  1. Wow, you are going to have a long road ahead of you especially with no family support, feel free to contact me if you ever need someone to talk to. This is a long and tedious journey. I get through it because I have such a supporting family. I don't know what I would do without them so I cant imagine not having their support. But stay in prayer and if its meant to me cant nobody (not even family) stop God).

Inbox if you need to talk.

  2. You can have a separate mailing address. There is a question that will ask you what address you all will be residing at so that could help the answers.

On a separate note, I think that if you truly love him and this marriage is happening regardless of anyone thoughts or opinions; you need to sit your parents down and be honest. Sneaking around is not going to help your situation. You have to marry him within 90 days of getting here, so waiting until the last minute to spring him on your parents and then them having an awful reaction is not fair to your man.

I understand the trust issues and EVRYTHING you are going through.

  3. I have been speaking with the courts on this issue, here in Florida and if you awarded custody, you are only required to have your passport. As long as the child is traveling with one parent, that is all that matters. If he is not traveling with a parent then the notarized letter is required

This was of great interest to me since my child is traveling with me and her father has never been involved.

  4. What price range, how many rooms, condo unit or not, all inclusive or not? I would recommend looking on the beach road, not the cliffs with kids - Some suggestions - Yellowbird, Hidden Paradise, Negril Beach Club Condos, Legends, Footprints, Seawind -

Not really a price range because there will be kids so want them to have fun. Going thorough this process and the amount of money we are spending, i do want something reasonable. I will look these locations up. I do not want all inclusive because I want my daughter to experience the culture. Thanks about the cliffs... not sure if I want a condo unit or not.. they is a possibility.

I was just going over a comment a posted and see that you asked a question about K1 visa payment. I just responded, but you may not see it. Yes, you have to pay $350 for the K1 visa and that is money which is different from the meds and vaccinations fee.

OMG... I thought that was what I paid for. WOW! Good thing I am getting a raise... lol

  5. I used a little bit of all these things in the packet. I put in pictures with his kids to show our relationship was know to my family and his. I sent letters from a friend and a letter from a relative to show that they are aware of the relationship. I sent receipts to show we were not just in the room. I sent boarding passes and passport. I also sent a copy of my knot wedding page to show we are planning a wedding. Altogether, I sent 5 pics of him, I, kids and Jamaica altogether.

While I am not using a lawyer, I am consulting one for help and she advised me you need to show them that there is a relationship AND that you have met in two years. Lots of photos do not show both so balance out what you give them.

  6. Hey Everyone! Planning a trip to see the darlin in Jan. Can you give me some good clean locations in Negril. We usually stay in Kingston but thought I would treat him and the kids to a vacation. It has to be a place that will accept kids as it will be our kids first time meeting.

    Thanks.

  8. You stated 350 for the interview, am I missing something? I did not know they had to pay for the VISA interview, I do not see that listed anywhere. I am just curious because, I am planning a trip for Christmas and with saving for the AOS, (when that time comes) the budget is getting tighter and tighter.

    Please advise. Thanks.
