number, and then it asked me if I wanted to speak to a customer service representative.
-
I just opened an expediate request on my K1 visa beacuse she lives in Kiev and with everything going on Kiev. She is scared of everything going on, and the city is basically locked down.

They really did not say much..just that you will get a response in 5 days. She did not sound very optimisitc but then again they are robots over there when you talk to them. When you have the city you live in in a lockdown situation what other sitation is there?
Cruise to Bahamas with EAD/AP
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
When my wife came back from a cruise, all they did was look at here EAD / AP card and did not even process it. Her maiden name is her passport, her card is in her married name. I booked her cruise in her passport name just like plane tickets, but they changed her name to her EAD / AP card. They consider that a GC in their system. When we got back into Miami they just looked her card and did not even do anything in the computer. We had her GC interview 2 days later and they asked her to confirm her last entry into the US. We stated about the cruise and they just looked at her card and let us through. They say that is normal with so many people with the card.
