We were curious as to how early we can send in the I765 Application for Employment Authorization. I seem to recall the USCIS person I talked on the phone saying to send it in as soon as possible. Can we send it in before the I129 is approved? Before she gets here? Before she gets a SSN?
Thanks everyone for the help

We wanted to see if anyone has any ideas how soon the interview date will be after we get our NOA2. We sent our I129F at the end of April, and got our NOA1 on May 5. We estimate we should get our NOA2 at the beginning of October and I am very anxious to buy my plane ticket to see my love to be there for her interview. Does anyone have any good estimates? Thanks for the help.

That is quite obvious. The actual question we asked is if we were to get married before our K1 is approved, do we need to change to a K3, since we already started the K1. The question was related to a change of circumstances after the process has already been started. Thank you for trying though.

*Moved from Off Topic to K1 forum*
You will need to start over from square 1. File a new spouse visa petition and include the filing fee.
We didn't marry yet so we will wait for it to get approved. Thanks for moving this for me. I was not sure where to put it.

We were not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I will be returning to the Philippines to see asawa ko before our K1 visa application is approved and we plan to get married at that time. Do we need to change to a K3 visa if we do get married before the K1 is approved? Salamat everyone

My fiancee and I are waiting patiently for our paperwork to be approved but we both are both getting frustrated with having to communicate over the internet. We get fuzzy video, lost audio, dropped connections, IM crashing, computers rebooting, and so on. We primarily use Yahoo messenger or Skype to communicate with audio and video but both of those seem to longer work properly, so its becoming very difficult to talk without any problems. We would like the VisaJourney community to give us some ideas or alternatives that we can use to communicate without any technological problems. We thank you in advance for your ideas

Thanks for helping all us new people to this process. The help has been indispensable for completing this process correctly.
If you go back to the original thread I moved, I left this little "trinket" of information.
The information is a direct copy/paste of the US Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum description per the powers that be here at VJ. The highlighted section is the important section as well as the WHY behind the thread being moved. Which therefore was explained to you originally and no thread such as this was ever warranted.

Thank you to everyone that explained why the posts are moved. An explanation would have been nice and for all the people that have been on this site forever, thanks for all the help because it has definitely made the process MUCH easier. Why would anyone pay for a lawyer when they can just come here for advice? It's beyond me.

Wow payxibka actually wrote something. If I am a "clueless newbie", be kind and advise me that there are certain areas to put certain threads. I AM new to this and I don't know all the intricacies of this site. I appreciate you putting the correct topics in the correct place, but give some advice to new people instead of just moving stuff around. I'm done with this topic. Thanks for actually writing something.

Ever since payxibka moved our "Types of income for I134" thread to the US Embassy and Consulate Discussion, we have not received any more responses. Is it possible to just leave the threads where they are? Does payxibka do anything else other than moving threads?

Hello everyone. I have a question about the income for the I134. I know the answer will probably be get a co-sponsor but I want to ask anyway. Currently I am a student without a permanent full time job. I am working as a chemical engineering co-op until may 19th and I will earn about $12,500 for that period of time. However, this job is not permanent. I will have a permanent job when I graduate in spring 2014. Additionally, I have income from a rental property I own which is $19,800 per year. The unfortunate thing is that this house is probably going to be foreclosed soon because I have not been able to pay the mortgage due to my long time tenants moving out last year ( they had been replaced with new tenants several months later) and $8,000 in repairs I needed to make. Also, I get about $10,000 a year in cash from an excess of student loans and pell grants. Can all of this "income" be considered for the I134 or should I just try to find a co-sponsor?

I am applying for a K1 visa for my beautiful fiancee to be with me here in the states and we have a few questions about the process.
1) Is it advisable to print the forms on resume paper?
2) Is there a particular order we should put the paperwork in?
3) Should we punch holes in all the papers and send it in a 3 ring binder?
4) Should we print all the papers on one side only (not double sided)?
5) Are the letter of admission and letter of intent the same thing?
6) Do we need a certificate of no marriage?
7) Should we number each page and create a table of contents using those numbers?
8) Should we label all of our pictures with what we were doing at the time?
9) Should we get the I129F and G325A form notarized?
10) We know our relationship is genuine but how do we prove to the consul that it is genuine. What can we include to convince the consul beyond
doubt that we are bona fide.
11) Should we include copies of our ID's?
I know this is a lot of questions and some are probably irrelevant but we are both very anxious about this application and want to do it right.
We thank you for all the help you can provide.
Paul and Haidee.

I think that he should have told you all of this before he brought you over here. To keep it from the person he loves until you are here and stuck is very deceitful and wrong. I am still working on bringing my fiancee over here and I told her straight up that things will not be easy while I am finishing up my degree. I told her that I was having problems with my tenants, trouble with the house, and money is very tight while I am still in school. But ya know what? Even though its put a strain on our relationship sometimes, she has stuck with me because she loves me. If he truly knows that you love him with all your heart, then he would have told you before you came over here. I understand that he would want to protect the business in the unfortunate event that you get divorced, but he should have been open and honest before you came here. What is he going to do if you don't sign it? Not marry you? If that's the case then he is not the right guy for you. If that happens, although you love him, he does not love you. Thats just my opinion. Good luck and I hope everything works out for the best.
Oh and yes, we Americans are weird. Sometimes I wish I lived in a country that had better morals and stronger family bonds...
