Hi VJ friends!
I am hoping someone can educate me... My Fiance and I just completed our interview in the Bahamas last week Wednesday. We were basically told they need to review our case further and requested more information from my fiance. He asked if once he gets the documents they requested if he can bring them in, he was told no - wait till we call you. My concern here is that my I-129F petition for my fiance expires June 24, 2011. That is 3 weeks away!!
I would think that the consulate would extend the petition being that they are still reviewing, but you know what they say when you assume. Does anyone know how I can find out if the embassy will just let it expire with USCIS, or will they extend the date? I consulted an attorney yesterday and he told me that they would probably let it expire - but I don't know if he was just saying that so I would retain him...
Any help/info is GREATLY appreciated!!
dont worry about it dear.we are on the same boat hehehe.i was interviewed last may 24,2011..7 days before the I-129F expires.
the consul told me that our visa is approved but in order for them to complete the process for our visa i need have to submit an nbi that has an aka thing.and hummmm my name got hit at the nbi and they told me that my clearance will be released on the 17th of june.on which as of my fiancee's timetable..that 17th should be the released of our visa.it sucks though bcoz my fiancee is ready to buy our ticket and yet still waiting on the nbi and then i dont know how many days will i wait for our visa when i send my nbi and our passports.
the consul given me this 221g form.and he checked the need have to send both passports and nbi to the embassy then will wait 2weeks for my visa.

Can you please give me some or full idea on what documents that I need to bring with me when I go for my interview in US Embassy here in Manila, I already have it with me but I just want to make sure that I have everything that they need, so that I will not lack anything.
Your response will be highly appreciated.. Thank you so much....God bless.
you can bring anything that you think will be needed for the interview. no matter how complete the documents we have..it all depends on the consul who will gonna interviewed us...just like on my own experienced..on my last interview with my daughter...
i thought i have all the documents needed for the interview but yet when the interviewer got done and the consul told me...your visa is approved but in order for us to completely process for your visa you need have to submit an nbi that has an aka thing...aka in which the last name of my ex husband was on it.
i was so happy that it was what he's asking from me.unlike other applicants where they needed 4 to 5 documents from the fiancee and from the beneficiary.
just be prepared and expect the unexpected.
good luck!

Hello, after weekksss of waiting, i finally get to schedule my fiance's interview appointment. First I did it online, signed up for an account/profile and halted because I keep on getting this error from MRV Receipt Confirmation Page. I called them today and they helped me continue to where i left off on the online scheduling. The earliest appointment I got is JULY 7th, she was able to send me the confirmation letter to print, but when I read it, noticed that the Line that says Embassy: Manila, but the address is 27 Napier Road Manila, Isn't the address of the Manila Embassy is 1201 Roxas Blvd blah blah blah? Will this be a problem when presented during the interview day? Thank you so much.
no.it wont be a problem.

To anyone who has gone through the entire filing process from start to finish, and been approved, etc.--
Is there ever a point in the process where they have ALL your information collected from you (papers, proof of relationship, records, income, proof of a home in the USA, etc.), and they no longer need to collect any more information from you, and they are now just "considering it"?? Like a point where you don't have to do any more, all you do now is just "wait?"
I was thinking after this point in the filing process, perhaps THEN I could go over seas, and wait it out with my honey. And then just get a new job, when I come back to the USA (with him, if its all approved, god willing).
oh the embassy has many excuses hehehe.make some xerox copies of the stuff you will gonna sent to the uscis then send the copies to your fiancee..for her records and humm make sure to bring all the originals on the date of the interview.

it doest matter on how many times your fiancee visited you.the question is:when did he visited you?
my fiancee visited me 2009.and we were able to file for the petition last yr.aug. 2010..because we've waited for my annulment to be registered at the nso..and that my nso marriage certificated be annotated that my marriage has been annuled.
my petition has been approved by the uscis jan.31,2012.i got a letter from the consulate by february and my daughter and i had our medical may 16 and got out interview may 24 and we were APPROVED.
when upon going to your interview..see to it to bring all the required documents you needed especially the evidences for the proof of your relationship...e mail, chat, phone bills, western union, hotel receipts, airlines and most of all pictures of your engagement or pictures with you him and your family.
good luck!

hey guys,if your fiancee got a letter from the consular office(embassy)it means that you can now start paying for the interview then you can call the embassy for an appointment for schedule.that's what i did when i got mine.
my daughter and i had our medical may 16 then our interview was may 24.our visa was approved though i need have to submit an nbi with aka my complete name using with my exhusband's last name with of course supported by some court order that the marriage has been annuled.
but sucks,my name got HIT.it means i need to wait for 2 weeks before it will be released.that two weeks will supposed to be my visa released.
sometimes its sad to say that..there's always reason and hindrances to encounter even you thought that all documents the us embassy needed are complete.i have my nbi using with my maiden name.since it was on the court order saying that i can used back maiden.so all my application are single hehehe.but embassy is embassy..nothing to do with it
.
so right now..im on the waiting period for my nbi to release.then will send it to the embassy together with our passports and the form 221g and a letter then will again wait for 2 weeks for the release.very heart breaking but its ok..after all the yrs of waiting...start from the annulment..application of the petition..medical and interview and hummm nbi and then now...
life sucks sometimes
...how i hope that the visa will be released before the school starts in the states.so that my daughter can enroll for grade 3.

my friend's us visa arrived on her doorstep a week after her visa interview.and then her fiancee bought her a ticket dated june 8.but the problem is..she haven't yet attended a seminar for PDOS/CFO.
by the way, im awaiting for my visa to arrived. i was interviewed at the embassy last may 24,2011.and the embassy people told me that my visa will arrived 2 weeks from the date of the visa approval.i told my fiancee not to buy yet a ticket for me and for my daughter..not unless i have the visa on me. and also i need have to attend the pdos.

i passed the visa interview last may 24, 2011.im now waiting for my visa.
there are many things i learn on this visa thing. if your fiancee is divorcee..he should send you copies of his divorce decree..

i have same question too hehehe.my interview at the us embassy will be this coming may 24 and my daughter schedule will be on the following day.
my question is...can my daughter go with me inside the embassy?even her schedule will be on the next day?

I'm in the process of filing for a K1 visa. However, I do have a couple of questions and need a little assistance. In my situation, my fiance from the Philippines is divorced and have sole custody of her children, (ex husband is gone, working in another country). She is NOT planning on taking the kids with her. (Children will be staying with her mom and family) Now my question is.... Do i fill out the children's name on the I129 form and does she disclose that on the ds156k visa form? If we do, would the embassy ask for a signed permission from her ex spouse to allow her, my fiance, even with her having sole custody of the kids to leave the country? Should we even disclose the kids information if they are not coming? I know that I can go ahead and provide the kinds information on the I129 form as the DS156k will ask if the kids will follow, and we can just put no. Would there be any problems with her being divorced and leaving the kids behind? Would the embassy ask the ex spouse for permission? Or would they even know she has kids if we just leave it blank? Just don't want any kind of problems, any response will be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
