Not going well for a buddy of mine.

Here is what I know :

They were married there

She has been here 3 years

Green card (aos) interview this Friday ( April 9th 2010)

Us guys call your Princess

She is a high maintance person,

doesn't like to work,

house work is not for her,

on the web according to her she is single and looking (with nude photos)

Husband is an hard worker and provides your with everthing, no abuse from him,she is running up ALOT of debt,she is demanding a child or else, she has told him she would of left before the getting green card but she does care (lol)

Now he says enough is enough .................

His options are ?

I know someone can give me the answers to this,you guys out there are full of answers and solutions since I came to VISAJOURNEY.COM

By the way my marriage to the queen of the Philippines is good ........... and the food she cooks !

Just my two cents worth ............ besides the lines about 1 hour of them .........no stress very easy very friendly .......they could not find a piece of paper work they need and told the wife " Not to worry we WILL find it !

all and all a very pleasant for her and being very nervous she said it was easy !!!

So we can apply for citizenship after three years from the date on her first green card ( that is now expired )

Sorry it is so confusing ........ thought I had a handle on this stuff but now I think not.

She has had her green card ( which is now expired) we just received the letter which says she is now a permanent resident and should receive your new card within 60 days ,your card will include a mailer( ? ) ,form I-797D ( ? ) with important information about your status,responsibilities, and permanet resident services available to you .

So I assume this is the 10 year green card and really need to know when is the soonest we can file for her citizenship.

After three hours of looking and looking ....... when can we file the N-400 ? She has recieved the notice of Permanent Resident ( 10 year green card ) date of decision was 11-4-09 and her admission date was 8-22-09.

The more I read the more lost I get .

That's what it appears to be .....but whom am I......... I thought as my post reads you could do both at the same time but as the time gets closer we will know for sure .........green card 90 days before it expires is a for sure .........

Maybe with the new Preseident he will just say "What the hell ..they have waited long enough"

Guess what I need to know now, can we file both the I-751 and the N-400 at the same time ......... seems to me I seen that someplace on here but just can't find it and her card expires in September of '09 and I thought that we can file for both at the same time,since the N-400 might take up to a year ??

So here I am once again and after much reading ............ #1 Do we file for the I-751 and file the and the N-400 for naturalization at the same time ? Here on K-1 and the 90 day mark will be in June of 2008.

June seems so far away but I know better .

If you will look at our time line it was just about a month .......seemed alot longer .......but it was a sigh of releif when it was in her hands

We used the married name and had no problems .........passport was in maiden name ......drivers license also

We always use https://www.xoom.com/ but as I was looking at their website I see no russia

OK .......she has the green card ...Question #1 she is now a permanent resident so at customs to get back home from her visit, she will show them passport,green card and marriage cert. to get out of the Philippines or am I just getting tired?

What can we take out of her passport ? She has CFO sticker ( that will stay?) CFO certificate ( that will come out?)Her I-94 ( comes out ?) Visa Sticker ( it stays ? ) I assume the stickers stay in and the stapled stuff comes out, but I had to ask visajourney.com just to be sure.

In the USA she will show passport ...green card and marriage cert.

We did call the Philippine Embassy in Chicago and they said three weeks to change passport ....but we weren't going to take their word for it so will will wait till she comes back from her visit to do that.

What was the reason it took sooooo long?

Have no idea .......sounds like the normal wait time ....she wasn't going any place any way

After she gets the green card ( when somone does their job )what will she need to travel to the Philippines and back to U.S. ? The passport is in her maiden name .....the green card will be in her married name.The plane ticket will be in her married name .... I assume. I thought I read on here she just needs a copy of our marriage certificate to prove whom she is.

#2. How big of a hassle is it going to be to change her passport from the Philippines to her married name ?

That was one of the first things we did when Eugenia got here .........sorta wished we had waited till after we were married ...... but she has a checking ....savings ....and the ss number is good for those so get it now or after you two get married ........... no real hurry.

Finally called the USCIS because we are out of the normal time frame and spoke to a real person and were told to call back in 45 days to recheck on application. At least now they know we are alive and kicking in Wisconsin.

That really sucks ...... but any thing from Califonia would be nice now

Same thing happened here ....got home from Bio appt. in Milwaukee and in the mail was a letter saying we got transfer to CSC also and nothing since ............Go to the west coast for an interview ............naw ,but with the goverment ......???? you never know .. but i really think you will be bac in Milwaukee.
