because there is two parts were it needs signature.
one part is for the person who helped in filling it out
the other one is for the person going to the interview
but i dont know if my fiance ( whos going to the interview) signs it before or during the interview
If he is NOT fluent in english and you did fill out the form on his behalf then you will have to sign that part, if you did not then nobody signs it.
Your fiance will sign the other part at the interview when the IO asks him to do so.
-
Your mexican fiance will have to sign it at the interview in front of the IO when indicated, NOT before.

its right! 3 years from being a LPR and married to a USC.

Did you guys go to the famous green sand beach?
Mmmh no don't think so... We only went to the red and to the black sand beach.

I came on a k1 visa so I could not get out of the country so we decided to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon, it was our first time and it was pretty cool!
-
Dont worry about it. They don't care about little details like that.... In fact, when we sent ours we wrote that we intended to marry within 30 days (instead of 90 days... honest mistake!) And had no problems whatsoever. As long as both of your names are right and letters signed and dated you will be fine!

Choose Spouse (its the closest option to fiance). Good luck!

We sometimes spend around $100 a week for the 2 of us. Technically we could get away with shopping every fortnight but we like to keep the pantry and fridge stocked. For a while there while we were both unemployed we had the pantry so well stocked from before we stopped work that we spent maybe $50 a month on chicken, beef, milk, cheese and bread.
How much you spend depends on how you like to live. My husband and I are the same in that we like to be able to eat what we "feel like" when we're hungry. That means making sure we have what we like in stock. I also like to keep a cake mix and frosting on standby in case someone has a birthday/special event and I don't have time to shop. I also have a box of cards for special occasions so I'm not stuck without one of those either. I like to be prepared
I am the same way, I like having snacks and stuff we like in stock for when we feel like eating it. Although I have to be very careful and try not to get things that I LOVE because then I will eat them in one day
I try to get stuff that I just 'like' and I know I wont devour immediately.

One day, my husband and his officemate had a conversation about breakfast. My husband commented that oatmeal, bagels and cereal are starting to get less appealing to him and he wished that he'd have assorted flavors for breakfast. Then his officemate seriously replied, "That's why I have five different types of cereal at home."
So what do you guys make for breakfast? In the Philippines, we would eat rice morning, noon and nighttime. Heck, we even make pork adobo and rice for breakfast! I know I cannot do that since my husband won't eat anything heavy at the start of the day.
Feel free to share some recipes, doable ideas and websites where you get breakfast concepts from.
As much as I love rice I don't think I could eat it for breakfast, lunch AND dinner!
Our week-day breakfasts are usually pretty simple... my husband has a banana and a bagel and I have a cup of coffee/chocolate and a toast with jelly or something.
Since neither of us work during the weekend we have more time to make something... we usually have either eggs with bacon, cereal, biscuits, croissant sandwiches or pancakes. Pretty much the same every weekend but having it after a whole week it does not really get old for us
Btw, even though I don't eat much cereal, I do too like having like 3 or 4 different cereals at home!

Interview this Thursday. Wish us luck!
Btw, to those who have had their interviews, did you get questioned separately or at the same time?
Together
Good luck!

I also never got the DS3025 in my home country but had all my vaccination records. When I got to the US I went to the CS to get them transcribed and yes you have to pay for that but its not as expensive as getting all vaccines in the US. Good luck!

I honestly would Not like to have my own wedding WITHOUT my loved one just to save some bucks. At the end of the day you still have to go thru all the immigration process so whats the point??

- He needs the police letter ONLY if he has criminal background.
- The 2 medicals are pretty much right next to each other and I assume they work the same way. You dont need appointment to get your medical done so it does not really matter which one you go to. I have no idea what days they close, you might be able to look it up.
- The questions during the interview are pretty random and depends on everyone's situation. They will probably ask you how you met your fiance, where, what does he/she do for a job etc etc
Read some of the reviews from CDJ, they are very helpful. My link

take the book to the interview?? mmh I would say no, I honestly don't think they would care. Although He could take only the payment receipt for the venue or the church, that's probably better evidence of your intentions to marry and even easier than carrying a book
... Good luck!

Yeah I am still working on getting what they asked for... She told me to mail or fax my new evidence, which I have not done yet of course. I really hope she did change her mind

Hi! I am worried and confused...
I Had my interview 2 days ago and I just got this email today.
Decision
On February 9, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days
I know that means you are approved, the thing is.... I got a RFE at the interview and I have not sent anything yet so how come I am approved already?? I will still try to get the info they request for just in case but this is just confusing.
The RFE was for something very stupid (I think so!) but the IO said she could not approve me if I did not provide the documents and that at the same time she did not want to deny it for something like this.... I don't understand

Hi guys,
I have had my interview on Jan 11 and got request for evidence and I sent that right when I got home. The guy who interviewed us said that once we sent him the things asked for then he will approve it. However, I haven't heard anything since then and when I call USCIS, I don't get to customer service. It is just a touch tone call the whole time. What # do I call, where I can talk to someone about the pending case?
what was the RFE for if you dont mind??

Groceries got really expensive within the past 2 years. That's when I started to write everything down we spend, every day. In fact, I have an EXCEL list for that. So our average monthly grocery bill in 2011 was $1,260.95, Starbucks $272.30, eating out $262.26.
We buy fresh wherever possible, go to the Farmers Market once a week, buy groceries mostly at Trader Joe's, some at Vons, some at Target, some at Fresh & Easy at the street corner, some at a 99 cent store, and a few selected items at Lassens and the local Anapurna store.
I put a certain amount of cash in our drawer every week. That's the spending money for the week. Before writing everything down, I wondered where all this cash ended up. We did buy "nothing" yet had no money left at the end of the week. We use cash wherever, whenever possible, so it's really a revelation to look at all the expenses at the end of the month and again at the end of the year and try to figure out where we can save money in the future.
wow! $1260 for how many people? seems like a lot to me!!

You should definitely move to Colorado, its awesome and so many outdoor activities to do!
I still struggle with the high altitude but I know I will get used to it at some point.

im planing about 75 a day for two people but we are planning to eat out one meal and stay in the room or buy a low budget meal for the other two meals.
75 a day??? or week?? 75 a day would be crazy!!....
My husband and I have a deal that he pays the bills and I pay the groceries so trying to keep it inexpensive I started going for 40/week (not including beer
) which now that I see yous guys' posts I realized its a little stingy
but it has worked for the past couple weeks! We are only 2 though and my husbands takes leftovers for lunch so we are saving on that too. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up.
And I dont buy the cheapest meat I see, neither the most expensive of course. I usually try to get healthy stuff, we eat a lot of fruit and always meat, chicken, seafood is in our menu.
Its amazing how expensive it gets when u have babies! We will have to start saving now....

I was wondering why nobody was commenting and I realized the topic was locked
Anyways... feel free to comment and give ideas if you would like to
I am trying to set a weekly/monthly budget for our groceries (for only 2 people) and want to see what's the average as I have no idea and I have seen a lot of extremely different budgets, I know it depends also on where you live but I would like to get an idea at least

You can work in odesk even if you don't have a work permit..all you have to do is register and take the readiness test for you to be able to apply for at least 15 jobs per week. There are lots of successful people in there that earned bucks doing online jobs..if you have a call center experience, thats a plus..coz you can be a call center agent at home and the rate is good...and you can chose a lot of jobs depending on your skills..
Wrong!! It is NOT legal to work without an EAD or GC. Just because its an online job doesn't make it legal.
Unless you want to do it under the table that's totally up to you, otherwise you need to wait for your EAD.
How do I get a H1-b visa quickly?
in Work Visas
Posted
You can't get a H1-B visa on your own at all, H-1B work-authorization is strictly limited to employment by the sponsoring employer. So you first need to find a job that would be willing to sponsor you thru the process, which is not easy and then I believe they have to demonstrate that nobody else would be able to do what you do... I hope you have awesome skills cause you are going to need them for this. I am not sure about the temp work visa though, that might be an 'easier' option.
