Hello all,
So I'm flying to Jamaica on March 19th to spend a week with my fiance and meet his family. I've never been to Jamaica before so I'm not sure of general do's and don'ts in the country. Also anyone have suggestions on fun things to do while I'm there. I love food and I'm always looking for great restaurants. According to my fiance, we can go anywhere on the island that I would like to go.
Also as a side note, if anyone is wondering why I haven't been to JA before. My fiance works on a cruise ship in West Palm Beach, Florida which is about 3 hours from my house which is located near Tampa, Florida. He's going on vaction next week to visit his family in JA for a month, so I decided to take a week off from work to go down and meet my future in-laws while he is there. Also I have asked him if there are any culture differences I should be aware of and he told me to just be myself. This was not the answer I was looking for. So if anyone has any information in that area, please let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks Dan and Jenni already did that and did what they requested, was just trying to get an idea of what the different embassies do and how the filers respond.
-
Our info was sent to embassy nd received on 2/2 just curious why we have received nothing.
-
Sept filers that have been approved, how long did it take to get interview date if you have received.
-
So you received a response 5 days later. I am curious why they have not replied to me.
-
Okay lets get all of my September brethern and sisters approved. Be ready afeter approval this goes FAST! It took 12 days to get to our consulate so now we are waiting on interview shoulld have within next 7-10 days or sooner...so be ready especially if you plan to attend interview. GODSPEED and good luck!

Thank you everyone.. CSC time is coming... trust and believe.

I can settle, whiteout is allowed. I had so much whiteout on my form in the address section you could literally scratch it off and they accepted it. I was approved for my NOA2 today.
-
APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am ecstatic... Praying for you that are with CSC.. Your time soon come!
-
Congrats! WOW! How awesome I am so happy for you...
-
We will find out cause I used it on my form on the advice of alawyer. I have the clean copy ready in case we receive an RFE but I was told you can use it. I do agree as someone who works with the federal government you are not allowed to use whiteout on your documents. As the poster said, you are suppose to put a line through it and date and initial it. So we will see.
-
ww, lookin at my paperwork, I see at least three mistakes the fiance made on his g325a and at least one I made on mind. I am hoping they will be past on but if not, then I expect an RFE shucks.. just hope they hurry up whichever they do.
-
Yeah, definitely a waiting game. Headed out to see my HTB on Feb 2, would love to give him the news and would love to have some forms signed etc... we will see.

I anticipate the the VSC is about to help the CSC out now.. they are just too far behind.
-
I just commented on one of your posts in another forum... see your packet was at the bottom of the lockbox... Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
-
just wait until you start seeing people get approved that filed a month after you... now that is hard lol
Yea Im sure it is Dan.. you have been patiently and actively waiting , your time soon come...
-
Watching all of these Sept approvals and not seeing yours is HARD!! But I am encouraged because I have seen more approvals than RFEs....
-
Which service center are you at, you put Texas down in your profile but that is just the dropbox? Are you Vermont or California? Judging by your reaction you must be VSC...
I know it says Texas, however if you are in my profile/timeline it says VSC. I have looked everywhere to see why I cant change it on the outside. I am with VSC and my timeline reflects it. thanks!
-
The Igor list on VJ is completely wrong. For VSC, it has me at position 120, and in reality I am in the 30s. I wouldn't go by this list for those wondering where they "stand"...
Congrats! See told you Igors was not down :0) Sometimes it just takes longer but you got it!
Blessings the rest of your journey!

Sept! It looks like the VSC is picking up some speed. I am getting so excited I hope everyone keeps their timelines updated.
-
I think if you originally received your NOA1 in July, you may want to call and do a status check. As for being in the number 30 the apps are processed random, no one has a number so to say.
-
Correct you do not use it to determine where you are in line because you can be 1 and someone who is 150 will be processed before you. You use it to have an idea what dates they are workin on.
-
How can you see who's approved? Igor's list is down for me. Mind posting the link you're using?

Here is the link. My fear is that the CSC is really falling behind, I am sure pretty soon the VSC will stop and start helping them to catch up and then VSC will be held up.
Going to Jamaica to meet his family... Any Advice will be appreciated.
