Please ignore information from people not filing DCF London. Embasssy's requirements differ from each other.
You DO NEED your ACPO issued Police certificate for your medical in London. I quote from the US London Embassy website:
Forms and documents that must be presented to the examining physician on the day of the appointment:
A photograph for each person attending the medical, including babies. The specifications of the photograph are the same as those obtained for the visa;
Vaccination records for each person attending the medical, including babies. Vaccination records are dependent on age. See chart on pages 7 & 8;
Passport, driving license or photo license (applicants aged 15 and over only);
Police certificate issued by ACPO – (applicants aged 16 and over only);
Medical questionnaire which is printed on page 9 of this packet much be completed for each person attending a medical, including babies; and
Applicants who have ever been treated for Tuberculosis (TB) are required to bring all medical and specialist reports relating to the diagnosis and treatment
HTH.

Good luck Tiekey!
I got a bit confused with this "Approval" today, as for some reason I was under the impression that I'm supposed to get NOA1 and THEN NOA2. Not directly to NOA2.
So I've scanned the docco to help someone else to not get confused. Maybe, it's just me that gets easily confused but anyway...
For those who don't know this is what a NOA2 from London USCIS looks like if you file DCF.
Obviously I have removed all personal details and also the Field Officers signature.
HTH someone!

I'm not a DCF expert but I do read a lot of London things. And I recall others saying there is no NOA1 from London. It's exactly as you said--I guess my "NOA1" was when USCIS London took the payment from our credit card.
That's what I thought. I've been reading sooooooo much stuff on VJ and yet I missed this snippet of info saying that I might not even get a NOA1...
Thanks everyone for the congrats! It came as a bit of surprise, but I'm not complaining!
I'll post the scanned docco in the UK London DCF thread as it's country/embassy specific and I don't want to confuse anyone that is not filing via DCF in London.

I have to go to work soon. As soon as I'm back I'll scan this document - removing all the personal info - and post it here, so that it can help not just me but anyone else as well.
It clearly states: "The visa petition you filed has been approved"
Timeline updated.

Macrowe, I pm'ed you about this "advice" I gave you....
-
If it says that the petition is approved then it shall be your NOA2 therefore congratulations !!!
Thanks!
I think I was confused as I never received a NOA1....I guess my "NOA1" was when USCIS London took the payment from our credit card???

Hi there everyone,
I need some clarification please.
I just received a letter called "Notice of Approval form I-171" for my I-130 from USCIS at the American Embassy in London.
I was under the impression that this is NOA1....but it seems it's NOA2 as it's an "APPROVAL" and not a "RECEIPT"....
Is:
NOA1 = RECEIPT of I-130 and,
NOA2 = APPROVAL of I-130?
Many thanks.

Notice of Approval just arrived in the post!! Yay!! The "real" journey has begun....
No email, no text message, although the G-1145 was completed in full...hang in there guys it is happening....albeit slowly.
-
Yaaaaaay!!!! Congrats!
-
Wow! I wish the London embassy was THAT quick! German efficiency I guess... Congrats!

Hi there,
The next thing to expect is your NOA1. You wont' get a: "thank your for sending your I-130" or anything alike if that is what you were expecting. The confirmation that they got it, IS the credit card payment on your bank statement. There is a timeline on the US London embassy website that indicates what dates they are currently working on. If you filed 2 weeks ago you still have a lot of waiting to do. As you will be able to see on my timeline, we filed the 31st January and is still waiting for NOA1. It is like watching paint dry. At least you doing it with all of us and your not alone.

Hi there,
We emailed Kay Bailey Hutchison 3 weeks ago. No response from her. Not even a "auto response" or anything alike.
Guess the fact that my wife is a democrat isn't going to help....at least you're not alone in you struggles.

GooBear it doesn't seem like you've had a definitive answer so far about what to include and what not....I included ONLY what the check-list asked for. My reasoning for this is that I had to apply for my UK visa's and citizenship as I'm originally South African...so I've been through one system already (Yes I know it's not the same as applying for American visa's etc.) BUT I'm willing to bet the bureaucracy is the same. So if they ask for only this and that on check list then that is only what they'll use....I've had several aunties at the UK Visa Offices nearly throwing things back at me when I was applying for UK visa's and had attached "unwanted stuff"...I'll see what happens with my I-130 when it gets processed....one day....because the processing is going at a snails pace if you look at THIS.

Hi there just wanted to post a quick update and let people know how I have gone on so far.
I had my medical last week and will be going for my interview next Tuesday.
From my experience I have learned that the embassy never get in touch in good time and it is worth ringing the expensive number as they have been very helpful to me, for example I have my interview next week and had I not rang to ask I still wouldn't know this, same goes for when I was waiting and getting my case number.I reckon I have shaved a month off of processing time by calling the number and asking whats going on. And for what its worth I tried the numbers for the switchboard and to get direct through to immigration and the people were not very helpful.
I am expecting to be denied my immigrant visa at the interview as I haven't had the required vaccines and so I will be filing an I601 waiver for this on the day.I will keep you posted with any news on this as it seems few people have gone down this path.For anybody interested the people at the medical didn't seem to think it was that big a deal to not get vaccines but we shall see what immigration say next week!
So how did it go Daca?

Wow, this is like watching paint dry...Petition Times Please remind me why we paid $400 + again...

Hi. I'm the UKC; my wife's the USC. We filed the I-130 on February 7 2012, and so far, not heard anything (not even an email).
Thanks
Andy
Hi Andy,
We sent our I-130 on the 31st January 2012, nothing here as well mate. Checked the Embassy in London website..."As of February 28, 2012, we are processing petitions filed on December 05, 2011."....I've seen timelines of people sending their I-130's to Chicago and 2 days later, NOA1.....gmmmmmmmmf!!!!
-
I-130 just came back.....fee is suppose to be $420.....check list on the 25/01/2012 said £355.....not a great start to my Tuesday.
-
Phew! Thank you, at least we have a few more days then to sell and arrange everything!
You have 6 months from the date the visa is issued to arrive in the USA.
-
Hi there everyone,
My wife and I are going to start the process for a CR1/IR1 London DCF this week. All the I-130 stuff has been collected and is ready to be mailed. My question isn't really regarding this so much...it's actually more about the last part of the process.
I have been told by someone - that used this forum - that after the CR1/IR1 is issued you have 90 days to leave for the US?
Is this still true, because I have just read in the "Guides" that you have 6 months i.e closer to 180 days?
Or is this a variable that is determined by the embassy?
Many thanks.
G.

Thanks once again for that info.
Luckily we've had a shared bank account, rental agreements and bills in both our names for nearly 5 years - so that should hopefully be enough.
Oh BTW she is the USC and I'm the "alien"...
-
Thanks, once again, that is very helpful, for some reason I was under the impression that we will be doing a lot of "toing-and-froing".
This is good news as we live outside the M25.
I have another question. All my wife's documentation is still in her maiden surname, is this going to be an issue?
-
I think I've read to much today because I'm starting to confuse myself. Do you ever visit the embassy except for the interview?

Holly, have you read this on the embassy website already?
