My fiance and i are getting ready to start the k1 process. I am concerned about being denied since i am 19 years older than him, and my divorce from my previous marriage of 22 years was not finalized yet when we started our relationship. (the relationship was the reason for the divorce) I have gone to visit him twice in Romania and we recently spent a week on holiday together in Mexico. We have skyped everyday for the past year - we have photos from our visits and skype logs. Our relationship is legitimate but I am concerned because of the age difference and my divorce that we will be denied. Does anyone have any insight on how the CO in Bucharest might view this and if we have any chance of getting a k1?

Can you give me more information as to why u suggest that instead of k1 or k3? Is it faster or easier?

My boyfriend and I met almost a year ago on a medical mission trip. He is a resident of Romania. I have visited Romania twice. My last trip was to spend a week with him in march. We have photos of us together. He was denied a visitors visa twice to come see me. I am planning on going to visit him again in July. We have decided we want to get married. What would be our best route to take? Originally i was going to apply for the k1 but we are concerned we maybe denied since he was denied the tourist visa twice. Now, we are considering getting married in Romania on my next visit and then applying for the k3. Any suggestions on what would be best?
