  1. I've seen a post for April filers for VSC, but I'm at CSC. So, I didn't feel it was for me. Besides, shouldn't we be able to just band together regardless of which service center we're looking towards? C'mon, April filers... let's hear from you.

Sorry if I made you feel excluded :(

I did not hear any noise from CSC filers so I thought that they did not want to be active in discussions...horrible assumption I know!

You are more than welcome in the April filers that was created before, I mean who am I to exclude anyone from an OPEN forum!

My NOA1 date was 4.7.2011 and we sent it 4.6.2011...I hope that we are lucky enough to receive NOA2 with that speed as well!!!!

  2. Thank you for starting the April 2011 forum. It will be nice to see how everyone is progressing.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Our Visa Journey:

4/15/11- Mailed I-129f tp Dallas Lockbox

4/22/11- E-Notification, forwarded to Vermont Service Center

4/22/11- DHS cashed my check, $340

you are very welcome! I am so excited to finally be in game lol. We have some months ahead of us but it seems like VSC is picking the pace back up. I looked back for a year and two and there were people getting their NOA2 in 2 months! OK so that's not going to happen with most of us now, but it is still a possibility! But I have my mind set on 5.5-6 months for NOA2 and if it comes quicker I will be twice as happy

  3. Does anybody know what month they are filing right now?...vermont service center..

My 5 months are gonna hit in 2 days,,,im Itching to call,, Anyone know what number to call off hand..Saves me the work lol

I think someone called last week and they told them Nov 2.

The number I have, which I think is just the general USCIS number, is 800 375 5283

  4. My I-129F packet contains 60 pages of g-28s, i-129F, supporting docs, and etc.. My question does the whole package (60 pages) get sent over to the consular/embassy where where my fiance is at?

Yes, everything you sent USCIS with your petition, including any more evidence due to an RFE, gets sent over to the consulate.

  5. Oh the approximate date changes on our timeline? I had no idea! Oh man, now that's another thing to check!! Haha, to be honest, at least it's something to do you know? Coz this is the worst part. The waiting. Where you can't do anything! I want to try to organise my police reports but then I keep thinking, well what is our NOA2 doesn't come for ages and then they aren't valid anymore :-s Ergh. Luckily my lovely fiance bought his plane ticket 2 days ago so he'll be here in a month to 'officially' propose, well, get down on one knee and give me a ring anyway :P It'll be so great to be able to hold hands with him again. Haha, out of everything that's what I miss the most this second, how weird.

Yes it changes as people update their timelines. If there are not enough approvals in a couple of days the dates change for a later date and if alot of approvals happen in one or two days the dates move closer. And you are right, it does give us something to do because i can tell this wait is going to be hard lol! BUT we have just started our journey so we need to be as patient as can be lol!

I too am going to see my fiance at the end of June. I know what you mean, it's the smallest little details that we miss the most!

  6. Eeek! Also got my NOA1 in April :-s I half wish I'd never found Igor's List, I feel like all I do these days is refresh that page to see how quick Vermont is going :P Good luck to all of us!

Normally, I check the forum out and then limit myself to checking Igor's list twice a day...lol...still alot I know. It is exciting to see how VSC is picking up the pace though...I check the approximate date of NOA2 on my timeline too, but I limit that to once a day...lol

  7. I sent my package on April 12th to Lewsiville, Tx., they received it on the 13th, but I haven't received any text/e-mail, NOA on the mail and the check has not cleared yet... what is going on?? :(

Yea, just wait it out...it's funny because we just started and this is supposed to be the fastest step and look at us! :bonk:

lol...I have not received my hardcopy yet and it's been 2 weeks.

  8. Right now you are still at 3 months. At VSC (vermont service center) NOA2 are taking anywhere from 5-7 months. Lately they have been speeding things up so you could be looking at a late June early July approval. After the NOA2 (approval), your case is forwarded to the NVC (national visa center). Normally it stays there a week or so and then it is sent to DR. While at NVC you will receive your new sdo case number and possibly an interview date which lately has been 1.5-2.0 month wait.

After your fiance is approved, she will enter US and you have 90 days to marry. You then file for AOS (adjustment of status) along with EAD (employment authorization document) and AP (advance parole). You have to wait for AP in order for her to be able to travel outside of the US. Once she receives a greencard, she can leave the US for upto 6 months at a time, but that is not recommended (leaving for that long). They need to see that her PERMANENT residence is the US (she resides here most of the year).

    Good luck!

  9. I am also an April filer. I filed on April 1, 2011. My NOA1 is dated April 6th confirming that they received it on April 4th. I am applying for my baby who lives in Cuba. It is my understanding that once the I129F is approved, it takes as much as 8 months to get an interview appoint at the US Interest Section in Havana. :-[

oh no! :o Why? That seems like an awful long time

good luck to you guys starting this journey....

Thank You! I do hope things continue on the speedy route at VSC!
