N01 Received 4-14-2012. Priority date of April 6th, 2012. What does that mean exactly?

Priority date is the date they assigned to your case and they placed it in line to be procecessed by that date order. The WAC number is what you will need to keep up with. Go to USCIS.gov website and you will see a place to enter that number on the top left hand side. Entering it anytime you wish to check on the process of your case. You can also set up an account on this page and sign up for automatic updates. If they change anything, look at anything, make any notes, you can be notified aut...

Be patient AlexBa that is all I can say and pray for you to have patience. I know exactly what you are going through. We, you and I have been on this VJ a long time now. But we are still here! With God's grace. USCIS is taking longer than usual to process the applications. Call them and stay on top of it weekly and don't forget to ask questions. DID you put in a service request?

I am traveling to Nigeria the end of August to marry my love. Then to restart the whole process over with a spouse visa. This is so hard. When I arrive in Nigeria we are going to plan our strategy. But from reading all of the posts here at VJ I know that I will have to come back to Nigeria to live with my husband to be until the time of his interview. Any thoughts on how to go about making such a move let me know. I've already started selling off little things. Because I won't be able...

Humm, not sure how to go about getting airline ticket for my man when the time comes. You see I do not have a credit card to use. I normally pay cash or use a pre-paid card. For example, if I purchase his ticket using a pre-paid card, does he need that card to show at the airport ticket counter? Now that I am thinking about it, I probably could make the reservation then wire him the money to pay for the ticket. If anyone else has been in this type of situation, let me know what worked for you...

In the US buy a Visa or MC or AMEX pre paid . Purchase air fare w. card . Send the Card to him if you want . He dosent really needs the card the Confirmation # on the TIcks should be ok . However w. baggage fees he may have to pay .
So send the empty card and after he recive the CC add some money into the account . and presto .

When I was reading over the email I received for the K1 interview, one of the documents required is a certified copy of my tax return. I sent a regular copy of the return along with all of the other forms for my fiance. Does anyone know for sure if the uncertified copy will be OK for his interview? I still have plenty of time to mail it to him if it has to be certified. Thanks VJ for all of the help! Certainly is making this journey a whole lot easier!
