    now suffering in a living hell. passport returned. with denial that application expired. yet dos says case pending just got email from vfs case is pending per embassy yesterday same damn day passport returned. do they enjoy breaking hearts and

    ok just over 2 months and passport is being sent via courier.. but no one can tell us anything dept of state says call next friday, vfs has no idea as usual.. the suspense is killing me!!!

      Oh gosh...is he going to wait for courier or go to VFS and retrieve it? Update us ASAP when you know!

    Why do i even check VFS track your passport site? somehow I think there will be something new there each time I check..

      I check several times a day even though I know they only update on Tues and Fri and by the time I'm up, they're closed and not updating anyway. I guess it just makes me feel better.

    hey feel free to email me any questions.. I am not sure how mumbai consulate works with interracial couples with age differences... I only know abt Delhi.. but sill feel free to email questions or concerns.. seeing our situations are similar!

      Awwww thats so nice.. you rock !! seriously.. when this is all over we are going to meet in chicago and have a celebration dinner downtown!!! I know a few perfect places... I appreciate all the encouragement and support.. its so funny.. yash asks about you guys all the time because you guys share our struggle... we'll make it.. both of us.

      We are definitely looking forward to a night out on the Chi-town! I hope you guys get a resolution soon. It sucks to think of not spending the holidays together. Dipu can't get here until January so now I'm stuck planning a January wedding...yuck.

      Sherry is the "I" on this site. She is older. I think if you are from Mumbai, you will interview in Mumbai not New Delhi. The cases I have been referencing where interracial K1 couples have had issues are all New Delhi. I don't know of any recent sample couples you could follow from Mumbai. However, Mumbai is the embassy with the embassy review that talks about calling the fiance's family in India. You should definitely read the embassy reviews for the past two years there.

    oh it helps that they lost our pkt 3 in the mail and we had to get it mailed also, did I mention this process sucks?

    oh it took like 2-3 weeks to get pkt 4 and we had to email and call VFS to death! they emailed it to us FINALLY!!!!! I got this advice frm one of the members on this board, its nuts I hate this whole process.. as much as I love india.. this VFS is not very helpful. hope that helps!!
