  1. MY fiance lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

We have our appointment next week and my Fiance went to pay the Citibank fee for our K1 they, said now we have to have a boleto from the consulate website. However we could not find the form!

We even went to the new site that they are using to schedule and process visa applications, however there is no option for a K1 it says that only non-immigrant visas can be handled through the site. And it says you need a ds-160 and to schedule an appointment and etc. Has anyone else had this issue? what did you do? I am so confused!

We got our packet the first week of April. And there is nothing about this.

she can pay the fee in the consulate in rio on the day of her interview.

  2. I am not so good, I can't believe our NOA1 is October 14 and so many people with later NOA1 dates have been approved. Is like they completely skipped the 14, cause no one else with the 14th has been approved either. :crying::bonk:

    hang in there

your NOA2 is on the way

    :)

Hey thanks for asking about us fellow Oct 2011 filers. There are still some of us that are patiently waiting for an announcement from the CSC.......

Wishing everyone good fortune on their visa journey .

Last year Vermont was the one with the delay in approvals.

Wishing you all get your NOA2s soon

    :)

  3. Hey everyone!

So I'm a bit confused. I know after my K1 petition is approved, it is sent to the NVC and then forwarded the the US Consulate, in my case, in Rio de Janeiro. Anyhow, I have seen posts about people getting interview dates from the NVC once they have their case number... I know that Rio sends out their interview dates in the packet to the applicant, but is this date coming from the NVC?

NVC will give you your RDJ number which is your case number in Rio. After about 7 days after you got your RDJ# you can send an email to the embassy in Rio to ask if they scheduled your interview yet or not.

They'll mail a letter (packet 4) with the interview date to the beneficiary's address in Brazil, but that may never arrive... so I recommend that you email them and ask.

    good luck!

  4. each adjudicator processes applications in the order that they receive them. the problem is that some work fast and some work slow... some go on vacation and some get sick. while it is frustrating to see someone who filed after you get approved first... it does mean that your file stays with one person rather than getting passed around the office and things going missing

thank you! that's a good way of explaining this BS...

I just hate the waiting and seeing that people who filed after us are already approved is horrible.

    ugh
